Si l’on en croit les pr\u00e9visions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques, nous allons vivre la seule journ\u00e9e vraiment ensoleill\u00e9e avant plusieurs jours. Encore frustr\u00e9s de notre travers\u00e9e des Asturies, nous d\u00e9cidons d\u2019en profiter et prenons la direction du mythique Cap Finist\u00e8re. Une boucle qui rallonge notre p\u00e9riple d\u2019environ 200 kilom\u00e8tres, mais nous n\u2019aurons pas \u00e0 le regretter. Notre petit bolide est tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019aise sur la route serpentant la c\u00f4te escarp\u00e9e. Alors que la brume assombrit encore l\u2019oc\u00e9an, la multitude de bateaux de p\u00eacheurs nous offre un spectacle qui semble irr\u00e9el. Une fois le brouillard dissip\u00e9, le d\u00e9cor s\u2019illumine et devient sauvage, offrant des points de vue spectaculaires. Une halte photo s\u2019impose. Nous empruntons au hasard une petite route goudronn\u00e9e qui subitement s\u2019arr\u00eate face \u00e0 l\u2019oc\u00e9an. On se sent tout petit\u2026. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Une fois arriv\u00e9s au phare du Cap Finister, le lieu est d\u00e9sert, si bien que nous bravons l\u2019interdit pour faire quelques photos de notre sportive au pied du phare. C\u00e9lia, notre charmant h\u00f4te de la S\u00e9 Guesthouse de Braga, nous sugg\u00e8re de faire une halte pour grimper les 583 marches menant au Bom Jesus avant de quitter la ville. Malheureusement, lorsque nous nous rendons compte que le GPS de notre Honda nous envoie dans une toute autre direction, il est trop tard pour faire demi-tour. Vouer une confiance aveugle \u00e0 cet instrument de navigation est une erreur que nous allons r\u00e9p\u00e9ter lors de ce voyage. Nous aurions \u00e9t\u00e9 mieux inspir\u00e9s de privil\u00e9gier Google Mapps via le CarPlay.<\/p>\n

Peu importe, nous prenons un caf\u00e9 dans la charmante ville historique de Guimar\u00e3es avant de nous enfoncer dans la vall\u00e9e du Douro. Une route sinueuse nous guide \u00e0 travers d\u2019incroyables paysages viticoles s\u2019\u00e9tageant en gradins sur les collines aux pentes raides class\u00e9es au patrimoine mondial de l\u2019Unesco. Nous quittons la vall\u00e9e du Duro par la rive gauche \u00e0 hauteur de Castello de Paiva via une route tortueuse qui nous plonge au c\u0153ur d\u2019une immense for\u00eat d\u2019eucalyptus. Depuis ce matin, notre Type R se faufile entre les gouttes, mais visiblement ici la temp\u00eate Elsa a d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9vers\u00e9 ses premi\u00e8res trombes d\u2019eau. Quelques branches d\u2019eucalyptus en travers de la route me donnent l\u2019occasion de solliciter, \u00e0 d\u00e9faut de l\u2019endurance, la r\u00e9activit\u00e9 des freins hautes performances Brembo. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir stationn\u00e9 tant bien que mal notre voiture \u00e0 Coimbra, nous partons \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de cette ville universitaire d\u00e9sert\u00e9e par les \u00e9tudiants en cette p\u00e9riode de fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e. Un sentiment d\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9, probablement injustifi\u00e9, nous pousse \u00e0 quitter cette ville. Avant de reprendre le volant, nous poussons la porte du Caf\u00e9 Santa Cruz. Int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans le complexe du Monast\u00e8re du m\u00eame nom, nous apprenons que l\u2019emplacement abritait jusqu\u2019\u00e0 1834 l\u2019\u00e9glise de la paroisse. Nous nous installons \u00e0 cot\u00e9 des anciens confessionnaux tandis que trois artistes se tiennent l\u00e0 o\u00f9 devait se situer l\u2019ancien c\u0153ur de l\u2019\u00e9glise. C\u2019est devant deux verres de Porto, dans ce lieu insolite, que nous assistons \u00e0 la fin d\u2019un concert de Fado.<\/p>\n

Il fait nuit depuis longtemps lorsque que nous reprenons la route. Nous sommes \u00e0 peine sur l\u2019autoroute qui doit nous conduire \u00e0 Nazar\u00e9 que des trombes d\u2019eau impressionnantes s\u2019abattent sur nous. Les essuies glaces font leur possible, mais il devient difficile de lire la route. Sous ce v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9luge, j\u2019aurais appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 un mode d\u2019essuie-glace un peu plus rapide.<\/p>\n

Nazar\u00e9 – Lisbonne avec Elsa<\/strong><\/i><\/h3>\n

Nazar\u00e9 est connu pour ses vagues impressionnantes d\u00fbes \u00e0 un relief sous-marin tr\u00e8s particulier. Nous avons consacr\u00e9 la matin\u00e9e \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de cette attrayante bourgade aux rues \u00e9troites, certes pris\u00e9es des surfeurs, mais qui a su conserver son authenticit\u00e9. A d\u00e9faut de surfeurs, nous avons crois\u00e9 quelques vieilles dames habill\u00e9es en costume traditionnel qui comprend sept jupons superpos\u00e9s. Un petit funiculaire nous conduit sur les hauts de la ville et nous marchons sous la pluie jusqu\u2019au phare qui se trouve dans l\u2019enceinte du Fort de S\u00e3o Miguel Arcanjo. C\u2019est le point de vue id\u00e9al pour observer vagues et surfeurs. Mais aujourd\u2019hui les vagues ne sont gu\u00e8re impressionnantes et les seules planches de surfs que nous voyons tapissent les murs du fort \u00e0 l\u2019occasion d\u2019une exposition r\u00e9trospective.<\/p>\n

Il est d\u00e9j\u00e0 tard quand nous retrouvons le confort \u00ab \u00e9tanche \u00bb de notre Type R dans le parking de l\u2019h\u00f4tel. Sur la route de Lisbonne, nous faisons halte \u00e0 Ericeira au restaurant Tasca Da Fonte qui propose une cuisine simple et traditionnelle. Nous sommes accueillis chaleureusement par Carlos qui nous propose de d\u00e9guster une feijoada, sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 pris\u00e9e des portuguais qui n\u2019est pas sans rappeller le cassoulet fran\u00e7ais. Cela nous change du bacalhau (morue) que l\u2019on retrouve invariablement sur toute les cartes du pays. Une halte qui restera un excellent souvenir culinaire.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est encore une fois de nuit et sous le d\u00e9luge que nous rejoignons notre ville \u00e9tape. La capitale Portugaise n\u2019est, dans un premier temps, pas tr\u00e8s accueillante. Faire dormir notre pr\u00e9cieux bolide \u00e0 l\u2019abri semble plus compliqu\u00e9 que pour ses occupants. Finalement nous trouvons un confortable h\u00f4tel au centre-ville, avec un parking souterrain.\u00a0La t\u00e9l\u00e9vision nous informe des premi\u00e8res cons\u00e9quences de la temp\u00eate Elsa avec d’importantes inondations dans les villes que nous avons travers\u00e9 quelques heures auparavant.<\/p>\n

Aujourd\u2019hui j\u2019ai rendez-vous avec Vitor, un ami photographe que je rencontre chaque ann\u00e9e aux 24h du Mans. Il est le guide id\u00e9al car il est n\u00e9 et a grandi au centre de Lisbonne. Nous avons pr\u00e9vu de faire un shooting de la Type R dans les rues de Lisbonne. La m\u00e9t\u00e9o, ainsi qu\u2019une panne sur la mythique ligne 28 du Tramway lisbo\u00e8te nous complique bien la t\u00e2che.<\/p>\n

La proximit\u00e9 de Lisbonne faisait que le public \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent en masse en bordure et sur la route, s\u2019\u00e9cartant juste au passage des bolides. En 1986, un pilote local au volant d\u2019une Ford RS200 manque un virage et sort dans la foule, faisant trois victimes et une trentaine de bless\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 des routes tr\u00e8s grasses qui mette \u00e0 mal sa motricit\u00e9, la Type R se sent \u00e0 l\u2019aise sur ce parcours technique et rapide. Vitor est impressionn\u00e9 par le comportement de la Japonaise dont il me dit particuli\u00e8rement appr\u00e9cier l\u2019esth\u00e9tique de la face avant. Malheureusement, les routes coup\u00e9es en raison des d\u00e9g\u00e2ts provoqu\u00e9s par la temp\u00eate de la nuit derni\u00e8re ne nous permettent pas de parcourir l\u2019entier des sp\u00e9ciales. Du coup, nous faisons une petite pause au Cabo da Roca qui est le point le plus occidental du continent europ\u00e9en.<\/p>\n

Je le soup\u00e7onne de s’y \u00eatre rendu en douce car lorsque nous nous retrouvons dans la soir\u00e9e, il connait d\u00e9j\u00e0 la valeur de la Type R sur le march\u00e9 portugais. La soir\u00e9e se prolonge au Povo\u00a0o\u00f9 Vitor et sa femme Silvia nous ont r\u00e9serv\u00e9 une table. Nous partageons un d\u00e9licieux repas spectacle dans ce restaurant r\u00e9put\u00e9 dans le Fado pour faire \u00e9merger de nouveaux talents. Surpris de voir encore du bacalhau\u00a0en vedette au menu, Silvia nous explique qu\u2019au Portugal il y a la viande, le poisson et le bacalhau\u00a0! Nous passons une superbe soir\u00e9e au rythme de l\u2019envoutant Fado.<\/p>\n
