Days of testing determined, testing ban modified

The Formula European Masters offers young drivers the perfect opportunity to prepare for a successful motor-racing career. In no other young-gun single-seater series, are the talents provided more track time in the nine events on the 2019 calendar. Furthermore, the young drivers also may look forward to extensive preparations for the season: three official test venues as well as the possibility to hold independent tests offer the drivers and newcomers in particular – both teams and drivers – a great opportunity to prepare for the things to come. The first official tests will be held at Misano, Italy. On 25th and 26th March, 2019, the weather conditions in Italy should be perfect for the tests. The second round of pre-season testing will be staged at the Circuit Zolder. For the German motor-racing enthusiasts, the Belgian racetrack represents a particularly tradition-rich and attractive motor-sport venue. The ‘Bergische Löwe’ once was an acclaimed DTM event that always took place in front of tens of thousands of visitors on the packed grandstands. Now, on 11th April, the Formula European Masters also will travel to the Belgian circuit for the next official test meeting, followed by two more test days on 24th and 25th April at the Lausitzring. Misano, Zolder and the Lausitzring also will stage race meetings of the 2019 European Formula Masters season.   In addition to the official days of testing organised by the Formula European Masters, the teams are also allowed to hold independent tests. In the period of time up to 24th March, the number of tests isn’t limited and from 25th March, six independent days of testing are allowed per car on the entry list. By postponing the start of the testing ban to late March, the drivers and teams contesting their first Formula European Masters season are allowed to extensively and professionally prepare for the coming season. However, none of the independent pre-season tests may be held on circuits that will be the venue of a 2019 Formula European Masters race meeting.  The official days of testing:  25th to 26th March – Misano / I 11th April – Zolder / B 24th to 25th April – Lausitzring / D
