Depuis toujours, Rolls-Royce se place sur l\u2019Olympe de l\u2019automobile de luxe. Au point que certains clients sont plus r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement conduits que conducteurs eux-m\u00eames. C\u2019est une Rolls-Royce Dawn \u00ab\u00a0Black Badge\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019un moteur V12 d\u00e9veloppant 600ch que nous avons eu le privil\u00e8ge d\u2019essayer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A en croire les responsables de Rolls-Royce, les versions \u00ab\u00a0Black Badge\u00a0\u00bb, disponibles \u00e9galement sur les mod\u00e8les Ghost (berline), Wraith (coup\u00e9) et Cullinan (SUV), s\u2019adressent \u00e0 ceux qui rejettent le conformisme et appr\u00e9cient la sportivit\u00e9. Ce qui est certain, c\u2019est que la marque compte sur ces versions pour rajeunir sa client\u00e8le.<\/p>\n

Dans les versions \u00ab Black Badge \u00bb, la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre calandre inspir\u00e9e du Parth\u00e9non d\u2019Ath\u00e8nes et la mascotte Spirit of Ecstasy, ne sont plus argent\u00e9es mais noires. Il s\u2019agit ici d\u2019un noir chrom\u00e9 qui n\u00e9cessite l\u2019application de six couches de vernis avant un polissage minutieux pour l\u2019obtention d\u2019un rendu miroir du plus bel effet. Notons encore que la Dawn \u00ab Black Badge \u00bb est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus puissante que la version standard. Le V12 6.6 bi-turbo gagne 29 ch et 120 Nm pour un total de 600 ch et 900 Nm. La marque n\u2019a en revanche pas communiqu\u00e9 sur une \u00e9ventuelle augmentation des performances, le 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h \u00e9tant toujours annonc\u00e9 \u00e0 4,9 secondes.<\/p>\n

Si la pluie a quelque peu perturb\u00e9 notre premi\u00e8re s\u00e9ance photos, elle nous a permis de constater que la Dawn \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement silencieuse. Cela n\u2019est pas une nouveaut\u00e9 pour une Rolls-Royce. Il y a 50 ans, Serge Gainsbourg \u00e9voquait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00ab le poste de radio qui couvrait le silence du moteur \u00bb dans son album Melody Nelson.<\/p>\n

Nous ne nous \u00e9tonnons pas du silence du V12, dont l\u2019absence de vibrations permet d\u2019y faire tenir debout une pi\u00e8ce de cinq francs, mais bien du silence des projections d\u2019eau dans les passages de roue alors que nous roulons pourtant \u00e0 120 km\/h. Aucun bruit. Rien. Ni le mouvement des essuie-glaces, ni le toit, ni les pneus n\u2019\u00e9mettent un quelconque son. L\u2019impression de se d\u00e9placer sur un tapis volant est ici \u00e0 son comble. Un coup d\u2019\u0153il dans les passages de roue nous permet de d\u00e9couvrir une \u00e9paisse mousse d\u2019isolation phonique !<\/p>\n
