Est-il possible de faire encore mieux que la McLaren 720S<\/a> que nous avions essay\u00e9e en 2021 ? Le niveau atteint par cette supercar \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tel que la question m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre pos\u00e9e. La premi\u00e8re phrase du communiqu\u00e9 de presse apporte d\u00e9j\u00e0 un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de r\u00e9ponse : \u00ab La nouvelle 750S est la McLaren de s\u00e9rie la plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re et la plus puissante, avec le meilleur rapport puissance\/poids de la cat\u00e9gorie, soit 587 ch par tonne (version Coup\u00e9, poids \u00e0 sec) \u00bb. Le d\u00e9cor est donc plant\u00e9, avant m\u00eame que je me rende chez McLaren Geneva pour la d\u00e9couvrir.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Une fois n\u2019est pas coutume, cet essai commence par une pr\u00e9sentation r\u00e9serv\u00e9e \u00e0 un petit comit\u00e9 de journalistes chanceux. Oui, vous avez bien lu, je vais avoir la chance de l\u2019essayer. Max Hunt, Product Manager chez McLaren, a fait le d\u00e9placement depuis Woking pour nous pr\u00e9senter la rempla\u00e7ante de la 720S<\/a>. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la star du jour, une 750S Aurora Blue, une 720S Papaya Spark (orange) permet de se livrer au jeu des sept diff\u00e9rences. Si les deux autos se ressemblent comme deux gouttes d\u2019eau, plusieurs \u00e9l\u00e9ments les distinguent.<\/p>\n

A commencer par le bouclier avant, qui, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre peint dans la couleur carrosserie, a \u00e9t\u00e9 redessin\u00e9 afin de r\u00e9duire encore davantage la portance du train avant. Les ailes comportent des ou\u00efes d\u2019a\u00e9ration (en option) permettant de r\u00e9duire la pression d\u2019air dans les passages de roue. A l\u2019arri\u00e8re, la double sortie d\u2019\u00e9chappement a laiss\u00e9 place \u00e0 un nouvel \u00e9chappement central orient\u00e9 vers le haut (inspir\u00e9 de la P1), tandis que l\u2019aileron a \u00e9t\u00e9 sur\u00e9lev\u00e9 de 6 cm et agrandi de 20%. Ce dernier est maintenant en carbone, participant \u00e0 la cure d\u2019all\u00e8gement de l\u2019auto. D\u2019autres am\u00e9liorations a\u00e9rodynamiques, plus subtiles, ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es, comme la r\u00e9duction de l\u2019ouverture des phares avant (- 3 cm) ou le diffuseur arri\u00e8re plus prononc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Techniquement, le nombre 30 permet de diff\u00e9rencier la 750S de sa devanci\u00e8re : 30 ch de plus, 30 Nm de plus et 30 kg de moins. \u00ab Cela n\u2019\u00e9tait pas calcul\u00e9 au d\u00e9part que nous arrivions aussi \u00e0 ce nombre pour la r\u00e9duction du poids \u00bb nous confie Max Hunt, tout sourire. A elles seules, les nouvelles jantes forg\u00e9es permettent de gagner 13,8 kg. A sec, la McLaren 750S Coup\u00e9 ne p\u00e8se ainsi que 1’277 kg. Les suspensions hydrauliques Proactive Chassis Control de McLaren, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 revues, permettent de gagner 2 kg. \u00ab Les modifications apport\u00e9es \u00e0 la suspension PCC III offrent \u00e0 la 750S une \u00e9tendue encore plus importante, en maintenant le niveau de confort de la 720S tout en am\u00e9liorant ses performances en courbes \u00bb d\u00e9taille Max Hunt.<\/p>\n
