En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, les designers de la marque espagnole ont proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 une mise \u00e0 jour esth\u00e9tique en profondeur. Pour les deux mod\u00e8les, ces modifications se concentrent principalement sur l\u2019avant du v\u00e9hicule, qui arbore d\u00e9sormais ce que l\u2019on appelle un “nez de requin”, une large calandre concave, ainsi qu’une nouvelle signature lumineuse compos\u00e9e de trois triangles, rappelant le logo de la marque. Je quitte rapidement les voies rapides du p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique de Barcelone pour profiter du comportement dynamique de la Formentor VZ sur les routes sinueuses des collines environnantes. La conduite se r\u00e9v\u00e8le tr\u00e8s ludique avec des reprises \u00e9nergiques \u00e0 tous les r\u00e9gimes. Les qualit\u00e9s dynamiques de la nouvelle Formentor semblent encore meilleures que celles de la version pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente qui m’avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 impressionn\u00e9. En effet, elle est \u00e9quip\u00e9e, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, d’un Torque Splitter. Ce dispositif, compos\u00e9 d’embrayages situ\u00e9s sur chaque roue, permet d’envoyer plus de couple vers l’ext\u00e9rieur afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la prise de courbe. Son r\u00f4le est de r\u00e9partir la force du moteur, non seulement entre les essieux avant et arri\u00e8re, mais \u00e9galement entre les roues gauche et droite de l’essieu arri\u00e8re. Bien qu’il s’agisse d’une crossover, la position de conduite semble \u00e9tonnamment basse et les sensations de conduite saines. Le r\u00e9glage tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis du ch\u00e2ssis limite le roulis, tandis que la traction 4Drive assure une excellente motricit\u00e9. Sur le papier, cela est partiellement compens\u00e9 par un gain de 120 kg par rapport au mod\u00e8le familial, ce qui lui permet de perdre moins d\u2019une seconde dans l\u2019exercice du 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h.
