N\u00e9e le 1er juin 2014 en tant que marque \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re, DS Automobiles dispose d\u00e9sormais d\u2019une voiture \u00e0 la hauteur de ses ambitions avec la DS7 Crossback. Cela vaut en particulier pour la version de 225 ch, que la marque premium du Groupe PSA nous a permis d\u2019essayer dans le sud de la France.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A l\u2019origine, de 2009 \u00e0 2014, la ligne DS caract\u00e9risait les versions haut de gamme de Citro\u00ebn. Devenue une marque \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re il y a quatre ans, elle ne proposait jusqu\u2019ici que des Citro\u00ebn modifi\u00e9es. Cela n\u2019est plus le cas avec la DS7 Crossback, la premi\u00e8re DS de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Celle-ci est \u00e9galement la premi\u00e8re DS qui doit permettre \u00e0 PSA de se faire une place au soleil au sein du segment premium, un peu de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que le groupe Volkswagen l\u2019a fait avec Audi pour concurrencer BMW et Mercedes.<\/p>\n

Avec les premi\u00e8res DS7 Crossback qui devaient composer jusqu\u2019ici avec des motorisations d\u2019au maximum 180ch, de nombreux observateurs \u00e9taient de l\u2019avis que la place au soleil \u00e9voqu\u00e9e ci-dessus \u00e9tait loin d\u2019\u00eatre gagn\u00e9e. Les perspectives sont plus prometteuses avec la commercialisation d\u00e9sormais d\u2019une version essence de 225 ch. Et ces perspectives seront encore plus prometteuses avec l\u2019arriv\u00e9e l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine d\u2019une version 4×4 de 300 ch propuls\u00e9e par un moteur essence hybride rechargeable.<\/p>\n

\nA l\u2019avenir, tous les futurs mod\u00e8les DS proposeront soit une version hybride rechargeable, soit 100% \u00e9lectrique. Les responsables de DS Automobiles ont m\u00eame annonc\u00e9 que ces motorisations repr\u00e9senteront plus d\u2019un tiers des ventes de la marque en 2025 et qu\u2019elles b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront des enseignements recueillis dans le sport automobile, notamment en Formule E, un championnat de monoplaces 100% \u00e9lectrique dans lequel DS Automobiles est pr\u00e9sent depuis 2015.<\/p>\n

En attendant les DS7 Crossback 300 ch, les deux DS7 Crossback 225 ch que nous avons pu conduire lors de deux jours d\u2019essai en France nous ont fait une tr\u00e8s bonne impression. Cela tant au niveau de la qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue que de la technologie embarqu\u00e9e. Il en va de m\u00eame pour la strat\u00e9gie commerciale. Les dirigeants de DS nous ont en effet expliqu\u00e9 les raisons pour lesquelles leur premier mod\u00e8le 100% DS est un SUV et non pas un coup\u00e9 sportif comme les premiers prototypes DS Divine et DS E-Tense.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Compte tenu de la physionomie du march\u00e9, il \u00e9tait logique que la premi\u00e8re DS de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration soit un SUV\u00a0\u00bb, note Eric Apode, directeur du produit. \u00ab\u00a0Dans tous les pays qui consomment de l\u2019automobile premium, c\u2019est le SUV qui pr\u00e9sente le plus de potentiel en termes de volume et de rentabilit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb Ce constat n\u2019est pas \u00e9tranger au fait que l’Alfa Romeo Stelvio<\/a>, dont les versions les moins puissantes disponibles en Suisse d\u00e9veloppent 180 et 200 ch, soit la voiture la plus vendue du constructeur italien dans notre pays.<\/p>\n

\nPour en revenir \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue, force est de constater qu\u2019elle atteint dans la DS7 Crossback un raffinement qui \u00e9tait jusqu\u2019ici inconnu dans le segment premium fran\u00e7ais. Le choix de mat\u00e9riaux valorisants, \u00e0 commencer par les inserts de cuir et les commandes en aluminium, est m\u00eame sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui que l\u2019on peut trouver chez les concurrents allemands, ainsi que chez Lexus et Infiniti qui s\u2019attaquent eux aussi au segment premium avec de solides arguments.<\/p>\n

Et \u00e0 propos des si\u00e8ges, leur rev\u00eatement est tr\u00e8s luxueux, notamment ceux dont les coutures s\u2019inspirent des bracelets de montre. La montre, justement, est dissimul\u00e9e sur la planche de bord et surgit par rotation apr\u00e8s avoir appuy\u00e9 sur le d\u00e9marreur. Ce dispositif n\u2019est pas sans rappeler le tableau de bord rotatif de la nouvelle Bentley Continental<\/a>\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Une fois mis en marche, le moteur s\u2019av\u00e8re silencieux. Les ing\u00e9nieurs de DS ont apport\u00e9 un soin particulier \u00e0 l\u2019insonorisation. Des isolants performants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9s d\u00e8s les mod\u00e8les d\u2019entr\u00e9e de gamme. Cela, entre autres, dans les panneaux de porte, entre le moteur et l\u2019habitable, dans les passages de roue et sous le capot.<\/p>\n

Au chapitre de la technologie embarqu\u00e9e, la plate-forme modulaire EMP2, d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9e sur les Peugeot 3008 et 5008, a vu le train arri\u00e8re \u00e0 traverse d\u00e9formable \u00eatre remplac\u00e9 par un mod\u00e8le multi-bras. Ce remplacement n\u2019est pas \u00e9tranger au plaisir de conduite que nous avons ressenti au volant de la DS7 Crossback 225 ch sur les routes sinueuses de Provence.<\/p>\n

Ce plaisir s\u2019explique \u00e9galement par une excellente bo\u00eete de vitesse Aisin \u00e0 huit rapports et un ch\u00e2ssis remarquable. Il suffit de passer en mode sport pour s\u2019en convaincre. Le ressenti de la route s\u2019av\u00e8re alors excellent et la pr\u00e9cision est au rendez-vous, m\u00eame si nous aurions souhait\u00e9 moins de roulis dans les virages abord\u00e9s \u00e0 vive allure. Au niveau des performances, l\u2019usine annonce 234 km\/h en vitesse de pointe et 8,2 secondes de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h.<\/p>\n

\nLors du premier jour de ces essais sur route, nous avons conduit une DS7 Crossback de couleur Or Byzantin dans une configuration Rivoli. Celle-ci comprenait des commandes sous l\u2019\u00e9cran central avec des incrustations en cristal, des rails de console centrale en aluminium guilloch\u00e9 et des si\u00e8ges \u00e9lectriques recouverts de cuir grain\u00e9. Le deuxi\u00e8me jour, c\u2019est une DS7 Crossback de couleur Gris Platinium qui nous attendait dans une configuration Performance Line \u00ab\u00a0conjuguant sportivit\u00e9 et \u00e9l\u00e9gance\u00a0\u00bb gr\u00e2ce notamment \u00e0 des jantes sp\u00e9cifiques de 19 pouces, une sellerie en alcantara et un p\u00e9dalier en aluminium \u00ab\u00a0qui donne une touche suppl\u00e9mentaire de sportivit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\nLes deux versions avaient de magnifiques phares LED avec trois modules rotatifs qui sont un clin d\u2019\u0153il aux feux tournants des DS d\u2019antan. Magnifique est \u00e9galement l\u2019adjectif qui qualifie les feux arri\u00e8re de la DS7 Crossback. Plac\u00e9s au-dessous des indicateurs de direction qui d\u00e9filent, ils comprennent les \u00e9cailles grav\u00e9es d\u00e9j\u00e0 vues sur le prototype DS E-Tense 100% \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est \u00e9galement un mod\u00e8le 100% \u00e9lectrique que DS d\u00e9voilera au mois d\u2019octobre. S\u2019il s\u2019av\u00e8re aussi r\u00e9ussi que la DS7 Crossback, la marque premium de PSA a un bel avenir devant elle. Cela d\u2019autant plus que DS ne s\u2019est pas seulement inspir\u00e9 de ses concurrents allemands pour leur qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue mais \u00e9galement pour leur lucrative politique des options et par cons\u00e9quent pour leur rentabilit\u00e9. Si le prix de base d\u2019une DS7 Crossback 225ch s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 CHF 45’550.-, les deux mod\u00e8les que nous avons essay\u00e9s co\u00fbtaient un peu plus de CHF 55’000.-.<\/p>\n
