Le groupe FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) a le vent en poupe en Suisse. Ses ventes ont en effet beaucoup progress\u00e9 en 2017, \u00e0 commencer par celles d\u2019Alfa Romeo. Cela gr\u00e2ce notamment au succ\u00e8s rencontr\u00e9 par ses mod\u00e8les \u00e0 quatre roues motrices que nous avons pu essayer en Engadine lors du \u00abSnow Training 2018\u00bb, un camp d\u2019entra\u00eenement de conduite sur neige organis\u00e9 \u00e0 Samedan, \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de St-Moritz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quelques chiffres valent mieux qu\u2019un long discours : en 2017, Alfa Romeo a vu ses ventes augmenter de 117% en Suisse ! La marque italienne y a en effet \u00e9coul\u00e9 3\u2019288 voitures neuves contre 1\u2019509 en 2016. Le principal artisan de cette progression n\u2019est autre que le Stelvio dont nous avons pu essayer en premi\u00e8re suisse la version Quadrifoglio qui est propuls\u00e9e par un moteur V6 2,9L bi-turbo de 510 ch d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 \u00e0 partir des technologies et du savoir-faire de Ferrari.<\/p>\n

\nL\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e, FCA a en effet commercialis\u00e9 en Suisse 1\u2019248 Stelvio, ce qui en fait l\u2019Alfa Romeo la plus vendue dans notre pays devant la Giulia, dont les ventes sont pass\u00e9es de 475 unit\u00e9s en 2016 \u00e0 1\u2019156 en 2017. \u00ab Ces excellents r\u00e9sultats devraient se poursuivre en 2018 \u00bb, nous a expliqu\u00e9 Serenella Artioli De Feo, directrice des relations publiques de FCA Switzerland. \u00ab Notre but est de confirmer les ventes r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par la Giulia<\/a> alors que celles du Stelvio devraient progresser, notamment en raison de l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du Stelvio Quadrifoglio qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 enregistr\u00e9 beaucoup de commandes et qui a suscit\u00e9 un tr\u00e8s grand int\u00e9r\u00eat. En Suisse, 20% des Stelvio vendus en 2018 devraient \u00eatre des versions Quadrifoglio. \u00bb<\/p>\n

En tout cas, on ne peut qu\u2019envier les futurs propri\u00e9taires du Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Si le Stelvio de 280 ch nous avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 laiss\u00e9 une tr\u00e8s bonne impression l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pass\u00e9 au col du Stelvio<\/a>, la prise en main du Stelvio Quadrifoglio, sur la piste enneig\u00e9e de Samedan, nous a enthousiasm\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

En mode Race, le Stelvio Quadrifoglio distille en effet des vocalises qui vous donnent l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre au volant d\u2019une v\u00e9ritable voiture de course. Sa grande facilit\u00e9 de conduite \u2013 la faire drifter avec efficacit\u00e9 est un v\u00e9ritable jeu d\u2019enfant \u2013 et ses acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations prodigieuses \u2013 il abat le 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en \u00e0 peine 3,4 secondes selon Alfa Romeo \u2013 nous ont permis de laisser facilement sur place les diff\u00e9rents contradicteurs auxquels nous \u00e9tions oppos\u00e9s lors de l\u2019exercice du slalom parall\u00e8le sur neige, un des points culminants de ce Snow Training de Samedan.<\/p>\n

Parmi ces contradicteurs figuraient deux Stelvio de 280 ch et une Giulia Veloce Q4 de 280 ch<\/a> dont nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 vent\u00e9 les m\u00e9rites lors de notre essai<\/a> publi\u00e9 au mois de novembre.<\/p>\n

Dans le slalom parall\u00e8le, le Stelvio Quadrifoglio avait \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 oppos\u00e9 au Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT de 468 ch qui, selon la documentation de presse de FCA, \u00ab allie un \u00e9quipement de luxe et \u00e0 une sportivit\u00e9 maximale qui lui permet d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en moins de 5 secondes \u00bb. A son volant, nous avons beaucoup appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 le couple gargantuesque, la musique sauvage du V8 et une capacit\u00e9 insoup\u00e7onn\u00e9e \u00e0 conf\u00e9rer beaucoup de plaisir dans des glissades longues comme un jour sans pain !<\/p>\n

Il para\u00eet que Fernando Alonso s\u2019est beaucoup amus\u00e9 \u00e0 son volant lorsqu\u2019il courait chez Ferrari et que cette Jeep survitamin\u00e9e \u00e0 la sauce SRT faisait partie de ses voitures pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es en hiver. On remarquera en passant que la marque Jeep se trouve elle aussi sur une courbe ascendante en Suisse. Ses ventes y ont en effet progress\u00e9 de 5,8% en passant de 3\u2019269 unit\u00e9s en 2016 \u00e0 3\u2019458 en 2017.<\/p>\n

Fiat a fait encore mieux \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019elle a vu ses ventes augmenter de 16,3%. Elles ont ainsi progress\u00e9 de 7\u2019771 \u00e0 9\u2019040 unit\u00e9s. Ici aussi, la marque italienne est en mesure de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la tr\u00e8s forte demande de la client\u00e8le suisse pour les voitures \u00e0 quatre roues motrices. Cela n\u2019est pas seulement le cas de la Fiat Panda Cross mais \u00e9galement de la Fiat 500X Cross, une petite bombinette de 170 ch qui a ravi \u00e0 Samedan l\u2019ancienne Miss Suisse Dominique Rinderknecht.<\/p>\n

Non seulement celles sur les lois physiques qui r\u00e9gissent le comportement d\u2019une voiture sur une chauss\u00e9e enneig\u00e9e, mais \u00e9galement celles permettant de d\u00e9connecter les diff\u00e9rentes aides \u00e0 la conduite afin de drifter en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sur un terrain de jeu aussi fantastique que peut l\u2019\u00eatre celui de 60’000 m2 am\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 Samedan.<\/p>\n

Les responsables de FCA Switzerland ont par ailleurs rappel\u00e9 que \u00ab toute la gamme de la Fiat 500X est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par un \u00e9quipement de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 complet \u00bb. Chaque variante de ce mod\u00e8le dispose de s\u00e9rie des \u00e9quipements suivants : six airbags, feux de jour, direction assist\u00e9e \u00e9lectrique \u00ab dualdrive \u00bb et contr\u00f4le \u00e9lectronique de stabilit\u00e9 ESP.<\/p>\n

Un \u00e9quipement complet, c\u2019est \u00e9galement ce qui caract\u00e9rise la nouvelle Abarth 124 Spider, \u00e9volution plus sportive de la Fiat 124 Spider<\/a>. L\u2019arriv\u00e9e en 2017 de ce nouveau mod\u00e8le n\u2019est pas \u00e9trang\u00e8re \u00e0 la progression de 34,7% enregistr\u00e9e en Suisse par la marque au scorpion dont les ventes sont pass\u00e9es de 870 unit\u00e9s en 2016 \u00e0 1\u2019172 en 2017. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir \u00e0 drifter au volant de l\u2019Abarth 124 Spider \u00e0 Samedan. Un plaisir partag\u00e9 par l\u2019ancien pilote de F1 Arturo Merzario (lire ici<\/a> l’article que nous lui avons consacr\u00e9), pr\u00e9sent en Engadine en tant qu\u2019ambassadeur du groupe FCA.<\/p>\n

\nOn rel\u00e8vera enfin pour conclure que si les diff\u00e9rentes comp\u00e9titions de slalom parall\u00e8le et les exercices de drift se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s sur le terrain de 60’000m2 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9voqu\u00e9s \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019a\u00e9rodrome de St-Moritz \u00e0 Samedan, les ateliers de conduite pour les v\u00e9hicules tout-terrain ont eu lieu pr\u00e8s de Pontresina, dans la gravi\u00e8re de Montebello o\u00f9 nous avions d\u00e9j\u00e0 essay\u00e9 par le pass\u00e9 les nouveaux Porsche Cayenne.<\/p>\n

Cette fois-ci, nous y avons particuli\u00e8rement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 les diff\u00e9rents dispositifs d\u2019aide \u00e0 la conduite, \u00e0 commencer par le Hill Descent Control (aide \u00e0 la descente en pente) qui \u00e9quipe de s\u00e9rie les mod\u00e8les Jeep Cherokee et Jeep Wrangler.<\/p>\n

\nNous avons \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 enthousiasm\u00e9s par les capacit\u00e9s de franchissement des diff\u00e9rents mod\u00e8les, \u00e0 commencer par la Jeep Wrangler. A un tel point que lorsque le photographe officiel a demand\u00e9 s\u2019il y avait un volontaire qui souhaitait refaire une mont\u00e9e au volant de la Wrangler rouge pour une nouvelle s\u00e9rie de clich\u00e9s, nous nous sommes imm\u00e9diatement port\u00e9s volontaires. La Jeep Wrangler gravit avec une facilit\u00e9 d\u00e9concertante des pentes enneig\u00e9es presque aussi impressionnantes que la progression des ventes enregistr\u00e9e l\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e en Suisse par Alfa Romeo !<\/p>\n
