C\u2019est le 19 juin 1965 que le pilote fribourgeois Jo Siffert a particip\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois aux 24 Heures du Mans. Il pilotait alors une Maserati, une marque qui allait \u00e9galement l\u2019accompagner en F1 puisque, de 1966 \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re course de 1968, il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 19 grands prix sur une Cooper-Maserati. Et c\u2019est avec sa Cooper-Maserati de F1, qu\u2019il s\u2019est impos\u00e9 en 1966 \u00e0 la course de c\u00f4te des Rangiers. Nous traversons ensuite le pont de Berne qui est le dernier pont couvert en bois de la ville. S\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit au milieu du 13e si\u00e8cle, son aspect actuel date de 1653. Il a en effet \u00e9galement disput\u00e9 des courses de c\u00f4te, comme celle de Valangin-La Vue des Alpes qu\u2019il a remport\u00e9e en 1948 au volant d\u2019une Maserati. Et c\u2019est lui qui conseilla \u00e0 Juan Manuel Fangio de venir courir \u00e0 La Vue des Alpes en 1953, ce que le pilote argentin accepta volontiers. Au volant de sa Maserati A6GCM, le champion du monde de 1951 y r\u00e9alisa le meilleur temps absolu en 4\u201946\u2019\u20194. Toulo de Graffenried, lui aussi au volant d\u2019une Maserati A6GCM, termina deuxi\u00e8me. c\u00f4te Valangin-La Vue des Alpes avec une Maserati. La Grecale Folgore \u00e9lectrique est certes nettement plus silencieuse que celle de Fangio, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 sacr\u00e9 cinq fois champion du monde de F1 (1951, 1954, 1955, 1956 et 1957), elle n\u2019en est pas moins tr\u00e8s efficace, surtout lorsque nous s\u00e9lectionnons le mode de conduite \u00abSport\u00bb qui raffermit les suspensions.<\/p>\n La direction s’av\u00e8re par ailleurs tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cise et nous ne ressentons les 2,5 tonnes du v\u00e9hicule que lors des freinages appuy\u00e9s \u00e0 la descente, une fois le col franchi. A la mont\u00e9e, les 550 ch distill\u00e9s par les deux moteurs \u00e9lectriques font tr\u00e8s rapidement oublier le poids de la b\u00eate qui acc\u00e9l\u00e8re de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en 4,1 secondes. Et cette b\u00eate, qui ne prend que tr\u00e8s peu de roulis, est parfaitement servie par sa suspension pneumatique. Au sommet du col, nous essayons d\u2019effectuer une photo similaire \u00e0 celle o\u00f9 l\u2019on voit Fangio discuter en 1953 avec un autre pilote. Nous demandons \u00e0 un coll\u00e8gue de la r\u00e9daction dans laquelle nous travaillons de prendre une pose identique \u00e0 celle du champion du monde argentin devant un b\u00e2timent qui, en 72 Nous s\u00e9lectionnons ainsi le niveau qui ralentit le plus possible le v\u00e9hicule avant un virage serr\u00e9, afin de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer le maximum d\u2019\u00e9nergie, et passons imm\u00e9diatement, d\u00e8s le milieu dudit virage, au niveau “roue libre” afin de reprendre de la vitesse sans m\u00eame appuyer sur la p\u00e9dale de l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur.<\/p>\n
