Le premier contact avec les Audi TT RS Coup\u00e9 et Roadster en Espagne<\/a> avait laiss\u00e9 une impression tr\u00e8s positive \u00e0 mon coll\u00e8gue qui \u00e9tait tomb\u00e9 sous le charme des performances exceptionnelles et de la sonorit\u00e9 unique du moteur cinq cylindres de 400 ch. Cette impression allait-elle \u00eatre tout aussi favorable en usage quotidien en Suisse ? Verdict apr\u00e8s 1\u2019781 km de vie commune. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Essayer une voiture sur circuit, en l\u2019occurrence sur celui Jarama, ainsi que sur les routes relativement peu fr\u00e9quent\u00e9es de l\u2019arri\u00e8re-pays madril\u00e8ne est une chose. L\u2019essayer au quotidien sur nos autoroutes suisses, dans nos villes ainsi que sur nos routes cantonales et nos cols en est une autre. Cette seconde approche a non seulement confirm\u00e9 tout le bien qu\u2019on avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 pu penser de l\u2019Audi TT RS, mais a \u00e9galement permis de constater que ce coup\u00e9 \u00e0 tr\u00e8s hautes performances (de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en 3,7 secondes) pouvait aussi s\u2019accommoder d\u2019une conduite tranquille entre mon domicile en Gruy\u00e8re et la r\u00e9daction dans laquelle je travaille en r\u00e9gion lausannoise. Sur ce trajet aller-retour de 150 km, compos\u00e9 de 25km de routes de campagne, 10 km de conduite en ville et 115 km d\u2019autoroute, mon Audi TT RS gris Nard\u00f2 d\u2019essai a fait preuve d\u2019une polyvalence sans reproche.<\/p>\n

Parfaitement install\u00e9 dans un si\u00e8ge en cuir \u00e0 surpiq\u00fbres rouges aussi \u00e9l\u00e9gant que confortable, les kilom\u00e8tres d\u00e9filent dans un silence pour le moins reposant. Les rapports de la bo\u00eete \u00e0 double embrayage S-Tronic \u2013 unique transmission disponible \u2013 montent tout seuls, sans le moindre \u00e0-coup, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la 7\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re vitesse qui s\u2019enclenche automatiquement \u00e0 partir de 71 km\/h. A 80 km\/h, le compte-tour indique 1\u2019450 trs\/min.<\/p>\n

\nLa sonorit\u00e9 du moteur cinq cylindres \u00e9tant tellement envo\u00fbtante, je ne r\u00e9siste pas \u00e0 la tentation d\u2019appuyer sur la touche sport de l\u2019\u00e9chappement et d\u2019\u00e9craser avec vigueur la p\u00e9dale d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur en entrant sur l\u2019autoroute. Je ne suis alors plus au volant d\u2019un docile coup\u00e9 mais d\u2019une m\u00e9chante supercar. Celle-ci interpr\u00e8te une magnifique symphonie \u00e0 cinq cylindres, proche de celle jadis distill\u00e9e en rallye par les Audi Quattro de Walter R\u00f6hrl et Mich\u00e8le Mouton, et atteint en moins de temps qu\u2019il ne faut pour l\u2019\u00e9crire la vitesse maximale autoris\u00e9e\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Une fois le r\u00e9gulateur de vitesse programm\u00e9 \u00e0 120 km\/h, le compte-tour indique 2\u2019100 trs\/min sur le 7\u00e8me rapport. Inutile de pr\u00e9ciser que je regrette de ne pas me trouver sur une autoroute allemande \u00e0 vitesse illimit\u00e9e, d\u2019autant plus que cette Audi TT RS dispose de l\u2019option \u00ab Anhebung auf 280 km\/h \u00bb (CHF 1’950.-) qui permet \u00e0 la TT RS de ne pas \u00eatre limit\u00e9e \u00e9lectroniquement \u00e0 250 km\/h et de monter jusqu\u2019\u00e0 280 km\/h. Avec diff\u00e9rentes autres options, dont les tr\u00e8s belles jantes Rotor en aluminium, l\u2019\u00e9chappement sport et le syst\u00e8me de navigation MM1 Plus factur\u00e9s respectivement CHF 2’250.-, 1’310.- et 3’240.-, le prix total de notre v\u00e9hicule d\u2019essai grimpe \u00e0 CHF 104’370.- alors que le prix de base d\u00e9marre \u00e0 CHF 85’700.-.<\/p>\n

Contrairement \u00e0 la plupart des mod\u00e8les Audi, la bo\u00eete S-Tronic ne dispose ici pas de la fonction \u00ab roue libre \u00bb que l\u2019on trouve pourtant sur les bo\u00eetes DSG chez Volkswagen ou PDK chez Porsche. Dommage car cette fonction permet, lors des l\u00e9g\u00e8res descentes, de faire baisser la consommation. Cette derni\u00e8re n\u2019est pas le point fort de l\u2019Audi TT RS. Ceci dit, apr\u00e8s avoir eu quelques craintes au d\u00e9but de notre essai o\u00f9 nous avons appuy\u00e9 sur la p\u00e9dale des gaz sans trop de mod\u00e9ration, la consommation n\u2019a rien d\u2019excessif pour une voiture de 400 ch. Sur l\u2019ensemble des 1\u2019781 km de notre essai, nous avons en effet enregistr\u00e9 une consommation moyenne de 10,4 l\/100km avec un minimum de 8,1 et 8,9 l\/100km sur respectivement 125 et 405 km effectu\u00e9s majoritairement sur autoroute, ainsi qu\u2019un maximum de 15,6 l\/100km sur 152 km men\u00e9s tambour battant sur plusieurs routes de montagne du canton du Valais et des Alpes vaudoises, dont le col des Mosses.<\/p>\n

\nSur ce dernier terrain, la conduite de l\u2019Audi TT RS procure un bonheur infini et je partage \u00e0 100% les propos tenus par Michael \u00e0 son retour de la pr\u00e9sentation \u00e0 la presse des coup\u00e9s et roadsters TT RS en Espagne<\/a>. La facilit\u00e9 de prise en main, l\u2019excellente tenue de route et une bo\u00eete parfaitement \u00e9tag\u00e9e permettent d\u2019exploiter efficacement et en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 un moteur plein d\u00e8s les plus bas r\u00e9gimes. Les quatre roues motrices ne sont pas \u00e9trang\u00e8res \u00e0 cette efficacit\u00e9 pour le moins bluffante. La motricit\u00e9 est en effet exceptionnelle et il en va de m\u00eame pour le train avant qui permet de placer l\u2019Audi TT RS au millim\u00e8tre en entr\u00e9e de courbe. Les ing\u00e9nieurs d\u2019Audi Sport ont incontestablement effectu\u00e9 du tr\u00e8s bon travail.<\/p>\n

\nC\u2019est donc \u00e0 regret que j\u2019ai d\u00fb rendre cette fabuleuse Audi TT RS apr\u00e8s une semaine de vie commune. Une semaine qui a \u00e9galement permis de prendre conscience du grand soin des d\u00e9tails apport\u00e9 par les responsables de la marque aux quatre anneaux dans plusieurs domaines. Sans nous attarder sur le tr\u00e8s ing\u00e9nieux Virtual Cockpit, d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9crit dans notre essai au retour d\u2019Espagne avec ses compteurs et ses cartes routi\u00e8res qui changent d\u2019\u00e9chelle d\u2019une simple rotation du pouce sur le volant, on rel\u00e8vera les clignotants d\u00e9filants qui s\u2019activent de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on que les feux des voitures de police ou encore le syst\u00e8me de lave-glace qui gicle d\u2019abord l\u2019eau sur le pare-brise avant d\u2019enclencher les essuie-glaces.<\/p>\n

\nAu chapitre des (petits) points n\u00e9gatifs, outre l\u2019absence de syst\u00e8me roue libre d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9voqu\u00e9, la prise allume-cigare permettant de recharger un appareil est mal plac\u00e9e et la tonalit\u00e9 du klaxon est pour le moins banale. Enfin, si contrairement au roadster, le coup\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019avantage de proposer deux places arri\u00e8re, celles-ci sont encore plus exigu\u00ebs que dans une Porsche 911<\/a> au point qu\u2019il est inutile d\u2019envisager y installer des adultes. On peut n\u00e9anmoins rabattre les si\u00e8ges et obtenir une surface de chargement plate facilement accessible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019ouverture du hayon.<\/p>\n

Ses quatre roues motrices et ses 400 ch, issus d\u2019un tr\u00e8s m\u00e9lodieux cinq cylindres turbo de 2,5L de cylindr\u00e9e, lui permettent d\u2019atteindre des performances \u2013 du moins sur la route \u2013 proches de certaines supercars comme la McLaren 540C<\/a> ou sa grande s\u0153ur l\u2019Audi R8<\/a>. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de comparaisons pour le moins flatteuses et c\u2019est \u00e0 cette aune-l\u00e0 que l\u2019on doit mettre en rapport son prix de CHF 104’370.- pour\u00a0notre voiture d’essai tr\u00e8s bien \u00e9quip\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n
