La nouvelle a pratiquement fait l\u2019effet d\u2019une bombe dans le milieu ainsi qu\u2019au sein de notre r\u00e9daction\u00a0: qui aurait attendu Hyundai, constructeur g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste et sans exp\u00e9rience dans le domaine, d\u00e9fier la concurrence qui s\u2019acharne sans r\u00e9pit dans la cat\u00e9gorie des compactes sportives\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Quelques mois apr\u00e8s son introduction, nous avons pu essayer la Hyundai i30 N. N pour Namyang, son lieu d\u2019origine, mais aussi N\u00fcrburgring, le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre circuit qu\u2019on ne pr\u00e9sente plus et qui a servi de base de mise au point \u00e0 la i30 N, avec \u00e0 son volant le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pilote Thierry Neuville. Rien que \u00e7a ! Son caract\u00e8re est alors assez proche de celui d\u2019une <a href=\"https:\/\/sport-auto.ch\/essais\/post\/seat-leon-cupra-st\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seat Leon Cupra<\/a> en mode R ou d\u2019une <a href=\"https:\/\/sport-auto.ch\/essais\/post\/peugeot-308-gti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peugeot 308 GTI<\/a> en mode Sport. Sauf que notre cor\u00e9enne cache plus d\u2019un tour dans son sac. Une fois le mode N activ\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9chappement \u00e0 clapet l\u00e2che alors toutes les vocalises du moteur et me gratifie de g\u00e9n\u00e9reuses p\u00e9tarades \u00e0 chaque changement de rapport\u00a0! Exag\u00e9r\u00e9, mais tellement addictif\u00a0! Dans ce sens, le mode Custom est parfait car il permet de param\u00e9trer enti\u00e8rement la voiture\u00a0: gestion moteur, alignement des r\u00e9gimes, diff\u00e9rentiel, \u00e9chappement, suspensions, direction et ESP. Les r\u00e9glages Sport+ sont ceux du mode N. Pour la conduite sportive sur route, je r\u00e8glerai les suspensions sur Sport et l\u2019ESP sur Sport \u00e9galement, et laisserai tout le reste sur Sport+. Mais les possibilit\u00e9s sont nombreuses\u00a0: supposez par exemple que vous souhaitiez b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier du son de l\u2019\u00e9chappement mais sans les p\u00e9tarades\u00a0: c\u2019est possible, en param\u00e9trant la gestion moteur sur Sport au lieu de Sport+. Comme quoi, l\u2019habit ne fait pas n\u00e9cessairement le moine\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, quel que soit le mode de conduite s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9, deux boutons permettent d\u2019activer\/d\u00e9sactiver directement l\u2019ESP ainsi que l\u2019alignement des r\u00e9gimes (rev-match) lors des passages aux rapports inf\u00e9rieurs.
