Pour cette d\u00e9couverte de la Lucid Air, rendez-vous m\u2019est donn\u00e9 au Lucid Studio de Munich, le premier \u00e0 avoir ouvert en Europe. Les \u00ab\u00a0Studios\u00a0\u00bb sont les agences Lucid Motors\u00a0: la distribution est ainsi directe, sans concessionnaire. En Europe, Lucid Motors est actuellement implant\u00e9 en Allemagne, Hollande, Norv\u00e8ge et en Suisse, le Lucid Studio se situant \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve et un showroom venant d\u2019ouvrir \u00e0 Z\u00fcrich.<\/p>\n

La Lucid Air est d\u00e9clin\u00e9e en trois gammes : Pure, Touring et Grand Touring, avec diff\u00e9rents paquets d\u2019\u00e9quipement, de capacit\u00e9s de batterie et des puissances allant de 358 \u00e0 611 kW, soit 830 ch ! Le couple camionesque se situe entre 930 \u00e0 1’200 Nm. Toutes les gammes sont propos\u00e9es en traction int\u00e9grale, avec un moteur \u00e9lectrique par essieu.<\/p>\n

L\u2019approche de Lucid Motors dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration de son mod\u00e8le Air s\u2019articule autour de plusieurs lignes directrices. La premi\u00e8re est l\u2019espace int\u00e9rieur\u00a0: la forme g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la voiture et l\u2019implantation des rang\u00e9es de si\u00e8ge ont \u00e9t\u00e9 optimis\u00e9es dans ce sens. Cela se traduit par un vaste et surprenant espace aux places arri\u00e8re. Lucid Motors fournit \u00e9galement un gros effort sur l\u2019efficience\u00a0: tous les composants sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s en interne, contrairement \u00e0 d\u2019autres marques qui se servent dans les banques de composants des fournisseurs. Ainsi, il est possible de dimensionner le composant au plus juste et ainsi gagner en place, en poids et en efficience. Le syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectrique de 700 V de tension permet de diminuer la section des c\u00e2bles, donc le poids et l\u2019encombrement, par rapport au standard de 450 V usuellement utilis\u00e9 dans la branche. Apr\u00e8s une pr\u00e9sentation de la marque et du mod\u00e8le suivi de quelques \u00e9changes, nous nous d\u00e9pla\u00e7ons vers la destination du soir, le T\u00e4gernsee au sud de Munich. Pour ce trajet, on me confie une Lucid Air de l\u2019entr\u00e9e de gamme, soit une version Pure. La sortie de Munich me permet de m\u2019habituer au gabarit passablement imposant du v\u00e9hicule et \u00e0 son comportement. N\u00e9anmoins, les r\u00e9actions sont douces et je me faufile dans le trafic tout en souplesse. Je constate rapidement que des regards se posent sur la voiture, parfois discrets, ou parfois insistants et intrigu\u00e9s\u00a0: pas de doute, cette Lucid Air fait tourner les t\u00eates\u00a0! Outre son design \u00e9pur\u00e9 et fluide, la voiture, pos\u00e9e au sol, d\u00e9gage quelque chose de myst\u00e9rieux, avec son fin bandeau avant abritant les phares \u00e0 LED matriciels. La subtilit\u00e9 de ce design r\u00e9side dans le fait que m\u00eame avec une apparence singuli\u00e8re et plut\u00f4t futuriste, son origine du Nouveau-Monde est identifiable.<\/p>\n

Le trajet autoroutier jusqu\u2019au T\u00e4gernsee me permet d\u00e9couvrir les diff\u00e9rentes fonctions du v\u00e9hicule et leur facilit\u00e9 d\u2019acc\u00e8s\u00a0: \u00e0 l\u2019exception de certaines fonctions s\u00e9curitaires disposant de leur commande d\u00e9di\u00e9e sur la planche de bord, les autres fonctions sont accessibles simplement via les menus de l\u2019\u00e9cran central. Au-dessus de celui-ci, on trouve quatre boutons physiques commandant la climatisation. Le volant, ovo\u00efde, permet d\u2019offrir un espace suppl\u00e9mentaire aux jambes lors des entr\u00e9es et sorties du v\u00e9hicule. A l\u2019instar de l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, ce volant, visuellement d\u00e9pouill\u00e9, mais dispose des commandes usuelles avec, notamment, deux molettes et une barre horizontale en aluminium bross\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s une reposante nuit \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4tel \u00ab\u00a0Das T\u00e4gernsee\u00a0\u00bb, place aux choses s\u00e9rieuses avec la suite de ce road trip sur les routes de campagne sinueuses du sud de Munich. La travers\u00e9e des for\u00eats met en \u00e9vidence une des sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s de cette Lucid Air\u00a0: son toit panoramique. Disponible dans les versions Touring et Grand Touring (celle dont je viens justement de prendre le volant), le pare-brise vient fusionner avec la partie avant du toit vitr\u00e9, de sorte qu\u2019aucun montant n\u2019est pr\u00e9sent entre la planche de bord et les appuie-t\u00eates. La luminosit\u00e9 naturelle est ainsi d\u00e9cupl\u00e9e et procure de nouvelles sensations aux passagers\u00a0: les cimes des arbres aux abords de la route se d\u00e9placent de l\u2019avant \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, renfor\u00e7ant la sensation de passer au travers du paysage.<\/p>\n
