Propuls\u00e9e par le trois cylindres 898 cm3 TCe turbo de 110 ch, la Twingo GT b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de nouvelles suspensions et d\u2019un travail particulier sur les r\u00e9glages du contr\u00f4le dynamique et de trajectoire. C\u00f4t\u00e9 design, la petite citadine vitamin\u00e9e est tout droit inspir\u00e9e du concept-car Twin\u2019Run, avec ses jantes sp\u00e9cifiques 17 pouces, son \u00e9cope d\u2019air lat\u00e9rale \u00e0 gauche, et son diffuseur du bouclier arri\u00e8re int\u00e9grant sa double sortie d\u2019\u00e9chappement. Et sous le capot avant, il y a quoi ? Renault n\u2019a pas souhait\u00e9 reprendre la teinte bleue qui orne habituellement les mod\u00e8les GT de la marque, mais lui offrir une teinte sp\u00e9ciale Orange Piment. Le stripping NACA (en option), est un autre clin d\u2019\u0153il au concept Twin\u2019Run. Au premier coup d\u2019\u0153il, l\u2019int\u00e9rieur appara\u00eet tout aussi sp\u00e9cial et soign\u00e9, avec ses rappels en Orange GT. A l\u2019arri\u00e8re, 2 places, mais plut\u00f4t pour petits gabarits. Comme promis sur le papier, le volant tourne \u00e0 45 degr\u00e9s et le rayon de braquage est r\u00e9duit \u00e0 4,3 m, un record ! Voil\u00e0 sans conteste l\u2019un des points forts de la petite Renault. A faible allure d\u00e9j\u00e0, les acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations sont toniques. Apr\u00e8s quelques centaines de m\u00e8tres dans les bouchons, nous voil\u00e0 face \u00e0 l\u2019autoroute\u2026 Orange, vert : c\u2019est \u00e0 nous, titine ! Le\u00a0 gabarit, l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration franche et la fermet\u00e9 du ch\u00e2ssis de la Twingo GT me permettent de m\u2019int\u00e9grer sans aucun souci dans le trafic p\u00e9riurbain. La direction \u00e0 d\u00e9multiplication variable offre r\u00e9activit\u00e9 et pr\u00e9cision. Tr\u00e8s peu de mouvements de caisse aussi. Renault annonce des suspensions plus fermes de 40% tant \u00e0 l\u2019avant qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re ainsi qu\u2019un rabaissement de 20 mm par rapport au mod\u00e8le de base. La GT b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e9galement d\u2019une barre anti-roulis sp\u00e9cifique. Si en ville ma Twingo GT s\u2019\u00e9tait r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e tr\u00e8s vivace, gr\u00e2ce aux trois premiers rapports courts, cela se g\u00e2te avec les rapports sup\u00e9rieurs, nettement plus longs. Un manque de souplesse qui entra\u00eene des chutes de r\u00e9gime moteur, un peu \u00ab creux \u00bb entre le 4\u00e8me et le 5\u00e8me rapport. Mais n\u2019oublions pas que nous avons affaire \u00e0 un modeste 898 cm3. Quant \u00e0 l\u2019ESP, il n\u2019est pas d\u00e9connectable et de ce fait, n\u2019autorise pas de fantaisie : il ram\u00e8ne le train arri\u00e8re illico dans le droit chemin lorsque l\u2019on provoque un peu la b\u00eate. On remarque m\u00eame une l\u00e9g\u00e8re tendance au sous-virage, un peu d\u00e9concertant pour une propulsion mais finalement assez logique compte tenu du faible poids sur l\u2019essieu avant. Si, dans ces conditions, la caisse montre \u00e9galement une tendance \u00e0 flotter dans les encha\u00eenements de virages, le comportement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral demeure globalement tr\u00e8s sain. On reconna\u00eet bien la patte \u00ab Renault Sport \u00bb au niveau du ch\u00e2ssis. Nous disposons d\u2019un rapport poids\/puissance de 8.5 kg\/ch et le 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en moins de dix secondes.<\/p>\n<p>Niveau consommation, le contrat est rempli, mais \u00e0 condition de rouler \u00ab eco \u00bb : sur un trajet mixant routes principales et autoroute, en prenant soin de rouler de mani\u00e8re douce, ma Twingo GT n\u2019a eu besoin que 4.8 l\/100km. Par contre, en conduite sportive ou sur des trajets exigeants (comprenant la mont\u00e9e du \u00ab toboggan \u00bb de l\u2019A12, entre Vevey et Ch\u00e2tel-St-Denis par exemple), il faut compter entre 8 et 8.5 l\/100km. Ce qui fait aussi grimper son tarif \u00e0 CHF 25&#8217;100.-. La Fiat 500 Riva 0.9 TwinAir (d\u00e8s CHF 22&#8217;500.-), dot\u00e9e d\u2019un moteur bicylindre de 875 cm3 d\u00e9veloppant 105 ch, demeure dans l\u2019esprit \u00ab Topolino \u00bb, avec des performances \u00e9galement plus modestes (0 \u00e0 100 km\/h : 10 sec). Enfin, l\u2019Opel Adam 1.0 EcoFlex turbo de 115 ch est disponible d\u00e8s CHF 20&#8217;450.- mais en trois portes seulement.<\/p>\n<p>Tant au niveau des performances que du prix (d\u00e8s CHF 19&#8217;900.-), la Renault Twingo GT est donc tout \u00e0 fait concurrentielle dans le segment.
