Parti de Zurich, j\u2019opte pour un itin\u00e9raire via Schaffhouse dans l\u2019espoir de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un minimum de circulation sur les tron\u00e7ons autoroutiers allemands non soumis \u00e0 une limitation de vitesse. Dans les sempiternels embouteillages entre les bords de la Limmat et la fronti\u00e8re allemande, je prends le temps de d\u00e9couvrir ce bolide, dont la prise en main est plut\u00f4t ais\u00e9e. Mon second road trip me conduira du Valais au Tessin via le Col du Nufenen. Un itin\u00e9raire id\u00e9al pour juger la \u00ab muscle-car \u00bb am\u00e9ricaine sur des routes bien de chez nous. Pour cette vir\u00e9e, je serai accompagn\u00e9 et Madame ne sera ni limit\u00e9e en bagages, ni priv\u00e9e de shopping. La Corvette est un v\u00e9hicule d\u2019escapade. En effet, avec 171 litres, le coffre est plut\u00f4t g\u00e9n\u00e9reux pour la cat\u00e9gorie et je ne rencontre aucune difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 ranger les valises, mon mat\u00e9riel photo… et m\u00eame les futurs achats de mon \u00e9pouse ! Quant \u00e0 la capote en toile, il est possible de l\u2019actionner jusqu\u2019\u00e0 50 km\/h, ce qui est plut\u00f4t pratique.<\/p>\n C\u2019est sur les longues courbes de la Vall\u00e9e de Conches que les choses s\u00e9rieuses commencent. Je coupe la musique pour \u00e9couter le moteur dans les vigoureuses relances. Je ne me lasse pas du chant harmonieux du V8 atmosph\u00e9rique. \u00c7a pousse si fort qu\u2019il est impossible de rester plus de quelques secondes le pied au plancher sans friser la correctionnelle. Le potentiel aper\u00e7u sur autoroute est d\u00e9cupl\u00e9, avec une stabilit\u00e9 en courbe presque ind\u00e9cente. Rien \u00e0 dire sur le moteur, et encore moins sur le ch\u00e2ssis, qui semble coller \u00e0 la route tout en gommant ses imperfections. La Grand Sport se montre \u00e9tonnamment agile, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une direction tr\u00e8s r\u00e9active. Certes, dans cette situation extr\u00eame, la bo\u00eete automatique \u00e0 8 rapports avec palettes au volant montre ses limites. Ce n\u2019est pas une PDK, mais on a d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu pire.
