Apr\u00e8s l\u2019essai, il y a presque une ann\u00e9e, de l\u2019Audi S3<\/a>, Sport-Auto.ch prend cette fois le volant de la version la plus excit\u00e9e de la gamme A3 actuelle (8Y), la RS3. L\u2019allure g\u00e9n\u00e9rale reste similaire \u00e0 celle de sa petite soeur, et on ne per\u00e7oit sa vocation plus sportive qu’au travers de petits d\u00e9tails. Face avant plus massive avec une large calandre noire, ailes avant \u00e9largies, parechoc arri\u00e8re redessin\u00e9… La nouvelle couleur de notre mod\u00e8le d\u2019essai, le gris kemora m\u00e9tallis\u00e9 (CHF 920.-), lui conf\u00e8re une allure originale. Les logos RS plac\u00e9s sur le volant et les si\u00e8ges la distinguent de la S3<\/a>. Au vu de la diff\u00e9rence de prix affich\u00e9e, on pourrait l\u00e9gitimement attendre des modifications plus importantes. On regrette les plastiques durs dans les bas de portes ainsi que sur la console centrale. La direction filtre la route et ne parvient pas \u00e0 transmettre les imperfections de la chauss\u00e9e. Vous filez donc \u00e0 vive allure, en toutes circonstances mais\u2026 en toute tranquillit\u00e9. Cela a de quoi surprendre pour un mod\u00e8le RS qui devrait se d\u00e9marquer de la S3<\/a> \u00e0 la vocation plus polyvalente. La voiture est d\u2019une grande efficacit\u00e9 (son chrono de 7\u201941\u2019\u2019 au N\u00fcrburgring en atteste) mais elle est malheureusement avare en sensations.\u00a0<\/p>\n En sortie de virage, une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration (tr\u00e8s) franche permet d\u2019enrouler et former une l\u00e9g\u00e8re d\u00e9rive de l\u2019arri\u00e8re, m\u00eame sans enclencher le mode RS Pire, la bo\u00eete se permet quelques libert\u00e9s si vous roulez sur un rapport d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment \u00e9lev\u00e9 et d\u00e9cidez de peser fortement la p\u00e9dale d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier du couple du 5 cylindres, elle r\u00e9trogradera toute seule. Par ailleurs, au moment d\u2019engager un rapport inf\u00e9rieur, vous aurez syst\u00e9matiquement la t\u00eate qui part vers l\u2019avant\u2026 avant qu\u2019elle ne soit plaqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019appui-t\u00eate par la pouss\u00e9e du moteur. Ce d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ment avait d\u2019ailleurs d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 relev\u00e9 par mon coll\u00e8gue lors de l\u2019essai du RS Q3<\/a>.<\/p>\n Une meilleure coordination moteur\/bo\u00eete permettrait sans doute une conduite plus fluide ainsi qu\u2019une consommation abaiss\u00e9e. Lors de notre essai, la consommation moyenne \u00e9tait l\u00e9g\u00e8rement sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 12 l\/100 km.
