Perfect start into the Asian Le Mans Series for Race Performance

2015-10-12-raceperformance-1 First race, first victory – the season opener of the Asian Le Mans Series on the Fuji Circuit in Japan has been a full success for the team Race Performance. Due to an impressive achievement of Shinji Nakano and Niki Leutwiler the team secured the win on the race track full of tradition at the foot of the mount Fuji. After the tremendous success the Swiss squad is really looking forward to the next races in the fiercely fought Series.   Started into the race from the pole position, the driver duo during the initial part of the race was involved in a thrilling battle for the top. However, in the further course of the race the two drivers of the team Race Performance managed to lay a gap to the rest of the field and finally crossed the finish line with a huge advantage.   “That’s our common success”, shone local hero Shinji Nakano. The former Formula 1 driver was totally thrilled about his first race with team from Switzerland. “Race Performance is really a professional team, all my expectations were more than satisfied. The performance of the car was quite convincing and to stand on the podium in front of my home crowd means something very special for me”, explains the Japanese.   Team mate Niki Leutwiler was satisfied with the result as well. “What a great season opener for a team with a completely new line-up, taking up the challenge on an unknown circuit”, so Leutwiler. The top performance of the Swiss was an essential part of the victory at the opener of the Asian Le Mans Series.2015-10-12-raceperformance-2   The whole team felt a great relief after the chequered flag was out. “The hard work of preparation during past weeks paid off“, explained chef technician Urs Meier, and team manager Michel Frey added: “Together with the complete squad I am really proud and happy about the success. A great thank you to all who made this success possible.”   The next round of the Asian Le Mans Series takes place on the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia on November, 7th..
