Sans pass\u00e9, il n\u2019y a pas d\u2019avenir. De nombreux constructeurs font fr\u00e9quemment r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 ce constat. C\u2019est le cas par exemple de Porsche. Avant de ressortir au prochain Salon international de l\u2019automobile de Gen\u00e8ve, l\u2019appellation 718 pour ses mod\u00e8les \u00e0 moteur central d\u00e9sormais anim\u00e9s par un moteur \u00e0 quatre cylindres, le constructeur de Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen avait ressorti le patronyme \u00ab Spyder \u00bb pour la Boxster la plus puissante jamais construite en 2015. Jumelle dizygote du Cayman GT4 qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 essay\u00e9e par Bob de Graffenried<\/a>, la Boxster Spyder mill\u00e9sime 2016 arrive en ce moment-m\u00eame au compte-goutte chez les concessionnaires de la marque. Sport-Auto.ch a eu le privil\u00e8ge de l\u2019essayer. <\/p>\n

Les ing\u00e9nieurs de Porsche expliquent que la nouvelle Boxster Spyder s\u2019inscrit dans la lign\u00e9e des premi\u00e8res voitures de course \u00e0 moteur central de la marque, \u00e0 commencer par la 550 Spyder et la 718 RSK des ann\u00e9es cinquante. On rappellera que la 718 RSK avait permis \u00e0 Wolfgang von Trips de briller \u00e0 la course de c\u00f4te Aoste-Grand-St-Bernard qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 le th\u00e9\u00e2tre en 1957 de la 5e<\/sup> \u00e9preuve du championnat d\u2019Europe de la montagne. A son volant, le pilote allemand s\u2019\u00e9tait impos\u00e9 dans sa cat\u00e9gorie de cylindr\u00e9e et avait termin\u00e9 \u00e0 la 2e<\/sup> place du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral derri\u00e8re la Maserati du Suisse Hans-Peter Daetwyler. <\/p>\n

Avec la 550 Spyder, la Porsche 718 RSK \u00e0 moteur central est justement l\u2019une des inspiratrices du Boxster Spyder. Toutes les trois partagent notamment la position de leur propulseur et la puret\u00e9 de leurs lignes. D\u00e9voil\u00e9e au Salon de New York, la Boxster Spyder b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie en effet d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments stylistiques qui magnifient le caract\u00e8re exclusif de ses 375 chevaux, dix de moins que sa jumelle ferm\u00e9e, la Cayman GT4. <\/p>\n

Ce qui est certain, c\u2019est que nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir \u00e0 conduire la Boxster Spyder sur des routes exigeantes \u00e0 souhait et tr\u00e8s peu fr\u00e9quent\u00e9es, que ce soit dans la r\u00e9gion du Grand-St-Bernard ch\u00e8re \u00e0 Wolfgang von Trips, sur une \u00e9preuve sp\u00e9ciale du rallye international du Valais au-dessus d\u2019Orsi\u00e8res ou encore d\u2019Aoste \u00e0 Vevey en passant par Chamonix, le col de la Forclaz et Martigny. Nous avons en outre \u00e9t\u00e9 enthousiasm\u00e9s par la tr\u00e8s large plage d\u2019utilisation du moteur. Celle-ci autorise aussi bien un pilotage particuli\u00e8rement sportif \u00e0 haut r\u00e9gime qu\u2019une conduite plus sage tout en profitant de beaucoup de couple \u00e0 bas r\u00e9gime. Cela par exemple lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agissait de suivre sagement la 911 Cabriolet du photographe charg\u00e9 de nous immortaliser et de la d\u00e9passer ensuite dans de fabuleuses mont\u00e9es en r\u00e9gime, une fois les prises de vue termin\u00e9es. <\/p>\n

\nCommercialis\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de CHF 97’600.-, la Boxster Spyder n\u2019est disponible qu\u2019avec une bo\u00eete manuelle qui contribue elle aussi \u00e0 l\u2019all\u00e8gement du tout. Un all\u00e8gement qui se traduit au niveau des performances par une vitesse de pointe de 290km\/h et une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de 0 \u00e0 100km\/h effectu\u00e9e en \u00e0 peine 4,5 secondes. Davantage que ces performances brutes, notre essai nous a permis d\u2019appr\u00e9cier une agilit\u00e9 tout simplement bluffante. C\u2019est cette agilit\u00e9 qui avait \u00e9galement permis en son temps aux 550 Spyder et aux 718 RSK de battre en comp\u00e9tition des voitures disposant pourtant de moteurs beaucoup plus puissants. La Boxster Spyder atteindra-t-elle dans quelques d\u00e9cennies les sommes vertigineuses que requi\u00e8rent aujourd\u2019hui les 550 Spyder et autres 718 RSK ? On l\u2019ignore ! Ce qui est certain, en revanche, c\u2019est qu\u2019elle est d\u2019ores et d\u00e9j\u00e0 un collector !<\/strong><\/p>\n
