Apr\u00e8s les mod\u00e8les Q5 et Q3 dont le succ\u00e8s n’est plus \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer, Audi a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en 2016 le Q2, SUV compact mesurant moins de 4,2 m. Nous avons pris le volant de la version la plus sportive SQ2 apparue en octobre 2018. Peut-elle rivaliser avec les sportives du groupe munies du m\u00eame moteur 2.0L turbo de 300 ch ? \u00c9l\u00e9ments de r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n

Au milieu d\u2019un march\u00e9 o\u00f9 la plupart des voitures prennent de l\u2019embonpoint, l\u2019Audi Q2 semble aller \u00e0 contre-courant. Son gabarit compact et son style cun\u00e9iforme apportent un brin de fra\u00eecheur au sein de la gamme Audi. Si la calandre Singleframe octogonale r\u00e9v\u00e8le imm\u00e9diatement ses origines, les phares avant et arri\u00e8re ne pr\u00e9sentent pas vraiment de similitude avec les autres mod\u00e8les Audi actuels. L\u2019arri\u00e8re me fait d\u2019ailleurs davantage penser \u00e0 la r\u00e9cente Volkswagen Polo qu\u2019\u00e0 une Audi !<\/p>\n

Habituellement, le rouge ne sied gu\u00e8re aux SUV, hormis certaines exceptions comme l\u2019Alfa Romeo Stelvio<\/a>. Mais, ses dimensions contenues jouant en sa faveur, j\u2019avoue trouver ce SQ2 plut\u00f4t sexy dans sa teinte Rouge Tango. L\u2019aspect sportif est soulign\u00e9 par le Pack ext\u00e9rieur SQ2 (CHF 2’350.-) avec de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e9ments en noir, des autocollants lat\u00e9raux Quattro ainsi que des jantes 19 pouces. Par rapport au Q2, le SQ2 est rabaiss\u00e9 de s\u00e9rie de 20 mm ; on oublierait presque qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un SUV !<\/p>\n

Mais ce qui me frappe le plus est l\u2019impression d\u2019espace que je ressens compte-tenu de la compacit\u00e9 de l\u2019engin, qui rappelons-le, ne mesure que 4,19 m. Visiblement, Audi a privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 l\u2019espace \u00e0 l\u2019avant au d\u00e9triment des places arri\u00e8re. Le coffre propose un volume honn\u00eate de 355 litres, soit 25 litres de moins que l\u2019Audi A3 Sportback qui mesure 12cm de plus en longueur. L’ergonomie est fid\u00e8le aux mod\u00e8les Audi de gamme sup\u00e9rieure essay\u00e9s : parfaite. J’ai toutefois relev\u00e9 un bug au niveau des modes de conduite\u00a0: au d\u00e9marrage, le Virtual Cockpit (CHF 410.-) indique que la voiture se trouve toujours dans le m\u00eame mode, ce qui n’est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 pas le cas. Il faut donc – comme sur beaucoup des voitures – r\u00e9activer le mode voulu. Le mode activ\u00e9 par d\u00e9faut est le mode Confort, mais personnellement j’ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la plupart de mes trajets quotidiens en mode Efficiency afin de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier du coasting (roues libres en d\u00e9c\u00e9l\u00e9ration) lorsque je le d\u00e9sirais, \u00e0 savoir en rel\u00e2chant brutalement ou non l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur.<\/p>\n

Rien de nouveau sous le capot : l\u2019Audi SQ2 re\u00e7oit le moteur 2.0 TFSI qui revendique ici 300 chevaux. On ne compte plus les voitures du groupe faisant appel \u00e0 ce bloc : Seat Leon Cupra<\/a>, Cupra Ateca<\/a>, Volkswagen Golf R<\/a>, Audi S3 ou encore Skoda Octavia RS<\/a>, mais aussi beaucoup de mod\u00e8le de gamme sup\u00e9rieure moins sportifs. Pas de quoi \u00eatre blas\u00e9 pour autant, car vu ses prestations, se retrouver \u00e0 nouveau en sa compagnie est loin d’\u00eatre une punition. Comme sur la Volkswagen Golf R,<\/a> il est accoupl\u00e9 \u00e0 la bo\u00eete S-Tronic \u00e0 double embrayage \u00e0 7 rapports. Si le moteur convainc toujours par sa tonicit\u00e9 et sa plage d\u2019utilisation, la bo\u00eete S-Tronic m\u2019a paru un peu moins r\u00e9active que sur les autres sportives du groupe que j\u2019ai essay\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

En conduite sportive, l’Audi SQ2 fournit d\u2019excellentes prestations pour un SUV, avec un 0-100km\/h effectu\u00e9 en 4.8 secondes, soit seulement deux dixi\u00e8me de plus que l\u2019actuelle S3. Et pour cause, avec – seulement – 1’510 kg \u00e0 vide, le SQ2 n’est p\u00e9nalis\u00e9 que par sa garde au sol plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Comme toujours, si le fait d’\u00eatre sur\u00e9lev\u00e9 permet de mieux lire les virages, il r\u00e9duit la connexion entre le conducteur et la route et p\u00e9jore le centre de gravit\u00e9. Toutefois, le SQ2 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019un emp\u00e2tement de seulement 2,59 m, soit 4 cm de moins que l\u2019A3, tout en \u00e9tant nettement plus large \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re. L’agilit\u00e9 est au rendez-vous, avec en prime une direction plus directe qui est sp\u00e9cifique \u00e0 cette version S. En mode Dynamic, la sonorit\u00e9 se fait joliment pr\u00e9sente sans en faire trop comme c’est le cas dans la VW Golf R o\u00f9 l’on pr\u00e9f\u00e8re d\u00e9sactiver le Sound Aktor.<\/p>\n

L’amortissement propose une bonne balance entre confort et fermet\u00e9 en appui, avec une excellente filtration. Toutefois, je n\u2019ai pas senti de diff\u00e9rence entre les modes de conduite, et la configuration du mode Individual ne permet pas de r\u00e9gler les suspensions comme c\u2019est habituellement le cas. Il est donc probable que ce SQ2 d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la presse ne soit pas \u00e9quip\u00e9 des suspensions adaptatives DCC. Pourtant, la liste de prix valable d\u00e8s le 01.01.2020 mentionne bien cet \u00e9quipement comme \u00e9tant de s\u00e9rie sur le SQ2.<\/p>\n
