La route nationale vers Seville est tr\u00e8s roulante. Le moteur VTEC Turbo de 2.0 litres peut laisser s\u2019exprimer pleinement ses 320 chevaux. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son couple de 400Nm les acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations sont franches. Le turbo a un bref temps de r\u00e9ponse, mais une fois dans les tours le moteur ne s\u2019essouffle jamais. C\u2019est \u00e0 vive allure que nous traversons vignobles, for\u00eats de ch\u00eanes-li\u00e8ge puis plantations d\u2019oliviers jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la capitale Andalouse.<\/p>\n

A S\u00e9ville, nous logeons dans la Sacristie de Santa Ana. Cet ancien manoir du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle est maintenant un h\u00f4tel situ\u00e9 sur la place Alameda de Hercules, dans la vieille ville. L\u2019endroit parfait pour visiter la p\u00e9tillante S\u00e9ville avec ses ruelles m\u00e9di\u00e9vales et ses orangers. Difficile de ne pas tomber amoureux de cette superbe ville bouillonnante de vie. C\u2019est certain, nous y reviendrons plus longuement\u2026<\/p>\n

Sur la route des \u00ab pueblos blancos \u00bb<\/strong><\/i><\/h3>\n

Le soleil est de retour ! Au programme du jour, nous avons pr\u00e9vu un itin\u00e9raire montagneux afin d\u2019aller \u00e0 la rencontre de quelques villages blancs typiquement Andalou : Arcos de la Frontera, Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil de las Bodegas et l\u2019incontournable Ronda, berceau de la tauromachie.<\/p>\n

L\u00e0 encore, pour atteindre ces villages haut perch\u00e9s et leurs maisons aux murs blanchis, la Honda Civic Type R se r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00eatre la voiture parfaite. Seul le vertige de ma copilote est parvenu \u00e0 calmer ses ardeurs. Sur ces routes tortueuses et peu fr\u00e9quent\u00e9es en cette basse saison, elle virevolte de virage en virage, sans jamais donner l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre en r\u00e9elle difficult\u00e9. De mon c\u00f4t\u00e9, je r\u00e9trograde plus qu\u2019il n\u2019en faut pour le simple plaisir de prendre en main la petite boule d\u2019alu qui sert de pommeau de levier de vitesse.<\/p>\n

J\u2019en profite pour tester les diff\u00e9rents modes de conduite. Il y a certes des diff\u00e9rences significatives entre eux, mais c\u2019est principalement la qualit\u00e9 du rev\u00eatement qui me fait choisir un mode plut\u00f4t qu\u2019un autre. Depuis notre d\u00e9part, je me suis d\u00e9j\u00e0 surpris \u00e0 rouler des heures en mode R+ sans manquer de confort et, \u00e0 l\u2019inverse, le l\u00e9ger roulis du mode confort n\u2019alt\u00e8re en rien les qualit\u00e9s sportives du ch\u00e2ssis ni la pr\u00e9cision millim\u00e9trique du train avant.<\/p>\n

La travers\u00e9e des villages n\u2019est pas des plus ais\u00e9es. Au bas des ruelles aux pentes abruptes, je crains pour la lame avant, tr\u00e8s expos\u00e9e. Mais au final la Type R se d\u00e9brouille probablement mieux qu\u2019une C-RV qui, m\u00eames r\u00e9troviseurs rabattus, aurait eu bien du mal \u00e0 traverser certaines ruelles \u00e9troites que nous empruntons.<\/p>\n

Ronda, envahi par les touristes, n\u2019a pas voulu de nous. Un petit tour de ville, un passage sur le fameux Puente Nuevo (pont neuf) qui surplombe un ravin de 120\u00a0m\u00e8tres, une photo devant les plus anciennes\u00a0ar\u00e8nes\u00a0pour corrida d\u2019Espagne et nous voil\u00e0 d\u00e9j\u00e0 en route pour Grenade.<\/p>\n

Sur la nationale, puis l\u2019autoroute nous conduisant vers la belle andalouse, nous optons pour un rythme de s\u00e9nateur. L\u2019amortissement du mode \u00ab confort \u00bb nous permet de profiter de la sportive Type R comme d\u2019un mod\u00e8le classique. Cette polyvalence n\u2019est pas la moindre de ses qualit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Ce soir, c\u2019est \u00e0 pied que nous parcourons Grenade avant de grimper jusqu\u2019au mirador de San Nicolas pour profiter de la meilleure vue nocturne sur le fabuleux palais de l\u2019Alhambra. La soir\u00e9e se termine dans l\u2019un des nombreux bars \u00e0 tapas branch\u00e9 de la ville.<\/p>\n

De la neige au d\u00e9sert en quelques kilom\u00e8tres<\/strong><\/i><\/h3>\n

Au petit matin, une nappe de brouillard est en suspension au-dessus de Grenade. Il nous faut rapidement prendre de la hauteur pour retrouver le soleil\u2026 \u00c7a tombe bien, Grenade est situ\u00e9 au pied de la Sierra Nevada et la station de ski du m\u00eame nom, la plus m\u00e9ridionale d\u2019Europe, est \u00e0 une trentaine de kilom\u00e8tres seulement. Si on y acc\u00e8de par une route large et en pente douce, la station culmine tout de m\u00eame \u00e0 plus de 2\u2019500 m\u00e8tres. En raison du trafic, je dois retenir les ardeurs de la Type R que je sens un peu frustr\u00e9e de ne pas pouvoir profiter pleinement du terrain de jeu qui lui est offert. Sierra Nevada est une station de ski sans grand int\u00e9r\u00eat si ce n\u2019est, en fin de saison, de pouvoir faire du ski le matin et de se retrouver en maillot de bain sur une plage m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, \u00e0 moins de 100 kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

Quant \u00e0 nous, ce n\u2019est pas sur la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e que nous mettons le cap mais plut\u00f4t sur le Far West ! Saviez-vous qu\u2019il y avait des d\u00e9serts en Espagne ? Le plus grand d\u2019entre eux se situe en Andalousie, au nord de la ville d\u2019Almeria. Il s\u2019agit du d\u00e9sert de Tabernas, c’est le plus grand d\u2019Europe occidentale. C\u2019est ici, et non en Am\u00e9rique comme on pourrait le croire, qu\u2019on \u00e9t\u00e9 tourn\u00e9s les plus grands westerns, notamment ceux du grand Sergio Leone.<\/p>\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, les d\u00e9cors semblent plut\u00f4t d\u00e9labr\u00e9s et mis \u00e0 part quelques clips vid\u00e9os, on n\u2019y tourne plus grand-chose. Le lieu s\u2019est progressivement transform\u00e9 en une attraction pour touristes. J\u2019aurais ador\u00e9 faire un petit shooting photo de la Type R dans le d\u00e9cor du film \u00ab Il \u00e9tait une fois dans l\u2019ouest \u00bb mais l\u2019entr\u00e9e nous a \u00e9t\u00e9 refus\u00e9e. Sur la nationale N340, nous n\u2019avons pas pu nous emp\u00eacher de faire une petite halte au Circuit de Almeria, occup\u00e9 par une journ\u00e9e \u00ab track day \u00bb de moto. Situ\u00e9 en plein d\u00e9sert, c\u2019est le circuit le plus chaud et le plus sec d\u2019Europe. Pas \u00e9tonnant que l\u2019endroit soit pris\u00e9 par les constructeurs pour tester la r\u00e9sistance de leurs nouveaux mod\u00e8les. Non loin du circuit, nous avons d\u2019ailleurs crois\u00e9 deux v\u00e9hicules immatricul\u00e9s en Allemagne, totalement camoufl\u00e9s et truff\u00e9s d\u2019instruments de mesures. Je serais incapable de vous en d\u00e9voiler ne serait-ce que la marque (Mercedes AMG GT 4 portes coup\u00e9?) . Nous avons essay\u00e9 de jouer les paparazzis et de voler quelques photos, mais avec notre bolide \u00e0 l\u2019aileron imposant immatricul\u00e9 en suisse, bonjour la discr\u00e9tion ! Apr\u00e8s les festivit\u00e9s de la nouvelle ann\u00e9e, c\u2019est bien repos\u00e9s que nous reprenons la route en direction de la Suisse. Comme pour l\u2019aller, nous avons pr\u00e9vu de traverser la France d\u2019une seule traite. Il ne nous reste donc qu\u2019une seule nuit en Espagne avant la fin de notre p\u00e9riple. Nous d\u00e9cidons de marquer le coup en r\u00e9servant une nuit et un souper dans un Parador. Nous avons s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 celui de la cit\u00e9 m\u00e9di\u00e9vale de Cardona, situ\u00e9 dans un superbe ch\u00e2teau fortifi\u00e9 du IXe si\u00e8cle \u00e0 une centaine de kilom\u00e8tre de Barcelone, dans l\u2019arri\u00e8re-pays.<\/p>\n

Choisir une Honda Civic Type R pour un tel p\u00e9riple de plus de 6\u2019000 kilom\u00e8tres en quelques jours \u00e9tait sans doute un peu d\u00e9raisonnable. Mais \u00e0 aucun moment nous n’avons regrett\u00e9 notre choix. Spacieuse, avec des rangements aussi grands qu\u2019astucieux, la vie \u00e0 bord s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e tr\u00e8s plaisante. Certes nous voyagions \u00e0 deux, mais nos nombreux bagages n\u2019ont eu aucun mal \u00e0 prendre place dans le coffre de 420 litres. Finalement la seule chose d\u00e9plaisante aura \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019entendre ma passag\u00e8re, jour apr\u00e8s jour, me r\u00e9p\u00e9ter invariablement : \u00ab tu as assez d\u2019essence ? \u00bb, \u00e0 la vue de chaque pompe \u00e0 essence (ci-dessous les 18 points de ravitaillement). La consommation moyenne de ce p\u00e9riple est de 9.2l\/100km. Cela peut para\u00eetre beaucoup, mais gardons \u00e0 l’esprit qu’il s’agit d’une sportive de 320ch et mise \u00e0 part les travers\u00e9es de la France, nous avons privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 les routes secondaires et souvent \u00e0 un rythme \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La Type R a d\u00e9finitivement confirm\u00e9 tout le bien que nous pensions d\u2019elle. Si on assume son c\u00f4t\u00e9 ostentatoire, elle est une excellente voyageuse, tout \u00e0 fait viable au quotidien. Je dirais m\u00eame qu\u2019elle gagne \u00e0 \u00eatre connue. Figurez-vous que durant nos 6\u2019000km de p\u00e9riple, nous n’en n\u2019avons crois\u00e9 aucune autre !!! C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre pour cela qu\u2019elle a suscit\u00e9 cet engouement incroyable. Et dire que cette sportive exclusive co\u00fbte moins de CHF 50\u2019000.- !<\/p>\n
