\nApr\u00e8s l\u2019essai en avant-premi\u00e8re r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par ma coll\u00e8gue<\/a> en novembre 2017, nous avons d\u00fb faire preuve de patience pour prendre le volant de l\u2019Alpine A110 sur nos terres. Nous n\u2019allons pas revenir en d\u00e9tail sur la fabuleuse histoire de la marque Alpine. Je pr\u00e9ciserai simplement que notre exemplaire d\u2019essai est une Premi\u00e8re Edition portant le num\u00e9ro 1’876 sur les 1’955 exemplaires construits, nombre qui fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e o\u00f9 Jean R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9 a cr\u00e9\u00e9 la marque. Cette Premi\u00e8re Edition s\u2019\u00e9tant vendue \u00e0 la vitesse de l\u2019\u00e9clair, la client\u00e8le a le choix aujourd\u2019hui entre les versions Pure et L\u00e9gende pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es en mars 2018 \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve<\/a>. Techniquement, rien ne les distingue de notre mod\u00e8le d\u2019essai\u00a0: plateforme, moteur, liaisons au sol, freins et \u00e9chappement sont identiques.<\/p>\n

Ext\u00e9rieurement, Alpine a r\u00e9ussi le pari de concevoir une Alpine A110 contemporaine qui rappelle in\u00e9vitablement son anc\u00eatre, alors qu\u2019un demi-si\u00e8cle les s\u00e9pare ! Bien que ses dimensions soient sup\u00e9rieures, on per\u00e7oit rapidement que la l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 est au centre du nouveau projet : les roues ne sont pas surdimensionn\u00e9es et l\u2019empattement est raisonnable : 2,42 m\u00e8tres. Avec ses 1\u2019103 kg \u00e0 vide (en ordre de marche), l\u2019Alpine A110 \u00ab se contente \u00bb d\u2019un 4 cylindres de 1.8L revendiquant 252 ch, lui permettant de franchir le 0-100 km\/h en 4,5 secondes.<\/p>\n

La pr\u00e9sentation int\u00e9rieure est \u00e9galement une belle r\u00e9ussite. Outre les si\u00e8ges, mon regard est imm\u00e9diatement attir\u00e9 par la console centrale flottante qui est du plus bel effet, ainsi que sur les panneaux de portes m\u00ealant cuir et composite laqu\u00e9 du m\u00eame bleu Alpine que la carrosserie.<\/p>\n

L\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 bord est facile et pour cause, la position de conduite est plus haute qu\u2019\u00e0 bord d\u2019une Alfa Romeo 4C<\/a> ou d\u2019une Lotus Elise. Mais plus haut ne veut pas forc\u00e9ment dire moins bien, surtout lorsqu\u2019on se laisse glisser dans les superbes baquets Sabelt dont le design et le maintien justifient quasiment \u00e0 eux seuls l\u2019achat de la voiture\u00a0! Leur conception en une seule pi\u00e8ce rev\u00eatue de cuir \u00e0 coutures en losange rappelle immanquablement les si\u00e8ges de la premi\u00e8re A110.<\/p>\n

Mais avant de plonger t\u00eate baiss\u00e9e lors de votre choix, n\u2019oubliez pas de les essayer, le dossier \u00e9tant fixe et la largeur ne convenant pas forc\u00e9ment \u00e0 toutes les morphologies. Ces si\u00e8ges qui ne p\u00e8sent que 13.1 kg chacun proposent trois r\u00e9glages de hauteur via une fixation par vis, il faudra donc bien choisir la taille de votre passager(\u00e8re) \u00e0 l\u2019avance ! Astucieux : le si\u00e8ge se d\u00e9place sur une glissi\u00e8re inclin\u00e9e, de sorte que lorsque l\u2019on recule le si\u00e8ge, la hauteur d\u2019assise diminue. Cela d\u00e9panne lorsqu\u2019il faut changer de conducteur \u00e0 la h\u00e2te. Mais si vous pr\u00e9f\u00e9rez davantage de confort ainsi qu\u2019un dossier inclinable \u2013 et chauffant en option \u2013 vous pouvez choisir les si\u00e8ges Confort 6 voies \u00e9galement fabriqu\u00e9s par Sabelt (voir fiche technique ci-apr\u00e8s).<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa maniabilit\u00e9, son moteur tr\u00e8s souple et sa bo\u00eete automatique coh\u00e9rente, l\u2019Alpine A110 se m\u00e8ne sans aucune g\u00eane dans un trafic urbain et dense, tout en restant sobre gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son poids contenu. Son ch\u00e2ssis non r\u00e9glable en duret\u00e9 fait appel \u00e0 des but\u00e9es hydrauliques, ce qui permet de pr\u00e9server un minimum de confort sur la majorit\u00e9 du d\u00e9battement.<\/p>\n

La visibilit\u00e9 arri\u00e8re est limit\u00e9e et je ne dispose pas de cam\u00e9ra de recul. Ce d\u00e9faut a \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9 sur les nouvelles versions, la cam\u00e9ra de recul \u00e9tant propos\u00e9e en option sur la Pure et de s\u00e9rie sur la L\u00e9gende. Au niveau pratique, l\u2019Alpine A110 dispose de deux petits coffres offrant 196 litres au total, une capacit\u00e9 d\u00e9j\u00e0 respectable pour ce type de v\u00e9hicule. Un pack Rangement est disponible en option, comprenant un filet derri\u00e8re le si\u00e8ge passager ainsi qu\u2019une bo\u00eete ferm\u00e9e entre les deux si\u00e8ges.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ergonomie est bonne, mais il subsiste quelques d\u00e9tails perfectibles, comme l\u2019absence d\u2019\u00e9clairage sur les boutons du volant ou l\u2019implantation d\u2019un comodo Renault pour radio et t\u00e9l\u00e9phone un peu trop pr\u00e8s de la palette de droite. Le syst\u00e8me Hi-Fi de conception fran\u00e7aise Focal d\u00e9livre un son parfait et parvient \u00e0 couvrir le son du moteur sur l\u2019autoroute, mais je peste contre les coupures intempestives de la r\u00e9ception DAB, au point de parfois privil\u00e9gier la musique de mon t\u00e9l\u00e9phone reli\u00e9 par Bluetooth.<\/p>\n

Passons aux choses s\u00e9rieuses : la conduite \u00e0 proprement parler, voire le pilotage ! Car c\u2019est bien de cela qu\u2019il peut s\u2019agir, en fonction de votre humeur et des conditions. Je coupe la musique et bascule donc en mode Sport via le bouton rouge situ\u00e9 sur le volant. Le bruit se fait d\u2019embl\u00e9e plus pr\u00e9sent, et la bo\u00eete commute les rapports plus rapidement et \u00e0 plus hauts r\u00e9gimes. Une pression sur la touche D permet de passer en mode manuel en utilisant les palettes fixes plac\u00e9es derri\u00e8re le volant. Pour que la bo\u00eete ne passe pas au rapport sup\u00e9rieur automatiquement au rupteur, il faudra passer en mode Track, lequel d\u00e9sactive l\u2019anti-patinage et propose une calibration de l\u2019ESP plus permissive. Mais si cela ne vous suffit pas, il est possible de d\u00e9sactiver enti\u00e8rement l\u2019ESP via une touche situ\u00e9e sous l\u2019\u00e9cran central (et ce dans n’importe quel mode de conduite).<\/p>\n

Bien que je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re l\u2019affichage des compteurs en mode Sport, je choisirai le mode Track sur les routes sinueuses connues. La voiture gagne encore en bestialit\u00e9 avec des passages de rapport qui deviennent brutaux et encore plus sonores, j\u2019adore\u00a0! Les 252 chevaux du 4 cylindres ne manquent pas de voix, mais ils ne sont pas aussi lyriques que ceux d\u2019une Alfa Romeo 4C<\/a>. Mais tout est relatif, et la Fran\u00e7aise a pour avantage de moduler sa sonorit\u00e9 \u00e0 travers ses modes de conduite, alors que l\u2019Italienne vous assourdira sur l\u2019autoroute.<\/p>\n

Aux limites, le comportement dynamique de l\u2019Alpine A110 demeure sans reproche du moment qu\u2019on applique la r\u00e8gle commune aux voitures \u00e0 moteur arri\u00e8re\u00a0: freiner suffisamment tard afin de conserver du frein jusqu\u2019au milieu de la courbe, avant d\u2019ouvrir progressivement en grand. Son train avant est alors pr\u00e9cis et mordant \u00e0 souhait, et m\u00eame en entrant plus fort sur les freins, je n\u2019ai pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pi\u00e9g\u00e9 par du sous-virage. La motricit\u00e9 est naturellement au rendez-vous, m\u00eame si le d\u00e9lestage du train arri\u00e8re coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence des pneus d’hiver engendre tant\u00f4t une l\u00e9g\u00e8re glisse en sortie, ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne qui s\u2019accentue naturellement sur chauss\u00e9e humide. Quel plaisir que d\u2019encha\u00eener les virages avec cette Alpine\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Certains d\u00e9plorent l\u2019absence de ch\u00e2ssis pilot\u00e9 et un comportement trop souple en conduite dynamique. De mon c\u00f4t\u00e9, je n\u2019ai pas trouv\u00e9 cette prise de roulis d\u00e9rangeante car gr\u00e2ce aux but\u00e9es hydrauliques, il n\u2019y a aucun pompage intempestif une fois la voiture en appui. En outre, ce ch\u00e2ssis est optimal pour une utilisation sur des routes de montagne dont le rev\u00eatement est souvent imparfait. Il est possible, voire probable, que le constat serait diff\u00e9rent sur circuit avec des pneus semi-slicks.<\/p>\n

Les diff\u00e9rentes variantes d\u2019\u00e9quipements, options et jantes figurent dans la fiche technique ci-apr\u00e8s. Dans les deux cas, l\u2019Alpine A110 est plus abordable que ses rivales que sont l\u2019Alfa Romeo 4C<\/a> (d\u00e8s CHF 70’800.-) et la Porsche 718 Cayman (d\u00e8s CHF 72’100.-). Mais selon moi, les trois autos ne sont pas vraiment concurrentes en mati\u00e8re de sensations et de philosophie, ce seront donc davantage vos go\u00fbts que les tarifs qui vont trancher.<\/p>\n
