Station 32, Jalhay, Belgique. Une grande demeure entour\u00e9e d\u2019un parc o\u00f9 le gazon me rappelle plus celui d\u2019un green de golf que celui de mon jardin familial. C\u2019est l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 je dois retirer mon accr\u00e9ditation qui va me permettre d\u2019assister aux 24 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps, \u00e9preuve reine du championnat Blancpain GT Series. Le d\u00e9cor est plant\u00e9. Et les centaines d\u2019insectes qui ont fleuri sur le bouclier au fil des 700 km nous s\u00e9parant de Gen\u00e8ve ne repousseront pas les spotteurs qui accourent pour immortaliser la Honda NSX, cette supercar hybride dont tout le monde parle, mais que personne ne semble encore avoir vue sur la route. Tous les regards sont braqu\u00e9s sur moi, sur nous, de l\u2019entr\u00e9e du parc \u00e0 la v\u00e9randa o\u00f9 chacun retire son pr\u00e9cieux s\u00e9same.<\/p>\n

Une heure apr\u00e8s, j\u2019arrive au circuit de Spa-Francorchamps en compagnie des cinq autres journalistes suisses qui ont fait le d\u00e9placement afin d\u2019assister \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sentation de la Honda NSX GT3<\/a>, le mod\u00e8le pr\u00e9par\u00e9 par JAS Motorsport pour la comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n

Mais revenons au mod\u00e8le de route. Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e au Salon international de l\u2019automobile de Gen\u00e8ve en 2015, il aura fallu attendre plus de deux ans avant de voir la premi\u00e8re Honda NSX immatricul\u00e9e en Suisse \u2013 dans sa superbe teinte rouge valencia\u00a0 \u2013 quelques jours seulement avant notre d\u00e9part pour la Belgique. Celle qui nous a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9e (\u00e0 mon confr\u00e8re et moi-m\u00eame) est une voiture immatricul\u00e9e en Allemagne qui a parcouru 28\u2019000 km d\u2019essai et qui porte le num\u00e9ro #0000 : la premi\u00e8re ! Ou du moins, une des premi\u00e8res, \u00e0 supposer qu\u2019il y ait eu plusieurs exemplaires de pr\u00e9s\u00e9rie. La troisi\u00e8me voiture de ce convoi hom\u00e9rique ? Une Honda Civic Type R FK8<\/a>. Il y a pire comme voiture de deuxi\u00e8me choix\u00a0! Cette fois, le d\u00e9cor est vraiment plant\u00e9, entrons dans le vif du sujet.<\/p>\n

Evidemment, nous n\u2019allions pas prendre le chemin le plus court \u2013 par la France \u2013 pour nous rendre \u00e0 Spa-Francorchamps. Et m\u00eame si la Civic Type R<\/a>, dont je salue encore une fois la tr\u00e8s grande stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 hautes vitesses, se d\u00e9barrasse de bien des sportives, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de l\u2019Autobahn illimit\u00e9e prend une toute autre dimension \u00e0 bord de la NSX. Les 581 ch des quatre moteurs (1 moteur thermique V6 3.5L bi-turbo de 507 ch compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par 3 moteurs \u00e9lectriques) ne demandent alors qu\u2019\u00e0 avoir le champ libre pour faire la d\u00e9monstration ! J\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 rapidement s\u00e9duit par la symphonie distill\u00e9e par ce fabuleux V6 qui, aid\u00e9 par ses comp\u00e8res \u00ab\u00e9colo\u00bb, se veut \u00e0 la fois d\u2019une souplesse et d\u2019une r\u00e9activit\u00e9 rares pour un moteur suraliment\u00e9. Et la bo\u00eete s\u00e9quentielle \u00e0 double embrayage \u00e0 9 rapports, rapide et parfaitement \u00e9tag\u00e9e, participe \u00e0 cet agr\u00e9ment de conduite hors pair. Je lui reprocherai juste de refuser de r\u00e9trograder sur le premier rapport en roulant, m\u00eame \u00e0 tr\u00e8s faibles vitesses\u2026 Mais vu que le couple maximum cumul\u00e9 de 646 Nm arrive d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e8s 2\u2019000 trs\/min \u2013 et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 6\u2019000 trs\/min ! \u2013 on aurait tort de lui en tenir rigueur. Les moteurs \u00e9lectriques offrant leur couple nominal d\u00e8s 0trs\/min \u00e0 l’avant et 500 trs\/min \u00e0 l’arri\u00e8re, le qualificatif de \u00abplein partout\u00bb colle parfaitement \u00e0 l’agr\u00e9ment g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la NSX ! Il en r\u00e9sulte des mont\u00e9es en r\u00e9gime franches quel que soit le r\u00e9gime de d\u00e9part, que certains jugeront peut-\u00eatre trop lin\u00e9aires, jusqu’\u00e0 la zone rouge plac\u00e9e \u00e0 7’500 trs\/min.<\/p>\n

Outre de nombreuses pointes de vitesse jusqu\u2019\u00e0 280 km\/h, l\u2019Autobahn nous a permis de tester efficacement l\u2019endurance du freinage carbone-c\u00e9ramique, une option \u00e0 CHF 12’000.-. Mais pas seulement, car les autoroutes allemandes, visiblement en panique d\u2019assainissement, sont truff\u00e9es de travaux engendrant des ralentissements. Et c\u2019est l\u00e0 que la Honda NSX nous montre son deuxi\u00e8me visage : non seulement ses trois moteurs \u00e9lectriques lui permettent de doper ses performances via un suppl\u00e9ment de couple de pr\u00e8s de 100Nm, mais ils lui permettent aussi d\u2019\u00e9voluer totalement en \u00e9lectrique sur de courtes distances, pour autant que la vitesse n\u2019exc\u00e8de pas 70 km\/h et que l\u2019on soit tr\u00e8s doux avec le pied droit. En effet, il n\u2019y a pas de prise de courant afin de recharger sa batterie, celle-ci se recharge donc uniquement lors des freinages. L\u2019autonomie en \u00e9lectrique est de quelques kilom\u00e8tres tout au plus, mais quelques freinages suffiront \u00e0 recharger enti\u00e8rement, permettant \u00e0 nouveau de rouler en \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n

L\u2019habitacle de la Honda NSX ne bouleverse pas les codes \u00e9tablis\u00a0: moderne, mais pas futuriste. On y trouve donc rapidement ses marques, les fonctions courantes \u00e9tant repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es par des boutons. Equip\u00e9e de toutes les options possible, j\u2019ai choisi d\u2019immortaliser l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la voiture rouge. La sellerie cuir semi-aniline (CHF 2’900.-), qui garnit \u00e9galement les portes et le tunnel central, est d\u2019excellente facture, tout comme les touches de carbone sur le volant et le tableau de bord (CHF 3’400.- y compris p\u00e9dalier en aluminium poli). Mais malgr\u00e9 une qualit\u00e9 d\u2019assemblage de haut niveau accompagn\u00e9e d\u2019un design fluide, je regrette que les parties argent\u00e9es soient r\u00e9alis\u00e9es en plastique.<\/p>\n

De retour en Suisse pour une semaine d\u2019essai, je dois avouer que j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 convaincu par l\u2019hybridation de cette Honda NSX, qui permet, apr\u00e8s avoir tir\u00e9 sur une portion sinueuse, de traverser les villages en toute discr\u00e9tion tout en diminuant la consommation d\u2019essence. Ainsi, la consommation moyenne que j\u2019ai mesur\u00e9e sur des parcours mixtes a oscill\u00e9 entre 11 et 12.5 l\/100km, sans m\u2019\u00eatre priv\u00e9 d\u2019exploiter ses 581 canassons par moments ! Sur l\u2019autoroute, il faut tabler sur environ 8.5 l\/100km \u00e0 120 km\/h (on se situe alors \u00e0 2’000 trs\/min sur le 9\u00e8me rapport). Cependant, je n\u2019ai consomm\u00e9 que 7 l\/100km sur les derniers 23 km d\u2019un trajet autoroutier \u00e0 70 km\/h de moyenne suivi de 5 km de ville depuis la sortie d\u2019autoroute de Meyrin ! C\u2019est donc bien \u00e0 basses vitesses que l\u2019hybridation permet les meilleures \u00e9conomies.<\/p>\n

Et les performances dans tout \u00e7a\u00a0? Car \u00e9videmment, on ne choisit pas une supercar pour gagner quelques litres d\u2019essence \u00e0 la pompe\u00a0! Sur la route, la Honda NSX vous en offrira plus que ce qu\u2019il est possible de coucher sur le papier. Outre sa sonorit\u00e9\u00a0et son agr\u00e9ment moteur dont j\u2019ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 parl\u00e9, le gros avantage de la NSX sur ses rivales conventionnelles est que ses deux moteurs \u00e9lectriques plac\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019avant sont ind\u00e9pendants. S\u2019occupant chacun d\u2019une seule roue, ils agissent comme un diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 glissement limit\u00e9 \u00e0 tarage variable (vectorisation du couple). En pratique, cela se traduit par une motricit\u00e9 ahurissante, surtout dans les virages serr\u00e9s.\u00a0Ultra s\u00e9curisante, cette centrifugeuse serait presque frustrante pour celui qui voudrait la prendre en d\u00e9faut. De par son \u00e9quilibre des masses, son comportement dynamique est tr\u00e8s sain et invite \u00e0 hausser toujours plus le rythme. Mais o\u00f9 se situent les limites d\u2019adh\u00e9rence\u00a0?<\/p>\n

La direction directe et le petit volant tenant parfaitement en mains contribuent aussi au plaisir de conduite et ne n\u00e9cessitent pas de mouvements excessifs dans les \u00e9pingles. Un couple omnipr\u00e9sent et une bo\u00eete courte sur les trois premiers rapports (103 km\/h seulement \u00e0 fond de 2\u00e8me) repr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 mon sens l’id\u00e9al pour exploiter une telle cavalerie sur route ouverte. J\u2019ai donc \u00e9t\u00e9 surpris \u00e0 quel point il est possible d\u2019avoir du plaisir sur des petites routes avec une voiture de 581 ch, comme lors de cette soir\u00e9e pass\u00e9e entre amis passionn\u00e9s au col de Jaun, ou encore les quelques mont\u00e9es au col du Marchairuz. M\u00eame avec les suspensions raffermies du mode Sport+, la Honda NSX passe le test avec brio sur cette route sinueuse tr\u00e8s bossel\u00e9e, faisant totalement oublier ses 1\u2019776 kg.<\/p>\n

Terminons par une description tr\u00e8s scolaire, mais n\u00e9cessaire, des diff\u00e9rents modes de conduite. Le mode Quiet limite la puissance globale disponible, c\u2019est donc le mode \u00e9conomique de la NSX. Il permet de man\u0153uvrer en toute discr\u00e9tion, m\u00eame lorsque le moteur thermique est utilis\u00e9. Le mode Sport est le mode de conduite par d\u00e9faut. Dans le mode Sport+, le son du moteur est encore plus pr\u00e9sent tandis que la direction et les suspensions deviennent plus fermes, sans devenir inconfortables. Enfin, le mode Track, le seul\u00a0permettant les d\u00e9parts avec la fonction Launch Control, lib\u00e8re l\u2019entier de la puissance hybride cumul\u00e9e et d\u00e9sactive l\u2019antipatinage\u00a0! A noter cependant que la diff\u00e9rence d’acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration est peu perceptible par rapport au mode Sport+. Le correcteur de trajectoire (VSA) reste en veille mais peut \u00eatre d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9 ind\u00e9pendamment\u2026 Mais la motricit\u00e9 est telle que son t\u00e9moin ne s\u2019est jamais allum\u00e9 en mode Track. Du grand art\u00a0que cette Honda NSX\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Affich\u00e9e \u00e0 CHF 216’000.- sans parler des quelques CHF 50’000.- d\u2019options disponibles, la Honda NSX est plus ch\u00e8re que ses principales rivales, les McLaren 570S et Audi R8 V10. Mais c\u2019est sans compter le fait qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une supercar hybride. Si la consommation n\u2019est souvent pas un crit\u00e8re prioritaire lors de l\u2019achat d\u2019une supercar, dans le cas pr\u00e9sent, l\u2019hybridation participe \u00e0 l\u2019agr\u00e9ment de conduite \u2013 gr\u00e2ce au couple suppl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 bas r\u00e9gimes \u2013 tout en dopant ses performances dynamiques gr\u00e2ce au fonctionnement intelligent de ses quatre moteurs qui assurent une motricit\u00e9 d\u2019enfer\u00a0! De fait, la Honda NSX n\u2019a pas de r\u00e9elle concurrente sur le march\u00e9. Entre une BMW i8 plus \u00e9colo mais nettement moins performante, et une Porsche 918 Spyder qui tient plus de l\u2019hypercar inaccessible, il y avait un \u00e9norme foss\u00e9, et Honda est le premier constructeur \u00e0 s\u2019y \u00eatre engouffr\u00e9 avec la NSX !<\/strong><\/p>\n
