Enfin ! Le Salon de l\u2019auto de Gen\u00e8ve est enfin de retour. Pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis 2019, le Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) se tiendra en effet du mercredi 28 f\u00e9vrier au dimanche 3 mars \u00e0 Palexpo. Il c\u00e9l\u00e9brera \u00e0 cette occasion le 100\u00e8me anniversaire de sa premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition internationale. Celle-ci avait eu lieu du 14 au 23 mars 1924 et avait accueilli un certain Enzo Ferrari. Celui qui allait fonder en 1947 la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre marque de voitures sportives Ferrari courait \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque sur une Alfa Romeo et s\u2019\u00e9tait impos\u00e9 dans sa cat\u00e9gorie lors du kilom\u00e8tre lanc\u00e9 organis\u00e9 le 16 mars 1924 \u00e0 Eaumorte, entre Bernex et Chancy, dans le cadre du Salon de l\u2019auto. Le mill\u00e9sime 2024 du GIMS a vu un autre Italien se mettre en \u00e9vidence, Luca de Meo. Le grand patron de Renault n\u2019y a pas seulement d\u00e9voil\u00e9 en premi\u00e8re mondiale la nouvelle Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, il a \u00e9galement re\u00e7u le prix de \u00abLa voiture de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024\u00bb pour la Renault Sc\u00e9nic E-Tech Electric. Comme l\u2019a relev\u00e9, Gilles Vidal, le directeur du design de Renault, la nouvelle Renault 5 poss\u00e8de de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e9ments stylistiques en commun non seulement avec la Renault 5 originelle de 1972, mais \u00e9galement avec la Renault 5 Turbo qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en 1978 et qui a remport\u00e9 de nombreuses courses tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n \u00abLa Renault 5 Turbo m\u2019a notamment inspir\u00e9 les passages de roue qui \u00e9largissent la silhouette de la nouvelle Renault 5 E-Tech Electric\u00bb, a relev\u00e9 Gilles Vidal. \u00abCes passages de roue \u00e9largis apportent non seulement une assise visuelle, mais renforcent le caract\u00e8re unique et imm\u00e9diatement reconnaissable de la nouvelle Renault 5 E-Tech, \u00e0 l\u2019image de celui de la Renault 5 Turbo.\u00bb Sous le capot, on ne trouve cependant pas un moteur thermique mais bien un moteur \u00e9lectrique. S\u2019il est plus compact que celui de la M\u00e9gane E-Tech Electric et de la Sc\u00e9nic E-Tech Electric dont il est d\u00e9riv\u00e9, il demeure fid\u00e8le \u00e0 la technologie de pr\u00e9dilection utilis\u00e9e par Renault, \u00e0 savoir un synchrone \u00e0 rotor bobin\u00e9. Il n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 battu que par les Fran\u00e7ais Ren\u00e9 Thomas (Delage) et Jules Moriceau (Talbot), respectivement chronom\u00e9tr\u00e9s en 17\u2019\u20196 et 25\u2019\u20193. Je disposais d\u2019une Alfa RL SS 6 cylindres et avais pu compter sur le talent organisationnel d\u2019Albert Schmidt pour lequel j\u2019avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 pilot\u00e9 quelques mois auparavant, pendant la seule p\u00e9riode o\u00f9 j\u2019ai travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n Avant de diriger la Scuderia Ferrari, qui faisait courir des Alfa Romeo \u00e0 partir de 1930, puis de construire, \u00e0 partir de 1947, des voitures qui portaient son nom, Enzo Ferrari \u00e9tait en effet un pilote de renom. Il n\u2019\u00e9tait certes pas aussi rapide que Tazio Nuvolari, consid\u00e9r\u00e9 par beaucoup comme le meilleur pilote de sa g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, mais il a quand m\u00eame obtenu plusieurs r\u00e9sultats remarquables. Cela d\u00e8s sa deuxi\u00e8me saison de comp\u00e9tition, en 1920.
