A noter qu’ils ne sont pas chauffants ni r\u00e9glables en hauteur. Une fois bien cal\u00e9 dans ceux-ci, la grande amplitude de r\u00e9glage en hauteur et en profondeur du volant permettent de trouver une bonne position de conduite. Le p\u00e9dalier est id\u00e9alement espac\u00e9 pour permettre le talon-pointe, le Rev-Matching n’\u00e9tant pas de la partie. Les plastiques int\u00e9rieurs ne d\u00e9gagent pas une grande impression de qualit\u00e9, et l’ordinateur de bord n\u2019est pas des plus r\u00e9actifs. Mais malgr\u00e9 la cylindr\u00e9e de 2.3L, c’est bien un quatre cylindres qui se trouve sous le capot, Ford ayant abandonn\u00e9 le 5 cylindres pour des raisons d’\u00e9missions de CO2. De plus, le guidage du s\u00e9lecteur se montre pr\u00e9cis, sans toutefois \u00eatre aussi chirurgical que sur la Honda Civic Type R. Pour ne pas \u00eatre g\u00ean\u00e9 par les coupures g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par l’ESP, je s\u00e9lectionne le mode Circuit, qui repousse les limites tol\u00e9r\u00e9es par celui-ci, alors qu\u2019une touche d\u00e9di\u00e9e permet de le d\u00e9sactiver totalement. L’amortissement se fait plus dur, voir m\u00eame trop pour la plupart de nos routes. Mais les p\u00e9tarades de l’\u00e9chappement au levier de pied, le grippe procur\u00e9 par les Michellin Super Sport et les faibles mouvements de caisse me font savourer cette auto. Le train avant est difficilement pris en d\u00e9faut, tenant la corde sans \u00e9largir la trajectoire. Des remont\u00e9es de couple se font par contre sentir. Mais au volant de la Ford Focus RS+, il y a presque de quoi faire des incantations \u00e0 la pluie. Fini le train arri\u00e8re viss\u00e9 au sol, quasiment impossible \u00e0 faire d\u00e9crocher. Maintenant, lorsque le pied droit se fait lourd, l’arri\u00e8re enroule. Il est enfin possible de passer une \u00e9pingle en glisse des quatre roues en rentrant au frein \u00e0 main, chose impossible sur le sec, l’\u00e9lectronique reprenant toujours le dessus. Concernant le mode drift, il est pour moi d\u00e9volu \u00e0 faire des rondelles sur une place. Je pensais que les \u00e9triers rouges (comme sur la VW Up GTI) freinaient mieux que les autres, mais les gris s’en sortent bien aussi. Dans le cas pr\u00e9cis, c’est plut\u00f4t les disques qui ont pris de la couleur. Freiner 1’569 kg en descente cr\u00e9e \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de joules, que le peu de lignes droites de cette route ne permettent pas de dissiper.
