La KTM X-Bow (prononcez Cross-Bow) est l\u2019une des voitures les plus extr\u00eames \u00e0 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une homologation pour la route en Suisse. Son excellent rapport poids-puissance lui conf\u00e8re des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations de supercar qui justifieraient \u00e0 elles seules le prix d\u2019un peu plus de CHF 100’000.- qui est demand\u00e9 pour un X-Bow R de 300 ch. Si nous restons relativement vagues sur le prix, c\u2019est que la KTM X-Bow est construite \u00e0 tr\u00e8s peu d\u2019unit\u00e9s par le constructeur de motos autrichien KTM (une centaine par ann\u00e9e) et que le tarif d\u00e9pend aussi bien du cours de l\u2019euro que des diff\u00e9rentes options choisies.<\/p>\n

\u00abJe n\u2019ai pas les moyens de me payer une voiture d\u2019une valeur \u00e0 six chiffres et ne souhaite pas effectuer des centaines de kilom\u00e8tres pour me rendre sur un circuit \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger\u00bb<\/em>, nous a confi\u00e9 le participant fribourgeois qui \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent pour la septi\u00e8me fois \u00e0 un tel cours. \u00abDu coup, les cours que le TCS propose sur le circuit de Ligni\u00e8res avec ses propres KTM X-Bow suffisent largement \u00e0 mon bonheur. On rappellera que ce dr\u00f4le d\u2019engin a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par le constructeur italien Dallara dont l\u2019expertise en mati\u00e8re de voitures aptes \u00e0 enthousiasmer les sportifs les plus exigeants n\u2019est plus \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer. La KTM X-Bow est \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019un moteur quatre cylindres 2.0L turbo Audi qui d\u00e9veloppe 300 ch et qui est bien connu de l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019essai de Sport-Auto.ch. Il \u00e9quipe en effet de nombreux mod\u00e8les survitamin\u00e9s du groupe Volkswagen : Seat Leon Cupra ST<\/a>, VW Golf R<\/a>, Cupra Formentor VZ<\/a> ainsi que, bien entendu, Audi S3<\/a> pour n\u2019en citer que quelques-unes.<\/p>\n

Mais la comparaison s\u2019arr\u00eate l\u00e0\u00a0: la KTM X-Bow ne pesant que 790 kg, ses 300 ch lui permettent d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer comme une balle! Il ne lui faut ainsi que 3,9 secondes pour passer de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h. Quant aux reprises, elles sont instantan\u00e9es et distillent un v\u00e9ritable plaisir de conduite. Cela m\u00eame \u00e0 ceux qui n\u2019ont que peu d\u2019exp\u00e9rience. Le Genevois Dilhan Schluchter, un des participants pr\u00e9sents lors de notre cours, n\u2019avait par exemple son permis de conduire que depuis le d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e!<\/p>\n

Avant de participer \u00e0 ce cours du TCS, Dilhan Schluchter nourrissait cependant deux craintes, toutefois rapidement dissip\u00e9es : \u00abJe craignais que j\u2019aurais \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9troit dans l\u2019habitacle, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que je mesure 1,86 m, mais cela n\u2019a finalement pas \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas. Gr\u00e2ce au p\u00e9dalier et au volant qui sont tous les deux r\u00e9glables sur la KTM X-Bow, j\u2019\u00e9tais tr\u00e8s bien install\u00e9. Je conseillerais ainsi 1000 fois ce cours, ne serait-ce que pour s\u2019installer une fois dans une coque en carbone\u00bb<\/em>, nous a encore confi\u00e9 Dilhan Schluchter.<\/p>\n

Sa seconde crainte \u00e9tait que le circuit de Ligni\u00e8res \u00e9tant relativement petit, il ne pourrait pas a priori procurer des sensations de vitesse dignes de ce nom. \u00abOr cela n\u2019a gu\u00e8re \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas. La piste de Ligni\u00e8res n\u2019est certes pas tr\u00e8s grande mais je trouve qu\u2019elle convient parfaitement \u00e0 cette voiture. J\u2019ai eu ainsi vraiment beaucoup de plaisir \u00e0 y tourner avec la KTM X-Bow\u00bb<\/em>, a-t-il pr\u00e9cis\u00e9. Ici aussi, il s\u2019agit d\u2019un avis que nous partageons pleinement. Si cette piste nous avait quelque peu laiss\u00e9s sur notre faim lors des essais des Nissan GT-R<\/a> (570 ch pour 1\u2019827 kg) et Audi RS e-tron GT<\/a> (598 ch pour 2\u2019323 kg), il n\u2019en a rien \u00e9t\u00e9 avec la KTM X-Bow qui est aussi \u00e0 l\u2019aise \u00e0 Ligni\u00e8res qu\u2019un poisson dans l\u2019eau!<\/p>\n

La l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 du petit bolide autrichien qui, rappelons-le ne p\u00e8se que 790 kg, nous a par ailleurs permis d\u2019atteindre plus de 150 km\/h au bout de la ligne de droite et de n\u00e9gocier les diff\u00e9rentes courbes de la piste neuch\u00e2teloise avec un plaisir sans cesse renouvel\u00e9. Bien cal\u00e9 dans la coque en carbone, assis pratiquement au niveau du sol, nous avions vraiment l\u2019impression de faire corps avec la voiture. L\u2019absence de direction assist\u00e9e et le vent qui s\u2019\u00e9crase sur le casque avec davantage d\u2019intensit\u00e9 au fur et \u00e0 mesure que la vitesse augmente nous ont procur\u00e9 des sensations que nous n\u2019avions ressenties qu\u2019au volant d\u2019une Dallara de F3 \u00e0 Hockenheim ou d\u2019une Formule Renault \u00e0 Estoril!<\/p>\n
