Pour les moins de 20 ans, le nom Ford Puma ne rappellera surement rien. Pour les autres, impossible de ne pas penser \u00e0 la concurrente de l\u2019Opel Tigra apparue en 1997. Etonnant que Ford ait r\u00e9utilis\u00e9 ce nom pour son crossover sportif ! Vous avez bien lu, crossover SPORTIF. Mais bon, ils ont bien utilis\u00e9 le nom Mustang pour le mod\u00e8le 100% \u00e9lectrique nomm\u00e9 Mustang Mach-E\u2026 Bient\u00f4t le retour des Escort, Cougar et autres Cortina ?<\/p>\n

Avec sa teinte verte Furious m\u00e9tallis\u00e9e (CHF 1’300.-) ponctu\u00e9e de notes de noir brillant, notre Puma ST ne passe pas inaper\u00e7ue. Bien camp\u00e9e sur ses jantes de 19 pouces, je dois avouer que son design est plut\u00f4t bien r\u00e9ussi. Alliant une garde au sol sur\u00e9lev\u00e9e, avec des passages de roues \u00e9largis, une calandre en nid d\u2019abeille, et un aileron prolongeant le toit, la Puma se la joue sportive, sans tomber dans la d\u00e9mesure comme les asiatiques Honda Civic Type R<\/a> et Toyota GR Yaris<\/a>. Mais sa lame avant sigl\u00e9e Ford Performance annonce la couleur.<\/p>\n

Parcourir les routes de montagne \u00e0 son volant est un r\u00e9el plaisir. Son ch\u00e2ssis ferme, m\u00eame certainement trop ferme pour une utilisation quotidienne, aurait n\u00e9anmoins m\u00e9rit\u00e9 des amortisseurs pilot\u00e9s. Le train avant est pr\u00e9cis, et son homologue arri\u00e8re est joueur. Il permettra d\u2019amorcer de jolies d\u00e9rives, et de lever la patte int\u00e9rieure dans les \u00e9pingles, comme le faisaient les Golf 1 GTI.\u00a0 D\u2019ailleurs, niveau plaisir de conduite, malgr\u00e9 son gabarit bien diff\u00e9rent, on pourrait la comparer \u00e0 une petite GTI. On peut prendre du plaisir, sans devoir atteindre des vitesses trop r\u00e9pr\u00e9hensibles. Il faudra par contre garder un peu de r\u00e9serve dans les descentes, les disques de 315 mm ne pouvant pas faire de miracles dans les longues descentes de cols, pour freiner les presque 1’358 kg de la b\u00eate.<\/p>\n
