Il y a tout juste un an, nous assistions \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sentation de l\u2019Aston Martin DBS Superleggera en avant-premi\u00e8re mondiale \u00e0 Londres<\/a>. Avec son moteur V12 5.2L bi-turbo de 725 ch, elle succ\u00e8de \u00e0 la Vanquish S V12 de 603 ch et devient ainsi l\u2019Aston Martin de s\u00e9rie la plus puissante jamais produite. Les trois lettres DBS, utilis\u00e9es pour la premi\u00e8re fois chez Aston Martin en 1967, se r\u00e9f\u00e8rent au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre coup\u00e9 conduit par Roger Moore dans le r\u00f4le de Lord Brett Sinclair dans la s\u00e9rie \u00ab Amicalement v\u00f4tre \u00bb en 1970. Apr\u00e8s la DBS de deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration produite de 2006 \u00e0 2012, Aston Martin propose \u00e0 nouveau une DBS. Mais cette fois, la marque britannique a voulu aller encore plus loin en r\u00e9it\u00e9rant le partenariat avec le carrossier italien Touring. Le traitement Superleggera consiste ici en un arbre de transmission, un capot, un coffre et des panneaux de carrosserie en carbone, permettant de faire baisser le poids de 72 kg par rapport \u00e0 celui de la DB11.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 des faces avant et arri\u00e8re redessin\u00e9es, la DBS Superleggera ne peut cacher son lien de parent\u00e9 avec la DB11<\/a> sur laquelle elle se base. Cela se remarque surtout par son toit dont la forme est identique. On retrouve aussi le syst\u00e8me a\u00e9rodynamique brevet\u00e9 par Aston Martin. L\u2019air est aspir\u00e9 par deux prises d\u2019air lat\u00e9rales situ\u00e9es juste apr\u00e8s les custodes, puis ressort d\u2019un d\u00e9flecteur qui surplombe le coffre, ce qui permet d\u2019ajouter de l\u2019appui \u00e0 vitesse \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Rentr\u00e9 ou sorti en fonction de la vitesse sur la DB11, il se pr\u00e9sente sous la forme d\u2019un aileron fixe en carbone sur la DBS Superleggera, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re davantage de sportivit\u00e9. Dans cette superbe teinte Hyper Red (CHF 5’863.-), qui contraste id\u00e9alement avec le toit en carbone (CHF 7’442.-), notre DBS Superleggera d\u2019essai attire en permanence les convoitises autour de moi.<\/p>\n

A l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, l\u2019habitacle reprend aussi la pr\u00e9sentation et l\u2019instrumentation de la DB11<\/a>, mais avec un sens du raffinement et de la sportivit\u00e9 encore accru. La DBS Superleggera re\u00e7oit des si\u00e8ges sp\u00e9cifiques plus enveloppants, ici dot\u00e9s de coutures en losange du plus bel effet que l\u2019on retrouve dans le reste de l\u2019habitacle. Le m\u00eame souci du d\u00e9tail est apport\u00e9 au ciel de toit ainsi qu\u2019aux places arri\u00e8re, d\u00e9di\u00e9es aux enfants ou des adultes de petite taille.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ergonomie des commandes est coh\u00e9rente et fait appel \u00e0 la m\u00eame logique que le reste de la gamme actuelle. Si le pad tactile provenant de Mercedes ne me convainc toujours pas \u2013 heureusement, on peut tout faire avec la molette \u2013 je retrouve avec plaisir les deux boutons situ\u00e9s sur le volant. Le bouton de gauche permet d\u2019agir sur la duret\u00e9 des suspensions et celui de droite sur les modes de conduite (GT, Sport, Sport+).<\/p>\n

Mon premier contact avec la b\u00eate se d\u00e9roule sur une chauss\u00e9e d\u00e9tremp\u00e9e, ce qui est loin d\u2019\u00eatre id\u00e9al. Je vais donc me garder de d\u00e9sactiver les aides \u00e9lectroniques. Toutefois, afin de profiter pleinement des vocalises du V12, je ne vais pas attendre avant de passer en mode Sport puis Sport+. Cela n\u2019a pas d\u2019incidence sur les assistances qui restent assez castratrices. Il faut dire qu\u2019avec 725 chevaux et 900 Nm de couple d\u00e8s 1\u2019800 trs\/min, les roues arri\u00e8re patinent tr\u00e8s rapidement surtout lorsque la chauss\u00e9e est humide ou in\u00e9gale. Pour obtenir une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration franche et sans coupure, il faut donc doser savamment les gaz. Voil\u00e0 une mise en route plus qu\u2019intimidante, mais cela n\u2019a rien d\u2019\u00e9tonnant dans ces conditions. Moi qui avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 qualifi\u00e9 la DB11 V8<\/a> de virile, me voil\u00e0 avec 215 ch de plus dans une Aston Martin nettement plus sportive !<\/p>\n

Heureusement, la pluie ne reviendra pas perturber mon essai. La premi\u00e8re soir\u00e9e s\u2019ach\u00e8ve au col du Marchairuz o\u00f9 nous r\u00e9alisons la vid\u00e9o pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en fin d’article. L\u2019asphalte a s\u00e9ch\u00e9, mais la temp\u00e9rature est fra\u00eeche et le rev\u00eatement souvent in\u00e9gal. Malgr\u00e9 un \u00e9quilibre des masses quasi parfait (51\/49) et des pneus arri\u00e8re de 305 mm de largeur, la motricit\u00e9 n\u2019est toujours pas au rendez-vous, m\u00eame sur le 3\u00e8me rapport\u2026 Il va bien falloir que je m\u2019y habitue, je d\u00e9cide donc de passer l\u2019ESP en mode Track afin de r\u00e9duire les coupures intempestives. Au prix de larges traces laiss\u00e9es sur le bitume lors des relances, les mont\u00e9es en r\u00e9gimes sont maintenant franches et continues jusqu\u2019au rupteur plac\u00e9 \u00e0 7\u2019000 trs\/min ! M\u00eame si elle n\u2019est pas aussi \u00e9vocatrice que sur l\u2019ancien V12 atmosph\u00e9rique de la Vanquish, la sonorit\u00e9 du V12 bi-turbo participe grandement \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience. En courbe, le train avant affiche pr\u00e9cision et mordant, il est donc possible d\u2019entrer sur les freins sans craindre de sous-virer, le nez de l\u2019auto se jetant \u00e0 la corde ! Les freins carbone-c\u00e9ramiques pr\u00e9sents de s\u00e9rie procurent un mordant assez progressif et semblent in\u00e9puisables.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Le lendemain, direction l\u2019Oberland bernois en passant par le col du Jaun. Le plaisir est bel et bien pr\u00e9sent, mais l\u00e0 aussi, la topographie et la largeur de la chauss\u00e9e ne permettent pas vraiment d\u2019exploiter sa puissance.<\/p>\n

Cependant, ce road trip familial qui nous guide ensuite tranquillement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Brienz met en exergue sa polyvalence. L\u2019amortissement, bien que plus ferme que celui de la DB11, n\u2019en demeure pas moins confortable en mode GT. Et cal\u00e9s dans les si\u00e8ges arri\u00e8re, mes enfants ne se plaignent pas m\u00eame apr\u00e8s 2 heures de route. Contrairement \u00e0 la DB11<\/a>, la DBS Superleggera poss\u00e8de un bouton d\u2019ouverture sur le coffre, pratique pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 ses 270 litres. A 120 km\/h, la consommation est de 8.5 l\/100km, et il faut compter sur environ 13 l\/100km de moyenne en m\u00ealant tous type de route.<\/p>\n

La bo\u00eete automatique ZF \u00e0 8 rapports est toujours juste et douce, et autorise les 12 cylindres \u00e0 tourner \u00e0 tr\u00e8s bas r\u00e9gimes (800 trs\/min). Et heureusement, car ce moteur est \u00ab plein partout \u00bb et v\u00e9ritablement \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans toutes les situations. Comme c\u2019est souvent le cas avec ce type de moteur, les mont\u00e9es en r\u00e9gime sont de ce fait un peu trop lin\u00e9aires, ce qui ne sera pas du go\u00fbt de ceux qui pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent les moteurs pointus qui lib\u00e8rent leur fougue \u00e0 hauts r\u00e9gimes.<\/p>\n

Le troisi\u00e8me et dernier jour de mon essai me permettra d\u2019exploiter un peu mieux cette DBS Superleggera. Grand soleil et trafic dense maintiennent l\u2019asphalte \u00e0 bonne temp\u00e9rature entre Nyon et Saint-Cergue. Le rev\u00eatement est parfait et les virages de diff\u00e9rents rayons s\u2019encha\u00eenent avec grande facilit\u00e9, faisant oublier ses 1\u2019693 kg. Les palettes solidaires de la colonne de direction sont plus longues que sur la DB11<\/a>, am\u00e9liorant ainsi la prise en main dans les virages. Cette fois, je ne vais pas me priver de d\u00e9sactiver l\u2019ESP. Et l\u00e0, surprise\u00a0! Pied au plancher une fois les roues droites, la puissance passe cette fois-ci \u00e9tonnamment bien au sol. Il est clair que cette voiture n\u2019est pas sur-motoris\u00e9e comme je m\u2019\u00e9tais permis de le penser au premier jour. Toutefois, il est \u00e9galement clair que les conditions permettant d\u2019exploiter pleinement toute cette puissance sont rares sur route ouverte. Et encore\u2026 je ne vous parle m\u00eame pas du probl\u00e8me des limitations de vitesse\u00a0!<\/p>\n

De retour en plaine, il est temps de rendre ce magnifique bijou que je prends soin de garer \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019une DB11 AMR devant la concession Aston Martin Geneva.<\/p>\n

Magnifiquement configur\u00e9e, notre DBS Superleggera d\u2019essai culmine \u00e0 la somme faramineuse de CHF 392’155.- (voir listes des options ci-apr\u00e8s), alors que son prix de base est de CHF 324\u2019144.-. A titre de comparaison, la DB11 AMR de 630 ch est accessible d\u00e8s CHF 252’082.-, soit 22% de moins pour un mod\u00e8le qui pr\u00e9sente certaines similitudes et qui r\u00e9pondra d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 des exigences tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es. Mais pour le produit phare de la marque de Gaydon, il fallait bien un prix qui soit en ad\u00e9quation avec tous ses superlatifs !<\/p>\n
