Pour dissiper tout de suite le doute, il convient de pr\u00e9ciser que la ressemblance entre le Subaru BRZ et le Toyota GT86 n\u2019est absolument pas fortuite. Les deux constructeurs nippon ont en effet d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de faire cause commune pour attaquer ce march\u00e9 de niche. Voil\u00e0 pourquoi, mise \u00e0 part quelques d\u00e9tails esth\u00e9tiques, principalement sur la face avant, les deux mod\u00e8les sont de parfaits jumeaux. D\u2019ailleurs le concept de ce coup\u00e9 2+2 n\u2019est pas sans me rappeler au bon souvenir de la fameuse Toyota Celica qui a berc\u00e9 les r\u00eaves de mon adolescence.<\/p>\n
La BRZ propose un style de voiture de sport traditionnelle avec un long capot, un pont arri\u00e8re court, des ailes muscl\u00e9es et naturellement un aileron savamment sculpt\u00e9. Si on y ajoute les superbes jantes en alliage de 17 pouces et un grand diffuseur arri\u00e8re on obtient un coup\u00e9 sportif tr\u00e8s s\u00e9duisant, bien que la monte pneumatique puisse para\u00eetre \u00e9troite surtout \u00e0 l’arri\u00e8re avec des pneus de 215 mm.<\/p>\n

Les baquets rev\u00eatus d\u2019alcantara sont bien renforc\u00e9s. Ils font face \u00e0 un volant d\u00e9garni de toute commande et \u00e0 un immense compte-tours central.<\/p>\n
La qualit\u00e9 des plastiques n\u2019est pas top, mais ce n\u2019est pas r\u00e9ellement ce qu\u2019on recherche dans ce type de v\u00e9hicule. Par contre comment passer sous silence quelques vieilleries, comme la montre digitale identique \u00e0 celle qu\u2019\u00e9quipait la d\u00e9j\u00e0 veille Datsun Cherry de ma maman avec laquelle j\u2019ai appris \u00e0 conduire en 1986 !<\/p>\n

Heureusement, notre voiture d\u2019essai est \u00e9quip\u00e9e de la boite manuelle \u00e0 6 rapports, qui sied bien mieux \u00e0 la philosophie de l\u2019engin que l\u2019optionnelle bo\u00eete automatique avec palettes au volant (CHF 2’000.-).<\/p>\n

Moteur ! Parfaitement install\u00e9 \u00e0 raz du sol, je trouve rapidement une position de conduite id\u00e9ale qui me pr\u00e9dit qu\u2019il va y avoir du sport ! Premi\u00e8re constatation, la Subaru BRZ est tr\u00e8s amusante \u00e0 conduire. Volant, boite de vitesse et toutes les autres commandes de conduites, mise \u00e0 part le frein \u00e0 main un peu trop pr\u00e9sent au niveau du coude, sont id\u00e9alement plac\u00e9es et tombent sous la main. Je me sens imm\u00e9diatement en confiance, d\u2019autant plus que le ch\u00e2ssis et la direction r\u00e9pondent aux sollicitations avec une tr\u00e8s grande pr\u00e9cision. J\u2019augmente le rythme en tirant les rapports jusqu’\u00e0 l\u2019approche de la zone rouge vers 7\u2019000-7’500 trs\/min. Le chant caract\u00e9ristique du flat4 arrive \u00e0 mes oreilles tandis que je me r\u00e9gale de cette boite de vitesse d\u2019une pr\u00e9cision millim\u00e9trique.<\/p>\n

L\u2019association ch\u00e2ssis, boite, direction, frein, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un poids contenu et \u00e0 la propulsion font de la BRZ une v\u00e9ritable machine \u00e0 plaisir. L\u2019\u00e9quilibre est juste parfait si bien que les plus audacieux pourrait souhaiter rapidement plus de cavalerie pour pouvoir g\u00e9rer \u00e0 l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur les d\u00e9rives progressives du train arri\u00e8re. \u00ab Atmo \u00bb oblige, la plage d\u2019utilisation reste limit\u00e9e entre 4’800 et 7’000 trs\/min, mais qu\u2019importe ! C\u2019est un tel plaisir de faire claquer un rapport inf\u00e9rieur et de laisser le moteur s\u2019exprimer tout l\u00e0 haut.<\/p>\n

\nMalgr\u00e9 le choix d’\u00e9quiper la BRZ d’\u00e9triers flottants, le freinage s’est montr\u00e9 efficace et endurant. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 2 boutons situ\u00e9s pr\u00eats de la commande de bo\u00eete de vitesses, il est possible de d\u00e9clencher partiellement ou totalement l’ESP, ce qui s’av\u00e8re parfois utile\u00a0pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d’une conduite sans filtre \u00e0 la limite.<\/p>\n
Il est juste regrettable que le son du boxer ne soit pas plus pr\u00e9sent dans les hauts r\u00e9gimes. Cela augmenterait encore les sensations, d\u2019autant plus que les pneus, qui encaissent sans probl\u00e8me le couple sur les roues arri\u00e8re lors des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations, ont tendance\u00a0\u00e0 produire de bruyants crissements en courbe. B\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d’une taille suppl\u00e9mentaire ne serait pas de trop.<\/p>\n

Cerise sur le g\u00e2teau, elle est propos\u00e9e a un prix raisonnable, d\u00e8s CHF 35’300.-. C\u2019est peu en regard des sensations d\u00e9livr\u00e9es\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n A noter pour conclure que durant les deux semaines de mon essai, j\u2019ai eu droit \u00e0 de grands signes de la part des propri\u00e9taires de Subaru BRZ ou de Toyota GT86 crois\u00e9es sur mon chemin.
