Elle ne sera commercialis\u00e9e qu\u2019\u00e0 partir du mois d\u2019octobre mais Sport-Auto.ch a d\u00e9j\u00e0 eu le privil\u00e8ge de l\u2019essayer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prenez le V8 biturbo du coup\u00e9 Mercedes-AMG GT test\u00e9 l\u2019an pass\u00e9<\/a> et greffez-le dans une S\u00e9rie C, vous aurez alors un cocktail explosif propos\u00e9 en berline, en break, en cabriolet et en coup\u00e9. M\u00eame si chacune de ces carrosseries \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sente lors des essais de presse organis\u00e9s en Allemagne, j\u2019ai choisi le Coup\u00e9. Il s\u2019agit de la version la plus sportive et c\u2019est avec une telle carrosserie que Mercedes-AMG s\u2019aligne dans le championnat DTM, notamment avec le pilote genevois Edoardo Mortara<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sit\u00f4t sorti de l\u2019a\u00e9roport de Padeborn, au nord de Francfort, j\u2019accorde ma pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un coup\u00e9 gris-noir mat. La d\u00e9nomination exacte de sa couleur est \u00abdesigno graphite gray magno\u00bb. Avant de m\u2019installer \u00e0 son volant, un coup d\u2019\u0153il sous le capot s\u2019impose. Contrairement \u00e0 ce qui se pratique dans la production en grande s\u00e9rie, les moteurs AMG sont assembl\u00e9s \u00e0 la main. De la pose du vilebrequin et des arbres \u00e0 cames aux diff\u00e9rents branchements, chaque propulseur est mont\u00e9 par un seul technicien qui appose sa signature sur la plaquette du moteur AMG. Une telle plaquette se trouvait aussi sur le moteur de la Nissan GT-R\u00a0essay\u00e9e l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pass\u00e9<\/a>. Celui-ci \u00e9tait \u00e9galement assembl\u00e9 \u00e0 la main.<\/p>\n

Ce n\u2019est pas la seule similitude entre ces deux voitures. Toutes les deux sont de v\u00e9ritables dragsters \u00e0 quatre places. Mais si la Japonaise est propuls\u00e9e par un 6 cylindres, l\u2019Allemande fait appel \u00e0 un V8 plus explosif et surtout plus expressif avec ses tonalit\u00e9s caverneuses. Je m\u2019en rends imm\u00e9diatement compte en acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant \u00e0 fond en entrant sur l\u2019autoroute \u00e0 vitesse illimit\u00e9e qui doit m\u2019amener au circuit de Bilster Berg.<\/p>\n

Cette piste s\u2019av\u00e8re id\u00e9ale pour tester les deux principales nouveaut\u00e9s du mill\u00e9sime 2019 de la C63 S, \u00e0 savoir la bo\u00eete \u00e0 9 rapports Speedshift MCT AMG, qui remplace celle \u00e0 7 rapports utilis\u00e9e jusqu\u2019ici, et le nouveau syst\u00e8me antipatinage. Au sujet de la premi\u00e8re, elle est plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re que la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente et optimise la r\u00e9ponse d\u00e8s l\u2019enfoncement de la p\u00e9dale d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur. Un vrai r\u00e9gal, surtout sur un circuit tel que Bilster Berg o\u00f9 un virage \u00e0 l\u2019aveugle, en pleine descente, est suivi d\u2019une mont\u00e9e vertigineuse. Celle-ci pr\u00e9c\u00e8de une chicane qui s\u2019ouvre sur une descente o\u00f9 je d\u00e9passe \u00e0 chaque fois les 200 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Le fait de rouler sur un circuit ferm\u00e9 permet de bien analyser les diff\u00e9rences entre les programmes Sport, Sport+ et RACE qui modifient la r\u00e9ponse du moteur et de la bo\u00eete de vitesses, l\u2019amortissement et la sonorit\u00e9. Quant \u00e0 la nouvelle fonction Dynamic Select AMG, elle \u00e9largit les fonctions de l\u2019ESP et maximise la motricit\u00e9 dans les virages. Je peux ainsi acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer \u00e0 fond sans craindre un t\u00eate-\u00e0-queue inopportun. C\u2019est tr\u00e8s s\u00e9curisant avec 510 ch transmis aux seules roues arri\u00e8re, m\u00eame si je sens bien que l\u2019\u00e9lectronique freine un peu trop la voiture dans la chicane pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9voqu\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce au syst\u00e8me AMG Traction Control, je peux cependant modifier le patinage de l\u2019essieu arri\u00e8re sur neuf niveaux. Voyant que j\u2019aligne les tours beaucoup plus rapidement que les autres journalistes pr\u00e9sents ce jour-l\u00e0 \u00e0 Bilster Berg, Maximilian G\u00f6tz, instructeur de l\u2019acad\u00e9mie de pilotage AMG et ancien \u00e9quipier du Genevois Harold Primat en GT3, me recommande de passer du niveau 2, qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 avec des r\u00e9serves de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9es, aux niveaux 3, 4 et 5. Les deux derniers autorisent de belles d\u00e9rives. Les niveaux 6, 7 et 8 entra\u00eenent en revanche un patinage excessif alors que le niveau\u00a09 d\u00e9connecte enti\u00e8rement l\u2019anti-patinage.<\/p>\n

Autant pr\u00e9ciser tout de suite que c\u2019est le pied g\u00e9ant. L\u2019immense couple de 700 Nm, disponible d\u00e8s 2\u2019000 trs\/min, n\u2019y est pas \u00e9tranger et, avec un 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h abattu en \u00e0 peine 3,9 secondes, le paysage d\u00e9file \u00e0 toute vitesse d\u00e8s que l\u2019on quitte les stands. Le diff\u00e9rentiel arri\u00e8re autobloquant \u00e0 commande \u00e9lectronique r\u00e9duit par ailleurs le patinage de la roue int\u00e9rieure au virage et permet de relancer la voiture encore plus rapidement en sortie de courbe.<\/p>\n

Le mill\u00e9sime 2019 de la C63 S Coup\u00e9 se distingue par des sorties d\u2019\u00e9chappement remani\u00e9es, un nouveau design de la jupe arri\u00e8re et un d\u00e9flecteur in\u00e9dit sur le couvercle du coffre. A l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, la finition est irr\u00e9prochable. L\u2019aluminium de la console m\u00e9diane renforce l\u2019image sportive de la C63 S qui, aux dires de Verena Hutter, du service de presse de Mercedes Suisse, sera davantage pl\u00e9biscit\u00e9e en Suisse que la C43 de 376 ch essay\u00e9e l\u2019automne dernier<\/a> dans sa version d\u00e9capotable. \u00abNous savons, par exp\u00e9rience, que la client\u00e8le helv\u00e9tique privil\u00e9gie les mod\u00e8les les plus puissants et les mieux \u00e9quip\u00e9s\u00bb, m\u2019explique-t-elle. \u00abLa C63 S sera m\u00eame davantage pl\u00e9biscit\u00e9e que la C63.\u00bb Trente-quatre chevaux (476 au lieu de 510) et CHF 9’500.- s\u00e9parent la C63 de la C63 S, disponible d\u00e8s CHF 117’000.-.<\/p>\n

La nouvelle bo\u00eete automatique \u00e0 9 rapports a su remplacer avec brio l’ancienne bo\u00eete \u00e0 7 rapports, tandis que l’antipatinage param\u00e9trable sur 9 niveaux permettra \u00e0 chacun de trouver ses marques en fonction des conditions de conduite. Son tarif d’entr\u00e9e de CHF 117’000.- ne semble pas excessif compte tenu des performances et du soin apport\u00e9 \u00e0 l’habitacle mais, comme souvent dans cette cat\u00e9gorie de v\u00e9hicules, il faudra composer avec une longue liste d’options qui tirera le prix de plusieurs dizaines de milliers de francs vers haut.<\/b><\/p>\n
