Race Performance wins again in the Asian Le Mans Series

10 nov 1 Podium[/caption]  Second race, second win – Race Performance and it’s Partner MOMO-Megatron took also the victory in the second round of the Asian Le Mans Series in Sepang. After a difficult race with the Oreca 03 R Niki Leutwiler and Shinji Nakano in Malaysia rejoiced once more on the highest step of the podium. The 5,543 kilometres long circuit dried off after heavy rain shower right in time for the formation lap of the race, what was relief for all drivers. Started from second place Niki Leutwiler and Shinji Nakano impressed with a huge fighting spirit once more and took over the lead with their LMP2 racer. “I had a bad start”, explained Shinji Nakano. “At the beginning of the race I had to fight with an oversteering car.” The warm and humid conditions became a further 10 nov 2challenge for the swiss crew Race Performance. “The hot temperature customary in Sepang during this time of the year is really exhausting, especially if you face the competition with only two drivers at the steering-wheel”, so Niki Leutwiler. After the race distance of three hours the driver duo crossed the finish line on first place with an advantage of 46 seconds on the rest of the competitors. “It was a good race, but also a difficult one”, Niki Leutwiler draws a balance. “I am sure that the experience and professionalism of the team Race Performance were the key for the success also here in Sepang.” His team mate Shinji Nakano was satisfied as well with the result of the race. “It’s always a great feeling to be on the top step of the podium. I am really happy”, so the Japanese.“ The whole team has made a great job in quite difficult conditions”, team manager Michel Frey was full of joy after the second win in the Asian endurance championship. “Now we put the focus on the next race in Thailand were we will try to repeat this great performance another time.” 10 nov 3The third round of the Asian Le Mans Series with a distance of three hours takes place from January, 8th to 10th, on the Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.
