La premi\u00e8re 911 Targa est apparue en 1966, soit 15 ans avant la premi\u00e8re 911 cabriolet. Depuis, chaque g\u00e9n\u00e9ration a accueilli une d\u00e9clinaison Targa dans son catalogue, avec plus ou moins de succ\u00e8s… Si le remplacement de l’arceau par un toit vitr\u00e9 n\u2019avait pas soulev\u00e9 moult critiques sur la 993, les 996 et 997 Targa \u00e9taient plus douteuses mais surtout, elles confirmaient que l\u2019esprit Targa, avec son arceau et son toit ind\u00e9pendant, avait disparu au profit du modernisme et du confort. En effet, consid\u00e9rant une op\u00e9ration 100% automatique dispensant l\u2019utilisateur de tout effort, l\u2019op\u00e9ration d\u2019un toit vitr\u00e9 coulissant est bien plus ais\u00e9e que le retrait d\u2019une partie de toit qu\u2019il faudrait venir ranger sous un hayon fixe. <\/p>\n

\nEt pourtant, en 2013, totalement emport\u00e9s par l\u2019\u00e9lan d\u2019enthousiasme provoqu\u00e9 par les 50 ans de la 911, le miracle a eu lieu\u00a0: les ing\u00e9nieurs de Stuttgart ont mouill\u00e9 leurs chemises pour nous concocter une v\u00e9ritable Targa qui sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en janvier 2014. Concr\u00e8tement, cela se traduit par la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un g\u00e9n\u00e9reux hayon en verre adossant un arceau argent\u00e9 au style d\u2019\u00e9poque. L\u2019arceau est reli\u00e9 au pare-brise par un toit amovible garni de toile. Par un m\u00e9canisme ing\u00e9nieux qui ne manque pas d\u2019attirer les curieux, celui-ci vient se ranger sous le hayon en 20 secondes, sur simple pression d\u2019un bouton sur la console centrale ou via la t\u00e9l\u00e9commande\u00a0! La praticit\u00e9 de la 911 n\u2019est pas remise en cause puisque l\u2019espace r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux places arri\u00e8re reste identique, et il est m\u00eame possible d’ouvrir le hayon pour exploiter la plage arri\u00e8re. C\u2019est vrai, mais \u00e0 quel point ? Qui serait capable, sur route ouverte, de cerner une diff\u00e9rence de comportement en faveur du coup\u00e9 ? Quant \u00e0 l\u2019insonorisation de cette Targa, elle est certes l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle du coup\u00e9, mais n\u00e9anmoins bien meilleure que n\u2019importe quel cabriolet. Pour que l\u2019exp\u00e9rience soit magnifi\u00e9e, je s\u00e9lectionne le mode Sport au moyen de la molette rotative situ\u00e9e sur le volant. Ainsi, de g\u00e9n\u00e9reux borborygmes sont l\u00e2ch\u00e9s par l\u2019\u00e9chappement Sport (CHF 3’180.-) lors de chaque d\u00e9c\u00e9l\u00e9ration. Le cadran num\u00e9rique permet de voir qu\u2019\u00e0 vitesse stable, l\u2019entier du couple est envoy\u00e9 sur les roues arri\u00e8re. Plus l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration est vigoureuse, plus la quantit\u00e9 de couple envoy\u00e9 sur les roues avant augmente, sans jamais d\u00e9passer les 50%. Aux limites d\u2019adh\u00e9rence, la Porsche 911 a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 une voiture \u00e0 deux\u00a0visages et le fait qu\u2019elle soit dot\u00e9e de 4 roues motrices ne change pas grand-chose\u00a0: sujette au sous-virage quand on fait tout \u00e0 l\u2019envers, elle sait aussi offrir de l\u00e9gers d\u00e9hanchements du train arri\u00e8re sur demande. En mode automatique, la bo\u00eete se goure rarement dans ses r\u00e9actions, quelle que soit l\u2019allure et la route emprunt\u00e9e. En mode manuel, les palettes en m\u00e9tal offrent un excellent touch\u00e9, tout comme le shifter auquel j\u2019aurai recours \u00e0 plusieurs reprises aux abords des virages serr\u00e9s. Reste un point g\u00eanant, la consommation\u2026 Bien que la bo\u00eete PDK r\u00e9alise une \u00e9conomie substantielle gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa gestion et \u00e0 sa commutation en roues libres selon la vitesse de rel\u00e2chement du pied, la consommation moyenne reste \u00e9lev\u00e9e : entre 11 et 12 l\/100km, sans faire plein usage de ses 420 ch, et environ 9 l\/100km sur autoroute. Certes, sa sonorit\u00e9 bien que tr\u00e8s typ\u00e9e au ralenti, reste en retrait par rapport \u00e0 son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur atmosph\u00e9rique. Mais pour le reste, c\u2019est carton plein ! Ce moteur poss\u00e8de une plage d\u2019utilisation incroyable, des plus bas r\u00e9gimes jusqu\u2019au rupteur \u00e0 7\u2019400 trs\/min, et ce sans jamais s\u2019essouffler. En roulant sur le couple, les \u00e9volutions en ville se font ais\u00e9ment sur le 5\u00e8me ou 6\u00e8me rapport \u00e0 1\u2019000 trs\/min, avant que la bo\u00eete PDK ne passe la 7\u00e8me \u00e0\u2026 53 km\/h ! Quant au temps de r\u00e9ponse de la suralimentation, il est \u00e0 peine perceptible en conduisant normalement et carr\u00e9ment absent \u00e0 hauts r\u00e9gimes.
