Supercars – Striking reveal for Simona De Silvestro's Harvey Norman entry

Simona De Silvestro will enter her third full-time Supercars Championship with a fresh, striking look on her Team Harvey Norman Nissan Altima this year.

Continuing with major support from Harvey Norman, De Silvestro says that she is better prepared than ever to tackle the 2019 Supercars Championship after a busy off-season of international testing and racing. As a new addition for 2019, De Silvestro’s #78 entry features backing from Japanese multinational brand Canon.

The 2019 Supercars Championship is De Silvestro’s third full-time season, having made her Supercars debut as a wildcard entry in the 2016 Bathurst 1000. She ended the 2018 season with a strong run of results, including a career-best 10th place in Saturday’s season-ending Newcastle street race. The off-season has not been a case of rest and recover. De Silvestro spent her time in Europe, testing for Formula E team Venturi and competing in the classic American endurance race – the Daytona 24 Hours with Meyer Shank Racing.

De Silvestro will get her first Supercars drive for 2019 at the pre-season Phillip Island test ahead of the opening round of the Supercars Championship at the Superloop Adelaide 500, the world-famous South Australian street race.

SIMONA DE SILVESTRO – #78 TEAM HARVEY NORMAN : « I don’t think I’ve ever felt as prepared for a season as I have for this one. After Newcastle, I did some Formula E testing in Saudi Arabia, and then competed in my first 24 Hour endurance race at Daytona. I certainly feel race fit and ready for my third season in Supercars. The Team Harvey Norman car looks great, as always, and I’m really looking forward to getting back on board at the Phillip Island test. »
