Pensant d\u00e9j\u00e0 aux photos, d\u00e9couvrir que notre A35 d’essai est noire me contrarie. Entre les nombreux reflets et son c\u00f4t\u00e9 salissant en hiver, cette couleur est bien la plus compliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 photographier. Par\u00e9e en outre du Pack Night AMG (CHF 1’008.-), la plupart des \u00e9l\u00e9ments sont en noir brillant, comme le diffuseur arri\u00e8re et l\u2019\u00e9chappement. Mais bien que le noir reste une couleur discr\u00e8te, je trouve cette A35 relativement agressive. A moins que ce ne soit les jantes multi-rayons 19 pouces noir mat (CHF 1’277.-) qui lui conf\u00e8rent ce c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u00e9lur\u00e9. Pour la rendre encore plus m\u00e9chante, il est possible d’opter pour un aileron arri\u00e8re surplombant le hayon.<\/p>\n

L’habitacle est fid\u00e8le \u00e0 la marque : chic et raffin\u00e9, avec un c\u00f4t\u00e9 bling-bling assum\u00e9. Si les pi\u00e8ces en imitation aluminium bross\u00e9 ou bois charment la vue, les parties fa\u00e7on “piano black” rappellent que nous sommes en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 entour\u00e9s de plastiques. L’\u00e9clairage d’ambiance est enti\u00e8rement configurable au niveau des couleurs ainsi que certaines parties qui peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9clair\u00e9es ou non, comme les a\u00e9rateurs circulaires.<\/p>\n
Malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence du toit ouvrant panoramique et d’une assise un peu haute, mes 195 cm parviennent \u00e0 trouver une position de conduite acceptable. Par contre, je remarque vite que les si\u00e8ges manquent de maintien, tant au niveau de l’assise que du dossier. Heureusement, la marque propose de superbes si\u00e8ges AMG Performance (d\u00e8s CHF 3’011.- selon les versions) qui semblent identiques \u00e0 ceux qui \u00e9quipaient l’AMG GT C Roadster essay\u00e9e l’\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier<\/a>. A noter que les si\u00e8ges arri\u00e8re reprennent la forme des si\u00e8ges avant, avec des appuis-t\u00eate fixes. Pas forc\u00e9ment fan de l’abondance technologique, je dois cependant avouer que son implantation dans l’habitacle est r\u00e9ussie et ne g\u00e2che rien \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue. Au volant, je ne me suis jamais senti \u00e9bloui ou fatigu\u00e9 par ces affichages dont l’intensit\u00e9 est r\u00e9glable (il est aussi possible d’\u00e9teindre celui de droite).<\/p>\n En revanche, la marque a l’\u00e9toile devrait r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 une approche plus intuitive pour la configuration. Non seulement les r\u00e9glages abondent, mais surtout, certains sont quasiment introuvables, \u00e0 l’image de la position de l’affichage t\u00eate-haute. Idem en ce qui concerne la filtration des petites asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s et autres jointures de pont qui ne passent pas inaper\u00e7ues. Serait-ce l\u2019effet des jantes 19 pouces optionnelles n\u00e9cessitant des pneus en taille 35, et de surcro\u00eet hivernaux ? \u00c0 noter que notre A35 d\u2019essai n\u2019est pas \u00e9quip\u00e9e du Pack AMG Dynamic Plus (CHF 3’562.-), apportant notamment le ch\u00e2ssis AMG Ride Control, des freins major\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019avant, le mode de conduite Race ainsi que les touches de r\u00e9glages de conduite au volant (voir notre essai de l’AMG GT C Roadster<\/a>). D\u00e8s l\u2019attaque du col de la Croix Fry, je passe en mode Sport+ afin de profiter d\u2019une direction raffermie et d\u2019une sonorit\u00e9 plus pr\u00e9sente. Si cette derni\u00e8re est loin d\u2019\u00eatre aussi prenante que sur l\u2019ancienne A45 AMG, elle est n\u00e9anmoins tr\u00e8s plaisante pour \u00eatre issue d\u2019un moteur 4 cylindres. Sur ce premier col plut\u00f4t \u00e9troit et manquant de tenue dans mon si\u00e8ge, je peine \u00e0 prendre mes marques. \u00c0 l\u2019inscription, l\u2019A35 se montre plut\u00f4t floue sur ce rev\u00eatement de pi\u00e8tre qualit\u00e9. Sur cette route plus large et de meilleure qualit\u00e9, le train avant est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis et la motricit\u00e9 excellente.
