Plus de 50 ans apr\u00e8s son lancement, il est toujours aussi magique de d\u00e9couvrir une nouvelle Porsche 911, qui chaque fois se veut plus performante et plus sobre que sa devanci\u00e8re, sans perde une once de sa polyvalence. Gr\u00e2ce aux 20 ch suppl\u00e9mentaires, celle-ci se permet d\u2019abattre le 0-100 km\/h en 3.9 secondes, soit 2 dixi\u00e8mes de moins que sa devanci\u00e8re, et d\u2019atteindre une vitesse maximale de 308 km\/h (+ 4 km\/h). \nGr\u00e2ce au Centre Porsche Lausanne<\/a>, j\u2019ai eu la chance de pouvoir essayer successivement les 991 Carrera S phase 1 et 2, toutes deux dot\u00e9es de la bo\u00eete PDK \u00e0 7 rapports sur les seules roues arri\u00e8re, afin de mieux cerner leurs diff\u00e9rences. Ext\u00e9rieurement, de multiples modifications permettent facilement d\u2019identifier la nouvelle venue. Mais comme il fallait qu\u2019elle soit encore plus performante que sa devanci\u00e8re, il sembla alors naturel de c\u00e9der \u00e0 la tentation de la suralimentation. Mais rassurez-vous ! Contrairement au Boxster 718, la 911 est toujours \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019un moteur \u00e0 6 cylindres \u00e0 plat \u00ab boxer \u00bb, dont la cylindr\u00e9e se monte \u00e0 3.0 litres sur les deux versions (370 ch pour la Carrera et 420 ch pour la Carrera S). procurent des sonorit\u00e9s moins enivrantes que celles des moteurs atmosph\u00e9riques, ces derniers procurant des mont\u00e9es en r\u00e9gimes \u00e0 la fois moins lin\u00e9aires et plus lyriques\u00a0! Malgr\u00e9 tout le travail qu\u2019a pu faire Porsche sur la sonorit\u00e9, la 991 phase 2 ne d\u00e9roge pas \u00e0 la r\u00e8gle\u00a0: elle ne peut voler la vedette \u00e0 sa grande s\u0153ur lors des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations, sa sonorit\u00e9 \u00e9tant moins expressive et moins aigu\u00eb dans les tours. Cependant, il est important de relever que le bruit du turbo est peu audible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la sonorit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement bien travaill\u00e9e de l’\u00e9chappement sport. Pour profiter de ce dernier, il faudra d\u00e9bourser pas moins de CHF 3’180.-, qui viennent s’ajouter au prix de base de CHF 133’600 pour cette Carrera S. A la mise en route et\u00a0au ralenti, c\u2019est la phase 2 qui a le plus de voix, avec une sonorit\u00e9 plus pr\u00e9sente et\u00a0moins \u00e9touff\u00e9e que celle de la phase 1.<\/p>\n Dans les conditions de trafic normales, la phase 2 se distingue rapidement part de meilleures reprises \u00e0 bas et mis r\u00e9gimes gr\u00e2ce au couple cons\u00e9quent de 500 Nm d\u00e8s 1’700 trs\/min. Un tr\u00e8s bon point : l\u2019agr\u00e9ment de conduite ne souffre pas d\u2019un temps de r\u00e9ponse trop long comme c\u2019est parfois le cas avec les moteurs suraliment\u00e9s. Le rupteur en revanche, est plac\u00e9 un peu plus t\u00f4t, soit \u00e0 7\u2019500 trs\/min (7\u2019800 trs\/min sur la phase 1). Plus pratique, la commande permettant de changer de mode de conduite est d\u00e9sormais plac\u00e9e sur le volant (pack sport Chrono, CHF 2’540.-). Equip\u00e9e de ce dispositif, notre voiture de test m\u2019a permis de go\u00fbter pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 cette exp\u00e9rience qui se veut presque d\u00e9routante sur les premi\u00e8res courbes abord\u00e9es \u00e0 vive allure. Lorsqu\u2019on tourne le volant et que la voiture commence \u00e0 s\u2019inscrire en virage, on sent le train arri\u00e8re participer de mani\u00e8re active \u00e0 la man\u0153uvre, aidant la voiture \u00e0 tourner mieux, plus vite, avec moins de sous-virage, et de mani\u00e8re plus incisive. On peut donc se permettre de retarder l\u00e9g\u00e8rement le point de braquage. Alors que l’efficacit\u00e9 augmente, le ressenti n’est ni moins bon ni meilleur, mais simplement diff\u00e9rent. Personnellement il me serait difficile de faire mon choix entre ce syst\u00e8me et\u00a0une direction classique, mais en tous les cas la comparaison m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre faite avant de signer le bon de commande. Face \u00e0 la phase 1, difficile de cerner une quelconque diff\u00e9rence au volant vu la temp\u00e9rature et la monte pneumatique hivernales, mais m\u00eame ainsi, les vitesses de passage en courbe sont rapidement r\u00e9pr\u00e9hensibles et l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 en appui toujours impressionnante. Au passage, il est \u00e0 noter que le ch\u00e2ssis adaptatif PASM est maintenant de s\u00e9rie sur toutes les 911. Au niveau des transferts de masses, on retrouve cette tendance au sous-virage et cet effet sac-\u00e0-dos du \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement du moteur en porte-\u00e0-faux arri\u00e8re, bien que ces traits de caract\u00e8res aient \u00e9t\u00e9 gomm\u00e9s au fils du temps et soient moins marqu\u00e9s que sur les 911 d\u2019antan. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son couple sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 bas r\u00e9gimes, elle est encore plus agr\u00e9able au quotidien, sans pour autant \u00eatre moins int\u00e9ressante en conduite dynamique gr\u00e2ce aux nouveaut\u00e9s que sont les roues directionnelles arri\u00e8re ou encore la molette de s\u00e9lecteur de mode sur le volant dot\u00e9e du bouton \u00ab\u00a0Sport Response Button\u00a0\u00bb. Enfin, les nombreuses modifications esth\u00e9tiques tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussies la d\u00e9marquent facilement de sa grande s\u0153ur et la placent plus comme une r\u00e9elle nouveaut\u00e9 qu\u2019une simple mise \u00e0 jour.
