Kaspersky Motorsport team prepares for the Gulf 12 Hours Race

FB_IMG_1449646612351The Kaspersky Motorsport team, made up of Alexander Moiseev, Riccardo Ragazzi and Francisco Guedes, will participate in the Gulf 12 Hours Enduranc Race on 11th December at Abu Dhabi’s famous Yas Marina racetrack.

The Kaspersky Motorsport drivers will participate in two six-hour races on one of the longest and most challenging circuits in the world, ensuring a fast race and constant competition for the drivers. The team will take the wheel of the Ferrari 458 GT3 in GENT class, which is serviced by the Italian AF Corse team, starting the two-stage race in daylight and finishing at night.

Designed by the renowned architect, Hermann Tilke, the track has been built on Abu Dhabi’s coastline, giving it a feel similar to that of the circuits in Monaco and Valencia. The track winds around the charming, newly constructed marina on the island of Yas, offering spectators an ideal viewing platform from the comfort of their yachts.

The circuit offers a variety of unique fast straights and tight corners that are ideal for overtaking – posing a challenge for drivers. In addition, the pit lane exit has been designed to partially run through a special tunnel underneath the track.

I recall Abu Dhabi from a Ferrari challenge where I was leading the race, but due to a technical problem finished fifth. The venue is fantastic and we expect many surprises from the race due to the fact that we start early in lower temperatures and will then encounter high temperatures which could affect the engine. We aim to stick to our strategy of accurate and fast driver changes during the pit stops”, comments Kaspersky Motorsport driver Alexander Moiseev.

The race takes place on 11th December with part one of the Gulf 12 Hours Endurance Race running from 09:00 to 15:00; and part two from 17:45 to 23:45 (local time).
