Il y a quelques semaines, nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir approcher en premi\u00e8re mondiale la Honda Civic Type R FK8 Limited Edition<\/a>, v\u00e9ritable Type R orient\u00e9e circuit. Cette d\u00e9couverte s\u2019est effectu\u00e9e dans les locaux secrets de J.A.S Motorsport, le fameux pr\u00e9parateur des Civic Type R FK8 TCR tournant actuellement dans les multiples championnats \u00e9ponymes. Nous ne pouvions bien s\u00fbr par repartir de ces lieux sans y avoir fait une visite guid\u00e9e exclusive. L\u2019histoire de J.A.S Motorsport commence en 1995 avec la cr\u00e9ation de cette \u00e9curie de course italienne. Bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Milan, l\u2019\u00e9quipe commence la comp\u00e9tition en 1996 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d\u2019Alfa Romeo avec la mythique 155 V6 TI dans le championnat international de voitures de tourisme, remportant une victoire \u00e0 Silverstone avec un fameux Gabriele Tarquini au volant. L\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, c\u2019est dans le Super Touren Wagen-Cup que l\u2019\u00e9quipe italienne participe avec l\u2019Alfa Romeo 155 TS. Cette seconde ann\u00e9e ne portera pas ses fruits avec au mieux une septi\u00e8me place \u00e0 l\u2019Hockenheimring en d\u00e9but de saison.<\/p>\n

J.A.S se tourne vers le constructeur japonais Honda pour la saison 1998, et en deviendra le constructeur officiel des voitures de toursime de comp\u00e9tition. Et cette liaison ne cessera de durer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce jour. Commen\u00e7ant en Super Tourenwagen Cup, puis en European Touring Car Championship, c\u2019est finalement avec l\u2019av\u00e8nement du WTCC que la petite \u00e9quipe italienne va pouvoir se forger un renom mondial. Les d\u00e9buts se feront sur des Honda Accord pour tr\u00e8s vite passer \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration et l\u2019optimisation de Civic Type R pour le circuit.<\/p>\n

En 10 ans, l\u2019\u00e9quipe va amasser plus de 25 victoires et leur Honda Civic Type R TCR va m\u00eame \u00eatre \u00e9lue voiture TCR de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2019 par les organisateurs du championnat. Actuellement, l\u2019entreprise compte 55 employ\u00e9s et tout est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 de A \u00e0 Z en interne. De la conception de pi\u00e8ces, \u00e0 la fabrication et le montage final, les ateliers de J.A.S Motorsport produisent entre 4 et 6 voitures de comp\u00e9tition par mois, actuellement des Civic Type R FK8 TCR. Lors de la visite, Mads Fischer le business manager, a bien assist\u00e9 sur le point que l\u2019entreprise souhaitait pouvoir garder son esprit \u00ab\u00a0familial\u00a0\u00bb, tout en pouvant r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 tout type de demande de projets.<\/p>\n

Comme des troph\u00e9es, J.A.S Motorsport gardent quelques une de leurs voitures les plus couronn\u00e9es et mythiques depuis leur d\u00e9but. V\u00e9ritable hall of fame, on y retrouve les meilleures Honda de course. La visite se poursuit, accompagn\u00e9 du pilote officiel de l\u2019\u00e9quipe Honda WTCR, Tiago Monteiro, avec un passage par le bureau d\u2019\u00e9tude et les ateliers qui ne ch\u00f4ment pas. Pr\u00e8s d\u2019une quinzaine de m\u00e9caniciens s\u2019att\u00e8lent \u00e0 la t\u00e2che de la modification de ces Civic FK8 Type R. J.A.S Motorsport assure tout de A \u00e0 Z, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la maintenance de ces diff\u00e9rents v\u00e9hicules.<\/p>\n

Depuis 2018, J.A.S Motorsport produit aussi la version GT3 de comp\u00e9tition de la Honda NSX. Nous l\u2019avions d\u2019ailleurs d\u00e9couverte en avant-premi\u00e8re en ao\u00fbt 2017 lors des 24h de Spa-Francorchamps<\/a>, au terme d\u2019un roadtrip qui nous avait conduit de Lausanne \u00e0 Spa-Francorchamps \u00e0 bord d\u2019une Honda NSX\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0de route\u00a0\u00bb<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Durant cette visite exclusive des locaux, nous avons pu admirer la derni\u00e8re version GT3 Evo qui laisse sans voix. Sa robe tout en carbone est sublime. C\u00f4t\u00e9 specifications, le fameux V6 3,5L bi-turbo est toujours pr\u00e9sent avec ses 500 chevaux mais les moteurs \u00e9lectriques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9s. Le poids passe donc de 1’776 kg \u00e0 1’240 kg, de quoi \u00e9conomiser plus d\u2019une demie tonne ! Cette journ\u00e9e haute en couleur s’ach\u00e8ve donc par le nec plus ultra de la collaboration entre Honda et J.A.S Motorsport en mati\u00e8re de conception, r\u00e9alisation et produit fini. Le retour en Suisse s’effectuera avec plein de souvenirs en t\u00eate et une certaine h\u00e2te de pouvoir prendre le volant de la nouvelle Civic Type R FK8 Limited Edition<\/a>.<\/p>\n
