Ne confondez pas RWD et RWS\u00a0! Apr\u00e8s l\u2019engouement g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 par la s\u00e9rie limit\u00e9e de 999 R<\/strong>ear-W<\/strong>heel-S<\/strong>eries, Audi a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re permanente une R8 propulsion \u00e0 sa gamme, la R<\/strong>ear-W<\/strong>heel-D<\/strong>rive. Une exception dans la gamme du constructeur d\u2019Ingolstadt, dont tous les autres mod\u00e8les sportifs sont dot\u00e9s de la transmission quattro. Avec son V10 atmosph\u00e9rique en position centrale, elle est plus proche de sa cousine italienne (Lamborghini Huracan) que de ses s\u0153urs aux 4 anneaux.<\/p>\n

A l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur, comme une Porsche 911<\/a>, elle a su \u00e9voluer aux fils des ann\u00e9es, tout en restant reconnaissable au premier coup d\u2019\u0153il. Le pare-chocs avant est largement ajour\u00e9, tout comme son homologue arri\u00e8re, qui laisse entrevoir la ligne d\u2019\u00e9chappement. Cette derni\u00e8re re\u00e7oit deux sorties oblongues aux dimensions caricaturales. En version Spyder, le capot arri\u00e8re est plus long que le capot avant, ce qui rend sa silhouette atypique, surtout d\u00e9capot\u00e9e. Les jantes bronze en 20 pouces (CHF 2600.-) se marient parfaitement \u00e0 la teinte Brun Argus effet mat, surtout lorsque le soleil fait ressortir des reflets dor\u00e9s. Une option Audi Exclusive factur\u00e9e tout de m\u00eame CHF 7’160.- !<\/p>\n

Il faudra par contre d\u00e9bourser plus de CHF 10’000.- pour les diff\u00e9rentes options pr\u00e9sentes (pack cuir \u00e9tendu, coutures contrast\u00e9es, cuir fin avec losanges, si\u00e8ges \u00e9lectriques, etc.). Pour moi, seuls les si\u00e8ges baquets pr\u00e9sents sur le mod\u00e8le Performance quattro essay\u00e9 l\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e<\/a> manquent \u00e0 l\u2019appel. Contrairement \u00e0 la mode actuelle, aucun \u00e9cran central, juste le Virtual Cockpit en place des compteurs qui regroupe toutes les informations utiles. On peut le piloter par la molette centrale, ou par les commandes au volant. La climatisation se commande par trois boutons munis de petits \u00e9crans. Simple, fonctionnel et efficace : pas besoin de plus !<\/p>\n

A la pression sur le bouton Start, plac\u00e9 au volant, mieux vaut ne pas avoir de voisin trop sensible. Au d\u00e9marrage les clapets d\u2019\u00e9chappement sont ouverts, et un coup de gaz est automatiquement donn\u00e9. Le r\u00e9gime moteur reste une dizaine de secondes assez \u00e9lev\u00e9 avant de se positionner au ralenti, et de refermer les clapets. Bref, un peu too much, et \u00e0 \u00e9viter le dimanche matin dans un cartier r\u00e9sidentiel. De nos jours et compte tenu de la technologie actuelle, un d\u00e9marrage discret devrait pouvoir \u00eatre s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9, comme sur l\u2019Aston Martin DB11<\/a> par exemple.<\/p>\n

Alors disons le tout de suite, l\u2019option Bang et Olufsen \u00e0 CHF 2480.- (incluant des haut-parleurs dans les appuie-t\u00eates) peut \u00eatre ray\u00e9e de la carte, pas besoin de sono ! Difficile \u00e0 croire qu\u2019elle n\u2019a \u00ab que \u00bb 540 ch. Audi a baiss\u00e9 la puissance du V10 pour cette version \u00e0 deux roues motrices. La R8 quattro d\u00e9veloppe 570 ch et 620 ch pour le mod\u00e8le Performance. Malgr\u00e9 \u00e7a, je n\u2019ai jamais eu l\u2019impression de manquer de puissance. De toute fa\u00e7on, sur route ouverte, il est impossible d\u2019exploiter le potentiel de cet engin sans risquer la prison. Pour cela, une vir\u00e9e sur les autobahn allemandes compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par quelques tours du Ring serait \u00e0 programmer lors de tels essais.<\/p>\n

Et niveau comportement me direz-vous ? Tout en restant confortable, elle offre une tenue de cap exemplaire. Son train avant est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis, m\u00eame s’il faut s’habituer au peu de remont\u00e9es d\u2019information. Dans les \u00e9pingles, il faudra par contre imp\u00e9rativement d\u00e9connecter l\u2019ESP, trop castrateur, si vous d\u00e9sirez avoir l’entier contr\u00f4le sur la b\u00eate. M\u00eame en 305\/30R20, les pneus arri\u00e8re ont fort \u00e0 faire, et l\u2019\u00e9lectronique intervient avant la moindre amorce de glisse. Une fois lib\u00e9r\u00e9e de toute b\u00e9quille \u00e9lectronique, cette R8 RWD se montre nettement plus joueuse que la version quattro <\/a>qui vise surtout l’efficacit\u00e9. Le freinage, constitu\u00e9 de disques de freins \u00ab Wave \u00bb, en acier, est tr\u00e8s efficace. Il propose un bon mordant et est faciles \u00e0 doser. Tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent du feeling propos\u00e9 par les carbon-ceramic de la McLaren GT<\/a> essay\u00e9e en m\u00eame temps.<\/p>\n

Rapide et douce, elle fait oublier la catastrophique bo\u00eete des premi\u00e8res Audi R8. Pass\u00e9e en mode manuel, elle permet de garder le contr\u00f4le complet sur les changements de rapports, ce qui n\u2019est parfois plus le cas sur certaines sportives de rang inf\u00e9rieur. Et heureusement, le kick down ne la fera pas r\u00e9trograder (on peut d\u2019ailleurs se poser la question de la pertinence d\u2019une p\u00e9dale \u00e0 double but\u00e9e sur une supercar).<\/p>\n
