\nAfin de d\u00e9couvrir le mod\u00e8le 2018 de la Ghibli, Sport-Auto.ch a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 Monaco. Partenaire du Yacht Club, c’est tout naturellement dans cet \u00e9crin de luxe que le constructeur au trident nous a re\u00e7us. Dans un premier temps sur le \u201cponton\u201d, o\u00f9 deux mod\u00e8les pr\u00e9sentaient leurs \u00e9volutions stylistiques, avant d\u2019assister \u00e0 la conf\u00e9rence de presse.<\/p>\n

La principale nouveaut\u00e9 est l\u2019apparition de deux finitions distinctes qui viennent compl\u00e9ter l\u2019offre de base\u00a0: Granlusso et Gransport. On peut les diff\u00e9rencier par leurs pare-chocs et calandres sp\u00e9cifiques. Comme leurs noms l’indiquent, la premi\u00e8re met l\u2019accent sur le luxe avec des finitions qui font la part belle aux chromes et des mat\u00e9riaux in\u00e9dits pour l’int\u00e9rieur tels que la soie. La deuxi\u00e8me a des formes plus agressives, un ch\u00e2ssis sport, des jantes en 20 pouces au lieu de 19, des si\u00e8ges avec appuie-t\u00eate int\u00e9gr\u00e9 et des pinces de freins peintes en rouge. Ces deux finitions b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de s\u00e9rie du syst\u00e8me de fermeture de porte silencieux baptis\u00e9 Soft Close.<\/p>\n

Les performances indiqu\u00e9es ci-apr\u00e8s correspondent \u00e0 la motorisation essence SQ4, fer de lance de la gamme :<\/p>\n

Si le mod\u00e8le de base est \u00e9quip\u00e9 de phares x\u00e9non, les deux autres finitions inaugurent l’arriv\u00e9e de phares Led Matrix du constructeur italien Magneti Marelli. Cette technologie adapte la puissance et le faisceau d’\u00e9clairage en fonction des conditions de circulation. Faible puissance lors des d\u00e9placements \u00e0 vitesse mod\u00e9r\u00e9e afin d’\u00e9conomiser du carburant, faisceau contournant les autres v\u00e9hicules quand la puissance d’\u00e9clairage devient plus importante.<\/p>\n

Autre premi\u00e8re pour la Ghibli, la direction a troqu\u00e9 son assistance hydraulique pour un syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectrique. Maserati a effectu\u00e9 un grand travail pour que le ressenti au volant soit le meilleur possible. Le passage \u00e0 la direction \u00e9lectrique ne s’est pas fait par hasard : elle permet de proposer en option l’Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (CHF 2’300.-). On y reviendra.<\/p>\n

Niveau motorisation, trois V6 3.0L bi-turbo sont disponibles. Soit en diesel avec une puissance de 275 ch soit en essence avec 350 ou 430 ch pour les mod\u00e8le S et SQ4, soit 20 de plus que l’ancien mill\u00e9sime. Seule cette derni\u00e8re motorisation, assembl\u00e9e dans les ateliers Ferrari, est disponible en 2 ou 4 roues motrices, les autres n’\u00e9tant disponibles qu’en propulsion. Toutes sont \u00e9quip\u00e9es de la bo\u00eete automatique ZF \u00e0 8 rapports. A noter qu’une version Diesel 250ch est disponible pour le seul march\u00e9 italien, de fortes taxes \u00e9tant per\u00e7ues \u00e0 partir de cette puissance.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s la conf\u00e9rence, direction le restaurant Vistamar pour le repas. Entre autres voisins de tabl\u00e9e, Quentin Amore, Senior Designer. Celui-ci m\u2019explique en grande ligne le processus de validation pour les nouveaux mod\u00e8les, les nouvelles pi\u00e8ces et la n\u00e9gociation entre designer et ing\u00e9nieur. Pour exemple, au sujet du radar qui se trouve dans la calandre, c\u2019est tout naturellement en forme de trident qu’il a vu le jour. Avec son cuir noir a surpiq\u00fbres rouges et ses superbes applications carbone, ne sommes-nous pas dans un mod\u00e8le GranSport ? Les multiples r\u00e9glages du si\u00e8ge, du volant et du p\u00e9dalier (!) permettent de trouver la position de conduite id\u00e9ale. Lorsqu’on coupe le contact, le si\u00e8ge se recule et le volant s’avance pour s\u2019en extraire plus facilement. L’\u00e9cran tactile int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au tableau de bord peut \u00eatre command\u00e9 avec la molette pr\u00e9sente sur la console centrale. Comme sur la Maserati Levante<\/a>, la climatisation peut \u00eatre r\u00e9gl\u00e9e \u00e0 choix par l’\u00e9cran, ou les boutons pr\u00e9sents en-dessous. Pour nous donner les conseils et instructions de conduite, nous pouvons compter sur Alex Fiorio. Les amateurs de rallye se souviendront peut-\u00eatre de lui. En plus de quelques podiums en WRC, son palmar\u00e8s comporte un titre de champion du monde des Rallyes de voiture de Production en 1987, sur une Lancia Delta HF. Les vitesses se passeront soit avec les larges palettes, soit via shifter. Pression sur le bouton de d\u00e9marrage dispos\u00e9 \u00e0 gauche du volant, et le V6 3.0L bi-turbo prend vie, et le GPS d\u00e9j\u00e0 configur\u00e9 (CHF 1’918.-) nous fait suivre la direction de Nice. Les nombreux tunnels de la principaut\u00e9 permettent d\u2019appr\u00e9cier la sonorit\u00e9 si ch\u00e8re \u00e0 Maserati, surtout en mode Sport, clapets d’\u00e9chappement ouverts. A chaque tunnel, je me sens le besoin d\u2019ouvrir les fen\u00eatres, est-ce grave docteur\u00a0? Le fait de tomber un rapport pour monter le volume de la m\u00e9lodie distill\u00e9e par les quatre \u00e9chappements fait aussi partie des sympt\u00f4mes…<\/p>\n

La portion d\u2019autoroute que nous empruntons me permet de tester les diff\u00e9rentes assistances (ADAS), dont le Higway Assist (HAS). Un capteur surveille la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une main sur le volant, et si cette condition est remplie, la Ghibli suit parfaitement sa voie de circulation, tout en maintenant la distance par rapport au v\u00e9hicule pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent et freine en cas de besoin. Le d\u00e9tecteur d\u2019angle mort est devenu actif. En plus du t\u00e9moin lumineux dans le r\u00e9troviseur qui \u00e9quipait d\u00e9j\u00e0 le mod\u00e8le 2017, une vibration et une correction du volant se font sentir si l\u2019on enclenche le clignotant. La reconnaissance des panneaux a aussi fait son apparition.<\/p>\n

Nous obliquons en direction des routes du Rallye Monte-Carlo, dans la r\u00e9gion de Grasse, pour jauger le comportement dynamique. Malgr\u00e9 les pr\u00e8s de 1\u2019800 kg de la b\u00eate, je suis agr\u00e9ablement surpris. Le comportement sur ces routes sinueuses est excellent, juste g\u00e2ch\u00e9 par le fait que cette voiture est \u00e9quip\u00e9e de pneus d\u2019hiver, qui montrent vite leurs limites. Elle prend peu de roulis, et les freins ont un excellent mordant, faisant travailler l’ABS sur les freinages appuy\u00e9s. Ils sont constitu\u00e9s d’\u00e9triers fixes Brembo \u00e0 6 pistons pour l’avant et 4 pistons pour l’arri\u00e8re, entourant des disques de 360 et 345 mm. La direction est pr\u00e9cise mais juste un peu trop assist\u00e9e \u00e0 mon go\u00fbt.<\/p>\n

Niveau transmission, c’est un sans-faute. La bo\u00eete est agr\u00e9ablement \u00e9tag\u00e9e, et les passages de rapports tr\u00e8s rapides. La r\u00e9partition du couple entre 100% \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 50\/50, est un excellent compromis entre dynamisme et s\u00e9curit\u00e9. La motricit\u00e9 n’a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 prise en d\u00e9faut. Avec son pont arri\u00e8re autobloquant, je regrette de ne pas avoir pu l’essayer sur route enneig\u00e9e ou sur circuit. Seul le passage de la marche arri\u00e8re m’a pos\u00e9 probl\u00e8me, le s\u00e9lecteur \u00e0 impulsions n’\u00e9tant pas facile \u00e0 cerner. Question d\u2019habitude.<\/p>\n

Nous devons bient\u00f4t arriver au point de rencontre pour le caf\u00e9 et \u00e9changer les v\u00e9hicules. Le road book ayant pris place dans le coffre, je m’en remets enti\u00e8rement au GPS. Malheureusement, ou pas, j’ai d\u00fb louper une bifurcation et le GPS me fait continuer mon chemin pour rejoindre l’\u00e9tape suivante, bien loin du point de rencontre. Apr\u00e8s avoir regard\u00e9 la carte, je me rends compte de mon erreur. Apr\u00e8s avoir mis les gaz dans cette superbe mont\u00e9e de la route de Napol\u00e9on, il va carr\u00e9ment falloir remonter le temps \u00e0 la descente pour \u00eatre \u00e0 l’heure. Je peux donc vous affirmer que l’endurance des freins est excellente. Et ce n’est pas Craig, mon photographe-vid\u00e9aste, qui va me contredire. <\/p>\n

Pour la suite de la journ\u00e9e, c’est une Ghibli GranSport bordeaux qui est au programme. Des 430 ch du moteur essence, je vais devoir me contenter des 275 ch de sa s\u0153ur gav\u00e9e au diesel. Pour confirmer les configurations anachroniques, cette GranSport est dot\u00e9e d’un int\u00e9rieur beige et de plaquage en bois… La couleur claire de l’int\u00e9rieur fait ressortir la pi\u00e8tre qualit\u00e9 distill\u00e9e par les plastiques des bas de montants de porte. L’int\u00e9gration du syst\u00e8me Isofix sur la banquette arri\u00e8re n’est pas non plus une r\u00e9ussite.<\/p>\n

Niveau agr\u00e9ment de conduite, les 600 Nm de couple font des merveilles. Fini le sport, l\u00e0 il faut se la jouer chauffeur priv\u00e9. Le son du moteur se fait assez discret. En s\u00e9lectionnant le mode sport, des haut-parleurs int\u00e9gr\u00e9s \u00e0 l’\u00e9chappement distillent un son de V8. On pourrait presque y croire, mais \u00e7a devient vite p\u00e9nible. Je vais donc plut\u00f4t compter sur la sonorisation assur\u00e9e par les 17 haut-parleurs Bowers&Wilkins (CHF 2’502.-) pour agr\u00e9menter le chemin du retour sur Monaco, durant lequel nous tournerons ce petit film :<\/p>\n
