Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en 2015, la Jaguar F-Pace a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019une importante mise \u00e0 jour pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e-mod\u00e8le 2021. Si le restylage de la carrosserie peut \u00eatre qualifi\u00e9 de l\u00e9ger, avec de nouveaux boucliers et de nouvelles signatures lumineuses aussi bien \u00e0 l\u2019avant qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, les principales nouveaut\u00e9s concernent l\u2019habitacle et les motorisations. Ces derni\u00e8res font en effet appel pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 des groupes hybrides rechargeables ou MHEV, \u00e0 savoir micro-hybrides, comme celui de la Jaguar F-Pace P400 de notre essai.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parmi les nouvelles versions hybrides rechargeables et MHEV, les versions les plus puissantes sont la F-Pace P400e et la P400. Si la premi\u00e8re est propuls\u00e9e par un 2.0L turbo 4 cylindres de 300ch accoupl\u00e9 \u00e0 un moteur \u00e9lectrique de 143 ch pour une puissance combin\u00e9e de 404 ch, la P400 dispose d\u2019un 3.0L 6 cylindres turbo de 400 ch MHEV. Ces quatre derni\u00e8res lettres signifient Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle et qualifient un syst\u00e8me proche du \u00abstart and stop\u00bb mais en plus \u00e9labor\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le MHEV s\u2019appuie sur un g\u00e9n\u00e9rateur qui recueille l\u2019\u00e9nergie dispers\u00e9e au freinage. Celle-ci est alors stock\u00e9e dans une batterie lithium-ion de 48 V avant d\u2019\u00eatre r\u00e9utilis\u00e9e pour assister le moteur. Il ne s\u2019agit donc pas d\u2019un syst\u00e8me hybride rechargeable comme celui qui permet \u00e0 la F-Pace P400e de parcourir une cinquantaine de kilom\u00e8tres en mode 100% \u00e9lectrique. Le MHEV poss\u00e8de cependant l\u2019avantage de ne provoquer pratiquement pas de vibrations au d\u00e9marrage et d\u2019abaisser la consommation de 2% \u00e0 10% en fonction des trajets.<\/p>\n

Le bloc de notre F-Pace P400 d\u2019essai est certes moins puissant que celui de la F-Pace SVR<\/a> (400 ch au lieu de 550 ch) essay\u00e9e il y a deux ans, mais il s\u2019av\u00e8re beaucoup plus sobre. Dot\u00e9 d\u2019un compresseur \u00e9lectrique \u00e9paul\u00e9 par un turbo \u00e0 double entr\u00e9e, il allie des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations largement suffisantes (0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en 5,4 secondes) \u00e0 une soif relativement mod\u00e9r\u00e9e de quelque 10 l\/100km (9,8 l\/100km de moyenne selon Jaguar pour le cycle WPLT et 10,3 l\/100km de moyenne pendant notre essai).<\/p>\n

Un autre reproche relev\u00e9 il y a deux ans \u00e9tait que l\u2019habitacle \u00e9tait \u00abun peu d\u00e9mod\u00e9\u00bb. Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 parfaitement corrig\u00e9 dans le F-Pace MY2021. L\u2019op\u00e9ration de chirurgie esth\u00e9tique n\u2019a ainsi pas seulement concern\u00e9 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur, avec les ailes avant qui arborent d\u00e9sormais la silhouette d\u2019un jaguar bondissant et une nouvelle proue avec signature lumineuse \u00e0 deux \u00abJ\u00bb, mais \u00e9galement l\u2019int\u00e9rieur avec un habitacle luxueux, \u00e0 la finition irr\u00e9prochable, et un nouvel \u00e9cran tactile de 11,4 pouces en verre incurv\u00e9.<\/p>\n
