Bentley a fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 un design ext\u00e9rieur muscl\u00e9 sur une carrosserie \u00e0 la fois rigide et l\u00e9g\u00e8re. Ses lignes plus sculpturales et aff\u00fbt\u00e9es s&#8217;inspirent largement de l&#8217;EXP-10 Speed\u00a06, le concept-car Bentley acclam\u00e9 par la critique. Toutefois, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la ligne <em>Bentley signature<\/em> s&#8217;\u00e9tirant des phares aux flancs arri\u00e8re, les courbes embl\u00e9matiques de la Continental originale restent pr\u00e9dominantes. \u00c0 l&#8217;inverse, l&#8217;arri\u00e8re du v\u00e9hicule conna\u00eet un changement de style radical. Sa configuration unique en W signifie qu&#8217;il est 24% plus court qu&#8217;un V12 \u00e9quivalent, pour une meilleure r\u00e9partition du poids et un plus grand espace d&#8217;habitacle disponible. Il est pour la premi\u00e8re fois coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 une transmission huit rapports \u00e0 double embrayage d\u00e9livrant des changements de vitesses plus rapides et efficaces. Avec 635ch et 900Nm de couple, la nouvelle Continental\u00a0GT passe de 0 \u00e0 100km\/h en 3,7\u00a0secondes pour une vitesse de pointe de plus de 333km\/h. La vitesse de pointe est atteinte dans le sixi\u00e8me rapport, les septi\u00e8me et huiti\u00e8me \u00e9tant surmultipli\u00e9s pour d\u00e9livrer un v\u00e9ritable agr\u00e9ment de conduite en vitesse de croisi\u00e8re. Le syst\u00e8me de cylindr\u00e9e variable Bentley d\u00e9sactive la moiti\u00e9 des cylindres dans certaines conditions. Le v\u00e9hicule utilise \u00e0 100% la propulsion en conditions de conduite normales, pour une efficience et un dynamisme supr\u00eames. Mais si le besoin s&#8217;en fait sentir, selon la situation et le comportement du conducteur, le syst\u00e8me transmet une partie du couple vers l&#8217;avant.
