Pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le 75e anniversaire des voitures de sport Jaguar, le constructeur britannique pr\u00e9sente la R75, une \u00e9dition sp\u00e9ciale de sa c\u00e9l\u00e8bre F-Type disponible en version cabriolet<\/a> et coup\u00e9. Cependant, 75 ans apr\u00e8s le lancement de la mythique XK120, cette comm\u00e9moration est teint\u00e9e d’une note am\u00e8re. En effet, cette F-Type symbolise la conclusion d’une \u00e8re, \u00e9tant la derni\u00e8re sportive \u00e0 moteur thermique que Jaguar produira avant de s’orienter vers l’\u00e9lectromobilit\u00e9. Les adieux sont in\u00e9vitables, empreints d’une pointe de m\u00e9lancolie. Notre voiture d\u2019essai est la version Coup\u00e9 de 575 chevaux, dont le patronyme complet est Jaguar F-Type P575 Coup\u00e9 R75. Ses lignes fluides et \u00e9l\u00e9gantes ont travers\u00e9 les \u00e9poques sans prendre de rides. Son toit fuyant en arc et le pare-brise inclin\u00e9 lui conf\u00e8rent une allure dynamique, qui marie avec harmonie la puissance brute \u00e0 une esth\u00e9tique raffin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’avant, les phares effil\u00e9s \u00e9voquent la f\u00e9rocit\u00e9 d’un f\u00e9lin pr\u00eat \u00e0 bondir. Cependant, je nourris une petite nostalgie pour les optiques verticales pr\u00e9sentes sur les versions ant\u00e9rieures<\/a>. Les ailes \u00e9largies et l’arri\u00e8re \u00e9vas\u00e9 ajoutent une note muscl\u00e9e, tandis que le diffuseur imposant, flanqu\u00e9 de quatre sorties d’\u00e9chappement chrom\u00e9es, accentue davantage le caract\u00e8re sportif de cette voiture embl\u00e9matique. De plus, notre voiture d\u2019essai est pourvue d\u2019un spoiler arri\u00e8re fixe (CHF 320.-) qui remplace avantageusement la version r\u00e9tractable propos\u00e9e de s\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n

Le cockpit de la Jaguar F-Type R75 est positionn\u00e9 bas ; si comme moi vous d\u00e9passez la taille de 1,9 m\u00e8tre, un peu d’entra\u00eenement sera n\u00e9cessaire pour y acc\u00e9der avec l’\u00e9l\u00e9gance requise par ce coup\u00e9. Une fois install\u00e9, aucune surprise, tout demeure comme \u00e0 l’accoutum\u00e9e. Une finition raffin\u00e9e, un souci du d\u00e9tail et m\u00eame l’odeur envo\u00fbtante du cuir cr\u00e9ent une ambiance typiquement british. Le confort et le maintien lat\u00e9ral des deux si\u00e8ges rev\u00eatus de cuir fin ne suscitent aucune critique. La disposition des commandes demeure inchang\u00e9e et la technologie de l\u2019info divertissement est d\u2019une simplicit\u00e9 enfantine. Certes ce n’est pas le meilleur de sa cat\u00e9gorie et certainement pas le plus rapide, mais aucun risque que vous vous perdiez dans des dizaines de sous-menus. Simple et efficace, quoi qu\u2019un peu d\u00e9pass\u00e9. L\u2019\u00e9cran conducteur, en revanche, r\u00e9pond aux standards actuels. Il est enti\u00e8rement personnalisable et plus rapide que l’\u00e9cran central.<\/p>\n

L\u2019espace d\u2019une nuit, une \u00e9paisse couche de neige a envelopp\u00e9 le paysage pratiquement jusqu\u2019en plaine. Je prends la route en direction du Val d’Illiez pour \u00e9valuer la F-Type sur la neige et faire quelques clich\u00e9s du f\u00e9lin dans un environnement enneig\u00e9. Il neige \u00e0 gros flocons et la route vers Champ\u00e9ry est totalement enneig\u00e9e. J\u2019opte donc dans un premier temps pour le mode Pluie\/Verglas\/Neige.
