MP Motorsport lines up Patrick Schott for NEZ and Spanish F4

Patrick Schott from Switzerland has been signed by MP Motorsport to race in this season’s Northern European Zone and Spanish Formula 4 championships. Schott moves up from karting to join the Dutch team for his first season in motor racing.

Schott mostly competed in Swiss national karting before stepping up for his motorsport debut in 2018. The Swiss youngster joins Isaac Blomqvist in the Dutch squad, the Swede having already agreed terms with MP in February.

« I am very pleased to compete the 2018 season in a team as experienced and victorious as MP Motorsport », said Schott. « It’s a championship-winning team in Formula 4 that will allow me to best display my skllls. »

« Klausen Racing is happy to promote and manage Patrick’s career with the goal of bringing him to the pinnacle of Swiss motorsport », said his manager François Frigola.

« I would like to welcome Patrick to our 2018 Formula 4 team », said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team manager. « He has shown promising speed in his karting career, and we would like to mould his talent into a successful career in single-seaters. I’m sure he will work well with Isaac. We look very much forward to working with the two of them. »

Schott was vice-champion in the 2015 Swiss karting championship after finishing third in the country’s KF3 championship in 2014. He also made several appearances in the WSK Euroseries and the Italian championship. Schott tested in Formula Renault 2.0 before deciding to make his single-seater debut in Formula 4.
