Pascal Bachmann and Clément Seyler with Street Art Racing in 2019

Street Art Racing continues its preparations for the 2019 season. After taking part in testing the new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 at Donington, the Belgian team can introduce its first crew for the GT4 European Series 2019. Recruited in AM, Pascal Bachmann and Clément Seyler are both eager to learn, particularly with advice from Maxime Martin.

Winter is an intense time for the Street Art Racing team. Before very soon receiving its two new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars, the team led by Albert Bloem and Damien Hellebuyck has been taking part in tests of the new car at the Donington circuit. Julien Darras, a Street Art Racing driver in 2018, and the team members were able to savour the undeniable qualities of their new drive.

At the same time, negotiations are ongoing to determine the crews which will have the opportunity to drive one of the two Aston Martin Vantage cars in the GT4 European Series next year. « From the beginning, our aim has been to have a pairing capable of being among the leaders and another to play a role in the AM category, » says Damien Hellebuyck, Team Manager. « And today we are delighted to announce this crew!«

Already part of the team last year, the former Swiss rally driver Pascal Bachmann is back in the European competition. « Last year, I really had to learn everything, » he says. « And GT racing is very different from historic vehicle rallying! Even though it was not so easy all the time in such a competitive pack of 45 cars, I learned a great deal and … I enjoyed myself! So I am extremely happy to be back with Street Art Racing, and the new Aston Martin Vantage. I will be driving at Monza, Castellet and Zandvoort, which is always enjoyable. With my new team mate, I also hope we can make a good showing in the AM category.”

Pascal’s new team mate will be the young driver Clément Seyler. Only 19 years of age, the Luxembourg driver has won three national karting titles and will enjoy his first full season in motor sport. « To tell you the truth, I will only have five races to my credit before the start of the season, » smiles the baccalaureate student, at school in Reims. « So far I have only driven touring cars and everything went very well. Obviously, driving the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be altogether different! But my first experiences have shown that I am capable of learning quickly and I can tell you that I am doing everything I can to maximise my chances: preparing physically, learning circuits on the simulator, analysing acquired data and so on.”

Sporting godson of Stéphane Ortelli and recommended by Henri Pescarolo in person, Clément is not lacking in ambition. « I dream of making motor sport my career, » he says with confidence. « I think that driving an Aston Martin, and knowing the great interest the manufacturer has in young people, is the best choice for me to start my career. And to do it with Street Art Racing, a team with such a fine knowledge of the car, makes me so happy I cannot wait for the season to begin! «

Remember that Clément and Pascal will both have the benefit of advice from Maxime Martin, who will be coaching the Street Art Racing drivers in 2019. This will also be the case for the second crew, details of which have not yet been finalised.
