Il y a quelques jours \u00e0 peine, Sport-Auto.ch a \u00e9t\u00e9 convi\u00e9 par Audi \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir et essayer le nouveau TT RS, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9 ce printemps au Beijing Motor Show, en Chine. Quel endroit mieux appropri\u00e9 pour essayer cette bombe qu\u2019un circuit ? C\u2019est donc au circuit de Jarama en Espagne qu\u2019Audi a eu la grande id\u00e9e de nous donner rendez-vous ! Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 quelques encablures de l\u2019a\u00e9roport de Madrid, il a accueilli la Formule 1 jusqu\u2019en 1981. Jug\u00e9 ensuite trop \u00e9troit, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9laiss\u00e9 par la discipline reine. Mais il devrait quand m\u00eame faire l\u2019affaire pour une premi\u00e8re prise en main\u00a0de cette Audi TT RS\u00a0! <\/p>\n

Mon premier choix se porte sur un coup\u00e9 rouge Catalogne. Une fois bien install\u00e9 dans les magnifiques si\u00e8ges cuir \u00e0 surpiqures rouges, j\u2019effectue un bref appui sur le bouton Start situ\u00e9 sur le volant comme dans une Audi R8, pour mettre le contact et configurer le Multi Media Interface (MMI) en fran\u00e7ais. Les boutons pr\u00e9sents sur le volant, ou la molette de la console centrale permettent de naviguer facilement dans les divers menus. Cette derni\u00e8re permet en outre de dessiner avec son doigt les lettres pour par exemple rentrer une destination dans le GPS. Afin de bien pouvoir profiter des nombreuses belles routes et des paysages qui entourent l\u2019endroit, Audi nous a concoct\u00e9 2 parcours \u00e0 choix de 80 et 110 km. Ils sont configur\u00e9s dans le GPS. La carte avec images satellite s\u2019affiche au milieu du Virtual Cockpit qui me fait face. Sur cet \u00e9cran de 12.3 pouces, les informations telles que vitesse et compte-tour se font au choix toutes petites pour laisser une large place \u00e0 la carte routi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

La navigation m\u2019indique la sortie d\u2019autoroute, et me dirige vers des routes sinueuses, longeant les nombreuses collines de la r\u00e9gion. A la premi\u00e8re vraie acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration je prends conscience que les 400ch annonc\u00e9s sont bel et bien l\u00e0. La facilit\u00e9 de prise en main, malgr\u00e9 la puissance, est d\u00e9concertante. L\u2019excellent ch\u00e2ssis, abaiss\u00e9 de 10 mm par rapport aux autres mod\u00e8les de la gamme, r\u00e9agi \u00e0 merveille, bien aid\u00e9 en cela par le poids contenu de 1\u2019440 kg (- 35 kg par rapport \u00e0 son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur), et me permet d\u2019encha\u00eener les courbes \u00e0 un rythme soutenu sans jamais craindre la perde de ma\u00eetrise. La direction, rendue plus r\u00e9active que sur la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, ne souffre d\u2019aucune impr\u00e9cision. Le moteur, plein d\u00e8s les plus bas r\u00e9gimes, fait des merveilles, et la bo\u00eete double embrayage S-Tronic (unique transmission disponible) est juste parfaite, tant dans son \u00e9tagement que dans son comportement. Les p\u00e9tarades de l\u2019\u00e9chappement aux changements de rapport nous poussent \u00e0 utiliser les palettes pour les passer le plus souvent possible. Difficile pour le moment de lui trouver des d\u00e9fauts.<\/p>\n

Ici le Virtual Cockpit est en mode Sport, avec au centre le compte-tour qui fait office de Shift Light, passant au orange et au rouge lors de l\u2019approche du dernier moment pour passer le rapport suivant. Totalement immersif\u00a0! Le premier tour de piste se fait derri\u00e8re la pace-car, avant de se voir libre durant une dizaine de tours. <\/p>\n

Le circuit \u00e9tant assez sinueux et comportant de nombreux virages serr\u00e9s, les pneus Pirelli P-Zero, qui \u00e9taient irr\u00e9prochables lors de l\u2019essai routier, m\u00eame sur quelques portions humides, montrent ici leurs limites. Apr\u00e8s quelques tours, ils surchauffent et manquent cruellement de grip. Afin de tirer pleinement profit des qualit\u00e9s du ch\u00e2ssis dans ces conditions, il faudrait se tourner vers des pneus semi-slick. Les freins en c\u00e9ramique qui \u00e9quipaient mon exemplaire d\u2019essai sont par contre eux exempts de tout reproche, si ce n\u2019est leur prix (inconnu \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle).<\/p>\n
Restait \u00e0 tester la fonction Launch Control, vu que la ligne droite du circuit y \u00e9tait sp\u00e9cialement d\u00e9volue. Avec un 0-100 km\/h annonc\u00e9 en 3.7 secondes, l\u2019exercice promet d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9prouvant\u2026 Pied sur le frein puis gaz \u00e0 fond, le r\u00e9gime se stabilise \u00e0 3\u2019500 trs\/min. Je retire mon pied gauche et bang, la voiture part comme un boulet de canon sans perte de motricit\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce au travail admirable de la transmission Quattro !<\/p>\n

Pour finir la journ\u00e9e en beaut\u00e9, je repars pour un tour de la r\u00e9gion, cette fois en roadster gris Nardo. Avec ses 1\u2019530 kg, la cure d\u2019amaigrissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 moins prolifique que sur le coup\u00e9 (- 5 kg). Mais la rapidit\u00e9 d\u2019ouverture de la capote en toile (10 secondes seulement) ainsi que la possibilit\u00e9 de la d\u00e9ployer en roulant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 50 km\/h me r\u00e9concilient avec les d\u00e9capotables, sans parler du plaisir auditif procur\u00e9 ! Niveau rigidit\u00e9 du ch\u00e2ssis, sur route ouverte il semble impossible de sentir une diff\u00e9rence par rapport au coup\u00e9.<\/p>\n
