The Total 24 Hours of Spa is much more than just an endurance race. The event is a weekend-long celebration that includes entertainment to suit all tastes. Motorsport is at the heart of the festivities, but the noise is not restricted to GT3 engines roaring through the Belgian Ardennes.
As ever, music will be a key part of what makes Spa such a unique experience. The party gets underway at 18.30, two hours into the race, when The Planes take the stage to move the crowd through the gears.
The acclaimed Belgian covers band bring a diverse set-list that spans the 1960s through to the modern day, ranging from The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, U2, Depeche Mode to Kings of Leon.
Known for their ability to get an audience dancing with infections tunes, the group is sure to set pulses racing.
As the sun goes down the atmosphere grows and the DJ sets get underway, with Simon Le Saint beginning proceedings at 20.30. He will be joined on-stage by a very special guest who bridges the gap between music and motorsport.
They will be followed at 22.30 by Synapson. The French duo draw upon an eclectic set of influences – including electro, deep house, hip-hop and pop – to create their own distinctive sound.
At midnight, as the race closes on one-third distance, Feder will take the stage. A popular deep-house performer, he has topped the charts in his native France and gained international success with his hit-single “Goodbye”.
The set will be headlined at 01.30 by the acclaimed Belgian electro-pop DJ Kid Noize. The Charleroi-based star is known as “the man with the monkey face” for the distinctive mask he wears when performing.
Combining commercial floor-fillers with dark underground bangers, his tracks have attracted major interest in recent years. He will take fans into the night, blending his music with the sounds of the circuit.
Admission to the concert is included in the price of a general admission ticket for the full weekend.
