C\u2019est en tout cas le premier constat qui vient \u00e0 l\u2019esprit apr\u00e8s deux jours de conduite auxquels le constructeur italien a convi\u00e9 des journalistes provenant de plusieurs pays europ\u00e9ens \u00e0 l\u2019endroit m\u00eame qui a donn\u00e9 son nom au SUV transalpin. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ces deux journ\u00e9es nous ont permis de rallier Milan, si\u00e8ge historique d\u2019Alfa Romeo, au col du Stelvio, le plus haut d\u2019Italie avec ses 2\u2019760 m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude, en passant par la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre station de ski de Bormio. Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 seulement 3 km de la fronti\u00e8re suisse, le Stelvio, deuxi\u00e8me plus haut col routier de toutes les Alpes, est appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 aussi bien des passionn\u00e9s de conduite, qui ne se lassent pas de n\u00e9gocier les soixante \u00e9pingles du versant nord du col, que des constructeurs qui y mettent au point leurs diff\u00e9rents mod\u00e8les. Et cela depuis fort longtemps puisque Ferdinand Porsche et son fils Ferry y ont effectu\u00e9 en 1938 des essais au volant de prototypes de la future Coccinelle !<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;Row&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>\nPr\u00e9sent lors de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement de presse r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 un nombre restreint de journalistes, l\u2019ing\u00e9nieur Roberto Fedeli, directeur technique d\u2019Alfa Romeo et de Maserati depuis le d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2016 et ancien directeur de la recherche et du d\u00e9veloppement chez Ferrari, nous a confirm\u00e9 qu\u2019Alfa Romeo utilise lui aussi le col du Stelvio en tant que terrain d\u2019essais : \u00abLe premier tron\u00e7on, depuis la localit\u00e9 de Bormio jusqu\u2019au sommet du col, s\u2019av\u00e8re id\u00e9al pour v\u00e9rifier la maniabilit\u00e9, la tenue de route et la pr\u00e9cision de la direction. Le second tron\u00e7on, depuis le col jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Trafoi, permet de bien analyser l\u2019\u00e9quilibre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la voiture et son excellent freinage. Or le plaisir de conduire est une caract\u00e9ristique qui est toujours all\u00e9e de pair avec les Alfa Romeo. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 aujourd\u2019hui, il y avait quelque peu une lacune dans l\u2019offre de SUV con\u00e7us autour de ce plaisir de conduire. Le Stelvio comble ainsi une lacune dans un segment de prix in\u00e9dit jusqu\u2019ici. Le seul SUV, ax\u00e9 \u00e9galement sur le plaisir de conduire est le Porsche Macan, mais il \u00e9volue dans une sph\u00e8re tarifaire diff\u00e9rente\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>A y regarder de plus pr\u00e8s, les tarifs ne sont cependant pas si diff\u00e9rents que cela entre l\u2019Alfa Romeo Stelvio de 280ch, le mod\u00e8le qui int\u00e9ressera certainement le plus les lecteurs de Sport-Auto.ch, et le Porsche Macan le moins cher, \u00e0 savoir celui de 252 ch. Une fois install\u00e9 au volant, on remarque que ce dernier accueille le bouton \u00abstart\u00bb, comme c\u2019est le cas sur les Ferrari. L\u2019ambiance \u00e0 bord est donc particuli\u00e8rement sportive. Et cette sportivit\u00e9 est confirm\u00e9e d\u00e8s les premiers kilom\u00e8tres. Le comportement du Stelvio avec sa traction int\u00e9grale Q4 orient\u00e9e propulsion est un mod\u00e8le d\u2019efficacit\u00e9. A la fois dynamique et agile, il ne pr\u00e9sente que tr\u00e8s peu de roulis et autorise une v\u00e9ritable conduite sportive d\u00e8s les premiers lacets et autres courbes rapides qui se pr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 la sortie de Bormio en direction du col du Stelvio. La direction est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cise et la bo\u00eete ZF \u00e0 huit rapports est un vrai r\u00e9gal. Alfa Romeo annonce en effet un chrono de 5,7 secondes pour l\u2019exercice du 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h. Et le freinage s\u2019est aussi av\u00e9r\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement efficace. On ne peut pas en dire autant du r\u00e9glage du syst\u00e8me d\u2019information qui g\u00e8re, entre autres, le GPS. Il ne permet par exemple pas de changer la langue tant que l\u2019on n\u2019est pas \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat, alors m\u00eame qu\u2019il est possible de modifier pratiquement tous les autres r\u00e9glages en roulant ! Il ne s\u2019agit l\u00e0 cependant que d\u2019un d\u00e9tail qui est loin d\u2019\u00eatre r\u00e9dhibitoire tant l\u2019Alfa Romeo Stelvio m\u2019a globalement convaincu.<\/p>\n<p>Aux aptitudes de conduite, \u00e0 la fois sportives et efficaces, on ajoutera une excellente position de conduite sur\u00e9lev\u00e9e qui offre une parfaite vision de la route. J\u2019ai \u00e9galement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 le\u00a0dessin de la planche de bord, \u00e0 commencer par les deux bombages qui rappellent ceux du Spider 2000 Veloce, commercialis\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de 1972, ou ceux de la Montreal avec laquelle Alfa Romeo proposait une v\u00e9ritable alternative haut de gamme aux meilleurs produits de la concurrence allemande.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;Row&#8221;
