Au premier regard, la VW Arteon se la joue agressive, avec une calandre tr\u00e8s prononc\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019avant, int\u00e9grant les optiques ac\u00e9r\u00e9es dans les lignes chrom\u00e9es de celle-ci. La ligne g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l\u2019auto reprend les codes de la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente version avec un toit plongeant sur l\u2019arri\u00e8re, finissant sur une lunette b\u00e9ante. L\u2019arri\u00e8re comme l\u2019avant reprend \u00e9videment la signature visuelle de la marque. Visuellement, cette Volkswagen Arteon en finition R-Line vient rajouter encore un peu plus de sportivit\u00e9 dans les bas de caisse et jupes chrom\u00e9es avec deux sorties d\u2019\u00e9chappement tr\u00e8s bien int\u00e9gr\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re et un bandeau chrom\u00e9 \u00e9galement floqu\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0R-Line\u00a0\u00bb sur les ailes avant, le tout termin\u00e9 avec une discr\u00e8te mais efficace lame de coffre laqu\u00e9e noire. Pour habiller la belle, rien de mieux que la tr\u00e8s extravagante et non moins discr\u00e8te teinte \u00ab\u00a0Kurkuma Yellow\u00a0\u00bb propos\u00e9e en option afin de lui rajouter un c\u00f4t\u00e9 encore plus piment\u00e9. Si je comptais passer inaper\u00e7u dans une voiture d\u2019un \u00a0tel gabarit, c\u2019est impossible, sa couleur attirant bon nombre de regards au fil des kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

L\u2019heure est venue pour moi de passer derri\u00e8re le volant de cette berline aux faux airs de limousine. Confortablement assis dans de tr\u00e8s larges si\u00e8ges semi cuir-alcantara floqu\u00e9s d\u2019un sigle R, on appr\u00e9cie la vue que nous offre les places avant sur une console de bord assez \u00e9pur\u00e9e et stricte, nous sommes bien dans une allemande. Une grande barrette simili fibre de carbone vient souligner de larges buses d\u2019a\u00e9rations. Le tout se marie dans un design simple, sobre mais efficace et cela ne pourra que plaire \u00e0 la majeure partie d\u2019entre nous. L\u2019\u00e9cran tactile venant remplir le montant central est tr\u00e8s intuitif avec un large panel de fonctionnalit\u00e9s diverses et vari\u00e9es qui ne feront que rendre le voyage plus agr\u00e9able.<\/p>\n

Vient alors le moment de prendre la route. Mais peut-on allier sportivit\u00e9 et motorisation diesel ? En effet, c\u2019est sous sa motorisation 2.0L TDi DSG7 4Motion que Sport-Auto.ch a pris en main cette nouvelle Arteon. Bizarre me direz-vous et pourtant, sous le capot se trouve bien un moteur diesel d\u00e9veloppant 240 ch et 500 Nm accompagn\u00e9 de deux turbocompresseurs. D\u2019embl\u00e9e, la bo\u00eete automatique \u00e0 double embrayage DSG7 met en confiance et laisserait presque oublier que nous somme dans une voiture \u00e0 moteur thermique, tant les passages de rapport se font dans une douceur exquise.<\/p>\n

Les diff\u00e9rentes assistances \u00e0 la conduite telles que le \u00ab Line Assist \u00bb fonctionnent \u00e0 merveille et permettent au conducteur de voyager dans un confort ind\u00e9niable. Plac\u00e9e en mode \u00ab comfort \u00bb, l\u2019auto se mue en grande routi\u00e8re et les diff\u00e9rentes asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s de la route ne se ressentes quasiment pas malgr\u00e9 les jantes de 20 pouces. Avalant des kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019autoroute pour rentrer \u00e0 mon domicile, j\u2019adopte une conduite \u00a0souple pour d\u00e9couvrir le potentiel \u00e9conomique de cette Arteon, dont la consommation se monte alors \u00e0 5 l\/100km. En moyenne, il faudra tabler sur 7 l\/100km, ce qui demeure excellent pour une routi\u00e8re de ce gabarit ! Plein fait, la voiture m\u2019annonce une autonomie de 1000 km : parfait pour un lendemain qui s\u2019annonce sportif !<\/p>\n

Profitant du climat propice aux beaux couch\u00e9s de soleil, je me lance en fin d\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi \u00e0 l\u2019assaut du Creux du Van, non loin de Neuch\u00e2tel, afin de profiter de ce dernier jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa derni\u00e8re lueur.<\/p>\n
Pour cette mont\u00e9e, je troque le mode \u00ab confort \u00bb avec le mode \u00ab sport \u00bb, moyennant \u00e0 l\u2019auto des reprises plus directes, des suspensions plus raides et le moyen de pouvoir se d\u00e9battre avec les palettes au volant. D\u00e8s les premiers coups de gaz, l\u2019auto nous procure un sacr\u00e9 coup de pied avec ses 500 Nm, tr\u00e8s vive \u00e0 bas r\u00e9gimes, les reprises demeurent excellentes compte tenu des 240 ch. La route n\u2019est pas des plus lisse, mais l\u2019Arteon ne bronche pas et laisse \u00e0 son conducteur la permission de profiter des diff\u00e9rentes courbes qui jonchent son trac\u00e9. La prise de roulis est contenue dans les courbes rapides mais le poids se fait ressentir dans les \u00e9pingles. Comme souvent avec les moteurs diesel, titiller la zone rouge n\u2019est gu\u00e8re utile, le 2.0L TDi donnant le meilleur de lui-m\u00eame \u00e0 mi- r\u00e9gimes.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s quelques kilom\u00e8tres en rase campagne, je d\u00e9cide de rouler plus calmement pour profiter du toit ouvrant qui est fort agr\u00e9able en fin de soir\u00e9e. Une bonne centaine de clich\u00e9s dans la poche, et je redescends en direction du lac afin de terminer cette balade estivale. Toujours en mode \u00ab\u00a0sport\u00a0\u00bb, vitres ouvertes, je me laisse encore emporter par la souplesse de la direction afin de me faire plaisir sur le chemin du retour. Je remarque non \u00e0 ma grande surprise que le son est virtuellement retranscrit via les enceintes de l\u2019habitacle. Cela est devenu monnaie courante pour le constructeur de Wolfsburg et il est vrai que la belle ne pouvait \u00eatre qu\u2019une pi\u00e8tre m\u00e9lomane au vu de sa motorisation.<\/p>\n

En revanche, les kilom\u00e8tres parcourus seront le dernier de ses soucis tant ce moteur coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 la douceur de la bo\u00eete DSG7 est un r\u00e9gal sur les longs trajets. On lui reprochera quelques d\u00e9tails comme l\u2019absence de d\u00e9tecteur d\u2019angles mort ainsi que les r\u00e9glages manuels pour le volant et les si\u00e8ges, ce qui peut d\u00e9cevoir sur une berline de ce rang avoisinant tout de m\u00eame les CHF 70’000.-. En d\u00e9pit de ces quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments, la VW Arteon R-Line 2.0 TDi reste une berline s\u00fbre pour tout p\u00e8re de famille voulant se faire plaisir tout en gardant son porte-monnaie
