L\u2019id\u00e9e est de faire le tour complet de la p\u00e9ninsule ib\u00e9rique, le Nord de l\u2019Espagne, le Portugal avant de revenir par l\u2019Andalousie, soit environ 6’000 kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019autoroutes, de routes c\u00f4ti\u00e8res et m\u00eame quelques tortueuses envol\u00e9es montagneuses. Honda Suisse, s\u00e9duit par notre itin\u00e9raire, nous a gentiment propos\u00e9 de choisir entre la confortable CR-V Hybrid, la plus petite HR-V Turbo ou la bouillonnante Civic Type R. Entre raison et passion, le choix est corn\u00e9lien. Mais soyons fou\u00a0! Lors de nos pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents essais, la Type R s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00eatre une des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences parmi les tractions sportives. Le programme de la premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e de notre roadtrip est tr\u00e8s simple\u00a0: se rapprocher le plus rapidement possible de la fronti\u00e8re espagnole. Nous roulons donc toute la journ\u00e9e, traversant la France d\u2019est en ouest. Une petite dizaine d\u2019heures d\u2019autoroute sous une pluie battante, le temps de faire plus ample connaissance avec la Honda Civic Type R, et de dissiper deux inqui\u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re concerne le mode \u00ab\u00a0confort\u00a0\u00bb. Heureusement, il porte correctement son nom. Il vient compl\u00e9ter les modes \u00ab\u00a0sport\u00a0\u00bb et\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0R+\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9j\u00e0 existants et avait cruellement manqu\u00e9 sur la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente version, la Civic Type R FK2<\/a> que j\u2019avais essay\u00e9 en 2016. On peut donc avaler les kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019autoroute avec cette voiture dans un confort correct, m\u00eame si elle se r\u00e9v\u00e8le passablement bruyante \u00e0 vitesse \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/p>\n La seconde appr\u00e9hension, comme souvent en mati\u00e8re de sportive, est la consommation. Apr\u00e8s 800 kilom\u00e8tres, l\u2019ordinateur de bord indique un raisonnable 8,4l\/100km. Par contre, le volume limit\u00e9 du r\u00e9servoir (46 litres) oblige un passage fr\u00e9quent \u00e0 la pompe. A noter que la premi\u00e8re photo de ce Road trip doit \u00eatre mis \u00e0 l\u2019actif de la mar\u00e9e chauss\u00e9e. La premi\u00e8re grande ville travers\u00e9e est Lugo, une ville de 300’000 habitants sans aucun charme. Pire, je dirais m\u00eame que c\u2019est la plus laide ville d\u2019Espagne que je connaisse, et les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres murailles romaines qui entourent la ville n\u2019y changent rien. Nous passons notre chemin pour rejoindre au plus vite la capitale de la Galice, Saint-Jacques de Compostelle.
