Ext\u00e9rieurement, la VW Golf GTI Clubsport est une d\u00e9clinaison \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re qui affiche plus de sportivit\u00e9 que la Golf GTI, souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme trop discr\u00e8te. Bouclier avant plus agressif, spoiler arri\u00e8re plus prononc\u00e9, et inscriptions Clubsport au-dessus des bas de caisse marquent le coup. La Peugeot 308 GTi a plus conserv\u00e9 de son \u00e9l\u00e9gance n\u00e9e. Elle se d\u00e9marque principalement par sa teinte \u00ab\u00a0Coupe franche\u00a0\u00bb \u00a0(CHF 2’000.-)\u00a0et ses superbes jantes 19′, alors que l’allemande se contente de jantes 18′ de s\u00e9rie. A l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, les superbes semi-baquets pr\u00e9sents dans notre Golf GTI Clubsport (CHF 1’620.-) et le volant en alcantara permettent \u00e0 cette derni\u00e8re de prendre aussi l’avantage sur la 308 GTi au niveau de la pr\u00e9sentation, m\u00eame si la qualit\u00e9 de finition de la fran\u00e7aise n’a rien \u00e0 envier \u00e0 l\u2019allemande.<\/p>\n

Avec son amortissement r\u00e9glable, la VW Golf GTI Clubsport semble \u00e0 premi\u00e8re vue plus polyvalente. Mais le compromis trouv\u00e9 par Peugeot est assez remarquable\u00a0: le ch\u00e2ssis semble plus ferme que celui de la Golf en mode dur, mais n\u2019est pourtant jamais inconfortable, tandis que dans ce mode la Golf sautille sur les mauvais rev\u00eatements. Alors, voiture bien r\u00e9gl\u00e9e ou voiture bien r\u00e9glable\u00a0? La Peugeot permet \u00e0 son pilote de jouer des transferts de masse gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son train arri\u00e8re joueur, alors que celui de la Golf reste riv\u00e9 au sol. Les deux voitures se sont montr\u00e9es endurantes sur leur freinage, mais sur circuit, on peut imaginer que la Peugeot tirerait mieux son \u00e9pingle du jeu de par son freinage assist\u00e9 par des \u00e9triers fixe \u00e0 4 pistons, alors que la Golf se contente d\u2019\u00e9triers flottants. Elles sont toutes deux \u00e9quip\u00e9es de diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 glissement limit\u00e9 m\u00e9caniques, une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 vu le couple distribu\u00e9 sur les roues avant. En pratique, la Peugeot creuse encore un peu l\u2019\u00e9cart dans ce chapitre avec une efficacit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure, le train avant venant litt\u00e9ralement souder \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la corde lors des relances en sortie de virage.<\/p>\n

Les commandes de bo\u00eete et d\u2019embrayage sont plus fermes dans la 308 Peugeot GTi. Mais dans cette derni\u00e8re, la commande bo\u00eete a tendance \u00e0 accrocher quelque peu lors de certains passages de rapports et son guidage est moins pr\u00e9cis que dans la Golf. La fran\u00e7aise propose un surcro\u00eet de puissance de 5 chevaux, mais l’allemande, elle, re\u00e7oit un bloc de 2.0L alors que la fran\u00e7aise se contente d’un petit 1.6L ! Le moteur de la Golf est donc sans surprise plus coupleux (350 Nm d\u00e8s 1’700 trs\/min contre 330 Nm d\u00e8s 1’900 trs\/min). Sur la route, les deux voitures livrent des prestations assez proches en termes d\u2019agr\u00e9ment, la fran\u00e7aise rattrapant cet \u00e9cart par un poids plus avantageux de pr\u00e8s de 200 kg. Au final, il est difficile de les d\u00e9partager dans ce chapitre.<\/p>\n
